Respectful Poems | Examples

RESPECTFUL

It is teachable
Yet it cannot be found
The sequences
It is reachable
Yet it cannot be established
The formulation
Happiness,

Release those feelings
As they would not be needed
It has come
Release that pain
As it would not be endured
It has gone
Freedom,

It is productive
Yet it cannot be used
The morals
It is constructive
Yet it cannot be created
The values
Happiness

Marty King and Shenika Sims: a Respectful Meeting At the Old Spot

MARTY KING

it has been a long time
you decided to drown in an unknown body of water
it feels good to know that you are okay
i guess you felt that you had to move on
where did our love go wrong
i choose not to ask you that and focus on the here and the now
you are looking good, and i see the ring

SHENIKA SIMS

it has been a long time
you decided to be a statue with a number in home's normalcy
it feels good to know that you are still happy continuing in continuum
i guess you felt that maintaining a legacy of maintenance is what you had to do
our love was split into different directions by changes in time, wants, and needs
i choose to be happy to see you and focus on the here and the now
you are looking good, and i see the contentment in your eyes

The Calming of the Storm

His heartbeat is
what soothes me
Brings me the same peace
I bring to him
He be air to me
when on my own
I cannot breathe
His strong arms
is the iron wall
shielding me from
the downpour of my
painful thoughts.....

Premium MemberOrange Is Arrogant and Pompous

Orange steps into view
Demanding her due,
Green plots
Blue demurs
Pink laughs

Grandma rolls her eyes
She has met other oranges
Purple sits tight, not relinquishing the throne.
Grandma mouths ‘sit put’ to Purple

Orange throws the biggest nastiest fit ever seen in the forest.
She wants Purple to give her the respect she thinks she has earned.
She uses mean words, and gives us her worst example of terrible.
Blue masquerades as a bunny; a quick flash and she is gone.

Pink and Green look to Grandma who turns and walks off.
Both Purple and the throne have disappeared, tucked away safely elsewhere.
Orange throws herself down on the grass, yelling and kicking.
Screaming until she is hoarse, until she loses her words.

Spoiled, the elves think. Irreverent, the faeries agree.
She should have been respectful to Grandma, whispers Green.
Pink laughs

Premium MemberThrough Respectful Eyes We See

Starling mimic me

The sound of broken dreams

I hear you mimic them

The Crow, Owl and the Wren.

Do you do it to blend in?

Starling please mimic me

The cry from my heart

Starling try to sing

My sorrowful sounding din

The sounds of a human being

Broken on his knees

Starling mimic me

Show you understand my plea

What's that sound you call?

You heard me after all?

Starling played my sound

I stood on solid ground

Before Starling flew away

Starling asked me to repay

Some sound he wanted back

Lost love, well perhaps?

I mimic the sound he called

He turned and looked at me

Through respectful eyes we see

As starling flew away

Somehow some pain eased in me that day

I'd thought but somehow knew

I'd helped that Starling too.

Naturally Respectful

Above all, let's respect Nature,
It's God's gift, a divine structure;
The heavens declare His glory,
In His wisdom founded the earth
And wrought the miracle of birth,
His creation tells his story;
Above all, let's respect nature,
It's God's gift, a divine structure.

With faith His love we understand,
In need if we but seek His hand,
The heavens declare His glory,
His creation tells His story;
Above all, let's respect nature,
It's God's gift, a divine structure.

Free Cee a Respectful Rebuttal To Ms Cathy Holmes I Rise

DIE ARISE

WHENEVER I WAKE UP AND ARISE
I AM TOO ALARMED TO OPEN MINE EYES
DUE TO YOUR GOD FOR CREATING MORE SORROW
AND THE FURTHERERNCE OF FEAR FOR YET ANOTHER TOMORROW
WHAT WILL I DO WITH THIS BRAND NEW DAY?
I SUPPOSE I SHALL SIMPLY ATTEMPT TO CHASE MORE DEMONS AWAY
WILL I FEAR THE PUTRIFIED AIR I AM FORCED TO SUCK IN?
WHICH IS JUST DESERTS FOR MANKINDS EVERY SIN?
WILL I WEEP FOR THE TREES, FLOWERS AND POLLUTED SEA AIR
AND CRY FOR THAT WHICH HUMANITY IS DOING TO THE RAIN FOREST THAT I CONSIDER UNFAIR?
WILL I LOOK AT THE DESTRUCTION OF BEAUTY I CANNOT TAKE FOR GRANTED,
AND THINK ABOUT THE PUTRID GROUND IN WHICH TOO MANY OF MY FRIENDS CORPSES ARE PLANTED?
WILL I CURSE YOUR GOD FOR THE HORROR AND HORRENDOUS NATURE OF THINGS HE HAS WILLED,
WHILST CONDEMNING HIM FOR THE LITTLE INNOCENTS HE BI-MONTHLY HAS KILLED?
ALL I CAN DO IS FEAR, BE FRIGHTENED AND FRET
AND TAKE ANOTHER SHOT OF TEQUILLA THAT MIGHT ALLOW ME TO FORGET
        (C) 2012....PHREEPOETREE ~free cee!~
P.S. IN CASE YOU'VE NEVER HEARD IT A SINGER NAMED DALLAS HOLMS HAS A SONG ENTITLE "RISE AGAIN" AND IT IS AMAZINLY INSPIRATIONAL!

Respectful Admiration

I often wonder, in years to come,
when I'm no longer here.
Will I be spoken nicely of,
with remembrances fond and dear?

When friends and family gather 'round,
and speak of days gone-by,
will they think of me in pleasant terms,
or with sadness, and a sigh?

Will my mistakes, outshine the good,
and leave a sense of doubt?
Will folks get the wrong idea,
what I was all about?

Will they remember my accomplishments,
with tender love and pride?
Will they remember that, succeed or not,
how hard I always tried?

If, and when, my name comes up,
in future conversation,
I hope they treat my legacy,
with resprectful admiration!

I've always tried to get along,
with folks as best I could,
to show respectful understanding,
like I feel, all people should!

I ask for help, from up-above,
when I say my prayers at night,
that whenever people think of me,
it's about the things that I did right!
