Reproduction Poems | Examples

per biology:

am i alive?
what classifies something as alive?

    respiration
i am breathing
but just barely
trying to capture any air i can between sobs
    growth
i am growing
it becomes increasingly difficult
recognizing myself in the mirror every day
and believing the next age i'm turning
    excretion
i am excreting
i sweat when i do pretty much anything
even though i'm always cold
is there something wrong with me?
or am i just overthinking again?
    reproduction
i am not reproducing
i can
but i'm not sure i want to
i wouldn't be a good mom
i'm worried i'd be too much like my own
    metabolism
i am metabolizing
i always claimed it to be fast but maybe
it's since it doesn't have much to work with
    movement
i am moving
my body does it without me knowing
or being conscious
it just moves
    response to stimuli
i am responding
i respond too much
too dramatically
too sensitively

i fit all the criteria
so i guess i am alive
i'm just not living

Gazing early dawn

@Bappa Mazumder

Gazing early dawn, to be blooming soon
Gazing early dawn, to be blooming soon
Night is still young, unending
Weather, the morning forecast predicted a rain, ensuing
And then, this will stop me from seeing you, a refrain
The city and the outskirt
A lot sits in between, in hindrance
And the present tense and
the erotic boy zone
wondering through Facebook, whats app for
a lover boon, millimeters to million, thriving.
I am a heritage queue, an odd audacity
I saw time, bygone, as t'was forthcoming
in a closed 'laptop'
I and my fanciful clouded entropy,
the flower vase embellishing the dawn
you and a warmth, adore
one step closer to the brim, ashore!

Premium Member A Dance of Life II

The flame of life, a burning ember bright,
Passed down through ages, bathed in starlight.
Each generation, a link in the chain,
A story continues, whispered by rain.

Reproduction dance, a vital ballet,
Ensures the future finds its destined way.
New cells divide, a wondrous design,
A blueprint for life, a future to define.

Two halves combine, a genetic blend,
A unique creation, a story that transcends.
Eyes that may sparkle, a laugh that may ring,
A legacy carried, on hope's gentle wing.

Diversity blooms, a vibrant array,
Of features and talents, lighting the way.
New minds to explore, new skills to ignite,
The fabric of humanity, shines ever so bright.

Though challenges loom, and darkness descends,
The cycle continues, where hope never ends.
For in each new life, a promise is shown,
A chapter unwritten, in stories unknown.

So cherish this process, this gift from the past,
A future entrusted, forever to last.
For in reproduction, humanity thrives,
A universe teeming, where life truly survives.

Premium Member A Dance of Life I

The flame of life, a fragile spark,
Across generations, leaves its mark.
A single cell, a microscopic dance,
Begins the journey, given a chance.

Within the cradle, safe and warm,
Divisions multiply, weathering the storm.
A blueprint emerges, a complex design,
Two sets of instructions, forever combined.

From tiny bud to beating heart,
A marvel arises, a work of art.
Brain takes shape, with senses keen,
Lungs prepare to breathe the unseen.

The miracle appears, a wondrous sight,
Two halves combine, bathed in gentle light.
New life emerges, a precious quest,
A legacy carried, put to the test.

Reproduction dance, a vital thread,
Weaving the future, from the living and dead.
Through countless generations, the story is spun,
Species preserved, bathed in eternal sun.

It's not just love that fuels the fire,
But the primal urge, a burning desire.
To leave a mark, on the sands of time,
A continuation, a legacy sublime.

So next time you see a child at play,
Remember the journey, that led them your way.
A chain unbroken, a circle complete,
Reproduction dance, a future so sweet.

On the Road

The sun scorches along the interstate
branding Arizona with smoldering,
rubber Nazca lines.
In the steak house, ersatz, Western artifacts,
She says she is Navajo
but she looks like Britney Spears.
She brings some bland reproduction food.
I think of Navajo blankets,
how a hand-woven history
has kept their stories new.
She tells me she is working her way through
- she did not say what.
I don’t ask,
I hope it’s someplace real.

Premium Member INSECTS ARE PESTS

We see them all as pests to be destroyed.
For they feed upon our food crops galore.
And invade all our homes by the score.
They bite and sting and this we can’t avoid
So poisonous chemicals must be employed.
Daily we spray these insects more and more
As our inventive ways come to the fore
To make their reproduction then fall void.

But we are focussing on self-interests
Thinking that we now can control nature.
We will rid our world of these wretched pests.
With clever chemicals we’ll be master.
And soon bring an end to all those insects
As we are in command of Earth's future.

A MASTERSTROKE

They say you are cuter
but through you I see myself
an artist with a masterstroke
the Wilson Ngoni of reproduction

Your googly eyes a mirror
through which I see my past
reflections of dreams I never achieved
your rabbit ears so alert
to hear all the good wishes
I pronounce silently about your future

Your skin perfectly smooth
smooth enough it heals
painful wounds from my past
They say you are cuter
but through you I see myself...

Pops Picture

Written By: D. Collins 9/21/24

Never put anything in front of Pops picture.
Or, bad luck will reach out and come and get 'ya.
Give credence to the DNA within your blood.
Show ultimate respect for those who taught you love.

It gets even better, if you look just like him.
A total reproduction of my father, Jim.
Someone who never bows down to what ain't right.
The clear underdog who always wins the fight.

Because I have his traits, along with DNA.
Makes me the baddest MF living today.
What I am saying, I can say out loud.
Because I am proof of what makes me proud.

Premium Member HE SPREADS THE GENES

Drooping petals of ermine white
mark end of winter days.
Then there follows the purple bright
of first saffron displays.

Our world of dismal grey departs
as comes the colour show
to raise the spirit of our hearts
by bringing warming glow.

Now ends the long hibernation.
Small mammals once more feed.
Birds returning from migration
are pairing up to breed.

And soon comes rising insect hum
with buzz of bumble bee.
He flies around to find a bloom
to feed on nectar free.

In return he takes the pollen
to blooms at some distance,
assisting plant reproduction,
keeping nature’s balance.

SPRING SONATA

SPRING SONATA

Now that ice has melted and the sun visits again
A transition, to warmth and that breeze of hope
Now that nature seems to have softly awakened
With a last vestige of disappearing morning mist
That youthful green is now emerging all around
There are those, now hungry after hibernation
As they slowly rise up from months of slumber
For others, the year has already begun in haste
Reproduction at full pace to meet the demand
A world to embrace, and an effort to populate
Now that winter is over, and Spring has begun

    BASIC

        Humans inherit
        basic instincts in order,
         hunger, survival
         and feelings to develop.
        next reproduction follows.

       Then sprout emotions
        yielding kindness, compassion,
        caring and sharing,
        love and inquisitiveness,
       fear, anger, malice or greed,

          Which will you control
or which to apply, being prompt
          is Humanity
guided by brain, mind and soul
     '. on ultimate perfection.

Elements

Elements

Substances that change the amounts in thin fat layers..
They are substances that change by thinning and decomposition.
Elements known in the world..
With the amounts it thins and changes in space..

New elements await layers.
It combines with gases that enable the reproduction of elements.
Elements that affect temperature values..
It melts the warming of cold values.

Water and lava merge in the central position.
The existence of the atom in the center is realized.
It flows through the channels of the soil.
It usually oxidizes in plain areas where it waits.
