_____________
watching passivity in activity
sad, sombrely sad
memories from womb rise and fall
little miracles of remembrance
holding the hands of Fate we wait
Wheels of Fortune revolves, race stagnates
we do not cry, hankerchiefs dry
timeless we watch, clock ticking
clock glancing, mindful of time
unseen cry, tissues wet lie around
loss centres, race proceeds
there is no Fate, only Self-determination
every forgetting is a miracle
uterine amnesia ~ stumbling and ascending
sombre joy replicates in silence
active we look away, passive and still

I long for a love that is sweet,
Yet, I receive a bird's soothing tweet.
I long for a world of solitude and peace.
Where my comfort is the sea waves and the wind breeze.
I look for the meaning of beauty.
And I’m still amazed at how this world seems to be.
I look for the world’s end.
But, it all led me to where I started.
I run to escape the darkness,
Only to be found by nature's brightness.
My feet wonders in nothingness,
Only to be lit by the moon’s gentleness.
I feel how the mountains listen.
To the sorrows and griefs of every man.
I feel how it replicates my pain.
And echoes back with gentle rain.
I see how the clouds get heavy.
The same, how I have a lot to carry.
And I also see the stars shining bright.
In the dark and lonely nights.
Finally, I find the reasons for life.
On how nature heals us inside.
I find the reason to hope,
And learn to cherish life’s gentle tide.

“The flight of butterflies designs in gloomy mind the collage
of ecstasy, framed by the beauty of life” – by Poet
My ebullient emotion replicates the wings of butterflies,
fluttering on the rhapsodic ripples of the blissful breeze,
and before they all float away to the fading obscurity far,
stop designing for me a flying scenic formation of fulfillment,
I take my lonesome journey through the corridor of hope,
across the wasteland of despair, greening in gorgeous imagery,
or along the gloomy garden path, shining with garnet glitter,
splashing on the blooming saplings, swathed by sunburst colors.
I then perceive my mesmerized marooned mind unfurl in a trance
the receptive convivial canvas of superlative sensuality,
painted with colors of sublime beauty, crafting collage of euphoria.

My teachers once said, "Death marks the final page,
Where knowledge ceases, and growth turns to age."
But I now see, beyond mortal sight,
Learning continues, through eternal light.
In realms unknown, where souls reside,
New lessons await, and wisdom will abide.
Meeting new hearts, and witnessing new skies,
Adapting to realms, where mystery meets the eyes.
Religious sages say, the afterlife unfolds,
Heaven or hell, where souls take their molds.
Yet, God's grand tapestry remains unseen,
Unveiling secrets, to those who have been.
Life replicates the soul's eternal design,
In heaven or hell, where love and truth entwine.
So live each day, to honour the Divine,
Learn, share, and grow, until the final line.
For on Judgement Day, our deeds will tell,
A story of love, or a tale to compel.
Live today with hope, and a heart aflame,
Embracing death, with a soul that's not tamed.

the luminous ovoid of Self replicates
the omnipresent lustre of God’s light
made in His image this is our essence
eternal and renewing itself within itself
with this recognition viewed directly
back here within the mind-body cage
as both transcendent and immanent
we share this truth with those who pair

The revolving wheel of the ceaseless time
rotates the contrived kaleidoscope of life,
the riveting patterns change persistently
in the mélange of motif within the mind.
The chameleon colors transform transiently
the visage of mind’s topographic tapestry
into ashen canvas of burnt barrenness,
or into painted exuberance of emerald valley.
The diffused dreams on the desolate drift,
cascade away along the stream of sight,
meandering on the mesmeric drapery,
weaved with the strands of ebullience.
The vision replicates the wings of butterfly,
flittering on the ripples of the rapturous air,
and before it flies away beyond the horizon,
forms for me the facsimile of fulfillment.
On my lonesome travel on the tortuous path
across the green wasteland in reviving rains,
or along the golden garden trail in autumn,
I am suffused with the splendor of colors,
As the shutter of my sanguine mind opens,
the flourishing film of receptive sensuality
captures the sublime snapshots of beauty
for the collage of life called kaleidoscope.

There is a point in time
Is when climax is reachable
Whereby feelings overwhelms you
Is where the pencil is being sharpened
And the hand starts to write
The urge to move forward replicates itself tremendously
Is when consequences have been thought
Whereby decisions have been made regardless
Is when the lightness comes in
And the way starts to unfold
The story of my life has emerged purposely
Is when the goal formulates itself decisively
Whereby contentment is the word
Is where the intelligence is uphold
And my dreams comes into being

My Shadow
By: Tom Wright
9-11-2006
Only my shadow at noontide
Replicates the man I am.
It makes no allowances
For the man of morning that I was,
Or for the man I had hoped to be.
As day wanes
My shadow grows ever longer,
Until the time that sunset
Eats its lunch and pops the sack.

Images keep flipping through
Of my blissful inamorata
Though in absolute darkness i am placed
I refuse to show any cynicism
Perplexed i am at the servitude
On with my toga of trust
I bring forth my gauntlet
To relief myself of any troubles
Put forth by other admirers
I seek a panacea
To help conquer them all
Who don't want my being with my inamorata
For i am humble inamorato
Flipping through my mind
Indeed its all but a cliché
Mu inexpressable love for this damsel
Is something unseen
A sudden urge runs in me
Unworthy i see myself of it
Having in possession of this rare gem
Hesitant i am,reluctant i feel
But proudly i confess
My love for her i wish
She replicates it i need
Her love for me in return
Unfailingly i proceed
To call her my lover
Oh!yes she is
My lover!

The deep purple passion of love intoxicates
To fill life's chalice with wondrous wonder
Nothing exists in any realm which replicates
Nor has its power to cast a heart asunder
Passion makes worlds disappear with its eyes
And can teach an empty vessel what serenity means
Its warm rich fullness can overwhelm and surprise
And can invite a poetic soul to reveal its dreams

Our heart looks to the light
My ship-wrecked road is shabby.
Our promise is not the big lovers,
My layout, my tune, my misery.
Resistance every time I walk
I imagined the giant,
Desperate, confused, how to walk
My scales, my weighing, my time is miserable.
Laughs
Replicates, more scolding tricks,
The sadness of the cradle sees the bales,
Half, I'm missing, it's all wretched.
Maya has kept the enslaved enslaved captive,
We're out of direct credit
Prophetic prophecy
My hall, my square, my place is miserable.
We've got a blackout
The figure from our floor is cut,
Our record is printed on the seal
My history, my star, his name is miserable.

Falling Autumns, bouncing Springs
Summer, some aren’t, Winter brings
A halt as Nature’s subdued
And then life’s works are renewed
Flowers come and flowers go
Nature’s beauty resonates
Life is full of change you know
Even as it replicates

Luckless vessel plucked from the surface;
sucked into uncharted fathoms.
Relentless, roiling vortex
consumes all evidence.
Sated, exhausted,
swirling eddy
dissipates.
All is
calm.

(2nd Place)
Notes for contest:
I joined Poetry Soup a few years ago and posted this as my first entry.
Reading back on it now, I am still pleased with its imagery and the message held within; how even the largest, most powerful man-made vessel becomes infinitesimal and completely helpless in the face of Nature's wrath.
I feel the poem flows with a nice rhythm and, as one kind 'Souper commented, the shape of the Nonet form almost replicates that of the subject matter - subconscious intent or happy coincidence…?
Poetry Soup has been instrumental in boosting my confidence and maintaining my output. The member-run contests provide continual motivation, whilst the kind and supportive comments from fellow 'Soupers are nothing less than inspirational. I thank you all.

Pregnancy is constipation
enjoyable and admirable
monopolized by women
never sharing by men
no bribery to get one
a cool sickness it is
no bacterial infection
In nine months of constipation
victim replicates happily
own piece of wriggling flesh
and the constipation vanishes
Constipation comes with choice
but can be imposed as well!
eating through test-tube it comes
the potential patient feels good
asking for more, more and more
But when the time comes to rid it
lamentations, curses, regrets are heard
patient weeps without tears
when done, celebrations erupt

specks affect our view
and vision of life is altered -
events happen in ticks
smallest particles
unceasingly replicates -
time is perpetual
in whatever size
all that matters make impact –
truth remains unchanged
