    Mr. Biden pledged his word
       so solemn, sincere...

He's just reneged on his pledge
       ~ so insincere, cavalier

You
Are
So blessed
Empowered
Sweet and so simple
World, with you, smiling all your life
No promises reneged as life propels you to do
No excuses as visions in life encircle everything to be right and World smiles
You are God's best creation among the created because with you, everything comes alive with joy and pride that makes the World strong and bright

Premium MemberYour Promise

I waited a long time
Many times after you said goodbye
When was your last goodbye?
When you said it out of time

I stayed a long time
Too many times after you disappeared
You left me alone in no time
Even when you said everything are all cleared

I believed in you all the time
In all things you showed me
I believed in your precious time
In many times you swayed me

I will believe you for all time
Because I love you the way you are
I will love you for all time
Because you are a promise that you are

I never asked you to promise me
To be with me all my life
But you reneged your word to me
Leaving me all my life

Now you are coming back
Making me believe you are still the same
How can I love you back
Make myself believe you are not in shame?

Many years passed and wasted
You have forgotten me
Through the years I waited
You have forsaken me

Tell me now
Are you a real promise I must keep?
I kept you from then 'til now
Are you the real one I loved deep?

Premium MemberThrough Blinders

The truth can’t be seen through blinders.
Eyes and ears covered with hatred.
The tongue’s ready-lash sidewinders,
twisting and spinning what’s sacred.

The truth, the fact, reality
masked - the masses bobble their heads.
The illusion of blasphemy
here, when the scripture’s left unread.

No need for truth, when it’s made up.
“What is truth,” plank’s in Pilate’s eye.
Pilate knows - the charges trumped-up.
Wolfish masses prefer a lie.

How often the accusation,
front page news, folks - everyone’s riled.
The leak, having no foundation,
reneged where no one looks - exiled.

But still the crowd cheers old nick.
The stage decked out in crimson fire.
A civil war waged with a Bic.
No matter the damage - it’s dire!

The law, “Love others as yourself,”
truculent in divisive ways -
‘stead hate and pride speech off-the-shelf.
Lollygagging verses… no one prays…

Spend time in the prayer closet.
It’s worth every cent! Spare time!
Hear God - work up the composite.
Don’t listen to the world. PEACE TIME!

Jinping Pong

China claims that the Taiwan Strait
Does not divorce it from its mate
But China's been busted
It can not be trusted
Since it reneged on Hong Kong's fate!

Premium MemberFor Better Or Far Worse

And so he stood as shadows ran their course
across the fading words of failing life
fingering love’s beauty, eschewing strife
savoring the “better’s, tossing the “worsts”

for life had offered him both dark and light
to guide him through the lies of sainted knaves
cast him adrift to ride its breaking waves
on seas that wash ashore the moonless night.

Bereft of all the vestiges of man
alone within the emptiness of loss
his vision- an endless bridge to cross
unguided in the darkness of Light’s plan.

Love pained his clouded heart for it had lied
reneged on endless promises it made
left him a broken man nothing to trade
amid a thunderous turmoil it had died.

So does he harbor anger’s raging surf
its surging waves the lies of love’s deceit
denying him the solace of retreat
unable to reclaim love’s bloodied turf.

Politician Ways

Politicians are the most pretentious
to emerge from the primordial mulch
of creation.
They pretend to love,
they pretend to care,
In the case of them doing any deal
remotely benefiting constituents
is on condition they profit in prestige,
wealth and a seat, a boardroom chair.

They hug an old lady its a photo opp
They kiss a baby its a god damn video shot,
Even though the homeless is festering,
lacking in compassion, bolstering they bray,
But miss the point that businesses has
reneged on paying a livable wage

The politicians are one piece of work,
weird that they represent the rich and
well to do,
and to you, dem stuff dem chest with
ashes while exiting poverty,
they knew which way the wind blew

Well, money pour to the centre augmented
by a guard of honor rough beast of men,
though shroud now, don't be surprise when
you find its the politicians.

My Case

My heart would please one soothing word from anywhere,
All whom I know no one could one pleasing word spare.
My skin could use one pleasing touch and any care,
But all that cares is the loneliness that she left.

My heart had been amused like a happy village,
And smiles had in two divided my moonstruck face,
But now day breaks and it has sent my moon away,
And I’m no doc to think to treat this cardiac case.

She left that just my loneliness should care for me,
Yet she’d not want another damsel on my knees.
To leave so that my swinging mind freely should swing,
And swing and swing until to rest it’d come to be.

Leaving me thus is not a noble renegade
In spite this truth; there was no time that you reneged.
Your actions oft, lately so harsh and soft, I make
To be your blurry close on all my heart might say.

Of one who would despite my woes remain I want
My eyes can’t search: love’s arrow’s made my vision blunt.
For all I’d see is what would for one night feel strong,
Cos by the breaking of the dawn it will be gone.

Nigeria,

Nigeria, the Soul of my Pride (Part One)
Nigeria, my country, where mournful of pledges aren’t reneged?
Indomitable she would have maintained, if crowns aren’t clowns
Gyrating on the mishaps, wearing wan gumption—unwelcome!
Ears do attend; but eyes haven’t yet seen what watery mouths do speak (of).
Roasting are to rich physiques, as paupers’ plights mount on their rotten.
Innuendoes of yesteryear ‘nattered’, nativities’ woes unforgettable.
Atrophying (now) are the little legacies her founding fathers had raised.

Nigeria my country, where true sons and daughters’ tongues sip in her bounties; sobbing,
Some are endlessly praying and raising their voice to hearings and their words to readings.

I

In words I paint myself
on the canvas of the world,
and patiently wait for the day
I'm completed.
Blasphemers will burn me,
and light will turn black...
"No monster walked the Earth," they will weep
and tremble...
No!
It will have been... I...
I will have been
reneged redemption.

Lost In Trust

Trust me he said,
I told him that I really do,
He never intended keeping the trust,
And I also knew it for sure,
Mutual distrust became the real object,
We now trusted each other,
While both waited for betrayal,
I looked for the day I saw signs of him reneging,
He watched out for same in me,
The day he reneged,
I was already prepared,
And had gone back on my stand earlier,
We both calculated losses and gains,
Won or lost,
Pocketing our gains and losses,
We went in search of more people,
Who could “trust” us with more,
Soon enough we came yet again face to face,
And got trusting each other again,
When in fact distrust was the main theme,
With new losses and gains,
We still laughed,
And did not let anybody out,
Know the real refrain,
We both had losses very many times,
And each loss caused a pain,
But we did not stop trusting each other,
Till the time one of us was vanquished and gone.
