If I half thought on you
You will half thought
Once I walked with head held high,
Convinced I knew what life meant,
I held fast to all my beliefs,
With an ego that wouldn't relent.
But then came a moment,
That changed everything inside,
A realization struck me hard,
And with it, my old self died.
I saw the world in a new light,
One that I had never known,
And suddenly all that I believed,
Felt foreign and overblown.
I felt a shift in my heart,
As if it were breaking apart,
And in that moment of pain,
I knew a new start.
For though I'd lost my bearings,
And my ego was brought low,
I saw the world in a new way,
And my heart began to grow.
I learned to listen to others,
To accept their thoughts and fears,
And in that newfound empathy,
I found a way to truly care.
So though I may have lost my way,
And my heart was torn apart,
I found a new beginning,
With a change of heart.
As Autumn relents
to the first Winter snow,
her golden leaf blankets
are peaked in their glow.
A season of color
that's nearing her end,
now passing the time
with her cold Winter friend.
The cool flowing waters
have frozen and stilled
and warm gentle breezes
have calmed with a chill.
Knowing her place
through the seasons of change
in the cycle of life
the Lord God would arrange.
Autumn grows weary
as slumber awaits
under golden leaf blankets
she rests in her fate.
Blessed is her sleep
as God tucks her away,
beckoned to wake
on a warm Summer Day.
Autumn is flattered
when friends call her Fall,
her season of thankfulness
calls to us all.
Like feathers we fall
into Gods saving grace,
humbling hearts
as we seek for His face.
With Autumns relent
to the first Winter snow
and golden leaf blankets
are peaked in their glow,
pray cold hardened hearts
find the warmth of Gods peace
as their lifetime of seasons
will all too soon cease.

Draft thee, Oh fated courage read as go
that headstrong empathy must not confound
wait out the dormancy's entail, be slow
as cold the Winter's stalling, ounce by ounce!
That silent purge so white the fields of snow
as underneath man knows the ground's extent
the seasons bustle, advocate not stow
cold thrives on nature's retrogressed relent!
Have you ever aspired?
That you crave to acquire
Have you ever admired?
That it got you inspired
It only requires
A burning desire
Like the heat of fire
To achieve your greatest desire
Don’t ever retire
Adversity will surely conspire
To bend you like iron wire
Stay taut and never tire
Till you attain your one true desire.
