His Palette Retorts

Sebastian
couldn’t live
without saving
the walls
His paint
covering over
dire messages
 scrawled

All passersby
witnessed
each canvas
restored
Reframing
dark alleys
with hope
evermore

Sebastian
a warrior
of brush
and stroke fame
Graffiti
a pockmark
his quest
to disclaim

Alone
in his wander
where shadows
hold court
Each wall of new
slander
his palette
— retorts

An Up for Each Down

Sometimes I only feel sad
  Sometimes I can just cry
  Sometimes I lose all hope
  Sometimes I am all alone
  And sometimes I smile wide

  Life certainly has its downs
  Sometimes I drown above water
  But there’s also a future
  There’s friends to be made
  There’s fun to be had

  Reframe the situation at hand
  Use it to your advantage
  Everything bad is a strength
  You have everything but hopelessness
  You need to use it

      I’ve a home with a view
          lawns, bushes trees
      sidewalks, parkways
          an avenue

I’ve got to tear myself away
          from all that
      enticing as it may be
          to gape at the clouds
framing – and reframing – the world
             about me

Premium MemberOld Man and a Baby

Whisper this in your baby's ear
science poses little fear.
Though still primitive and childlike,
it finds first tracks on which to strike.

Billions spent on science research
scantly more than a stumbling lurch.
Bright babies will topple toy towers
as Mom picks pieces up and glowers.

Twisted forces tempt to abuse
having doubts, deny and confuse -
truths used as toys, science as tools.
So the rest can be played for fools.

With all we know of life and earth,
clues about our universe's birth;
each new truth reveals another,
there's so much more to discover.

Few children dare to stare away
while others sit and play all day.
Babies do grow and take the veil;
when they learn, science shall prevail.

At a Stand Still

Full of anger
Mind feeling defeated
Living through a historical time
A Pandemic got the world at a stand still
Wishing this was a dream
My soul looking for relaxation

Blocking out the chaos of the world
Coronavirus got everyone on edge
Mediation my spirit feel free
Humming away the anxieties
Laughing depression away
Walking fear away
Running towards recovery,
Recovery of tomorrow’s

At a stand still
In time of reflection
Realizing what matters,
What doesn’t matter
Detaching from material things
Reprogramming my reality
Goodbyes to the inconsistent
Reframing from the inconsiderate

At a stand still
Familiar love la familia
Open arms to unconditional love
Manifesting my dreams into reality
Vision my plan of action
Cast away my fears
Clap away my hurts
Dancing to my joy
Breathe in fresh starts
Wash away sorrows
Tear away sadness

It's Obvious

It's Obvious!

I drew a blank on why god exists,
Because his existence is unprovable,
And because he does not occasion,
The wise, the modest or poor visibly.

It’s not as if he’s a non-variable,
Non-affective or passive in any way,
Because just the mention of him,
Makes my emotions rise and well.

It gets my back up to point to him,
For validation when you’ve got none,
Since selection was your choice,
When you accepted the god meme.

There’s no foreign knowledge beam,
That drives other cultures to your inside,
There’s only a reframing of your own life,
When your set you raise to the ground.

In prayer you take your relationships,
To god, but it’s your brain that holds,
The repeated truth of patience, surprises,
In life’s cycles that shoe your values.

In the ebb and flow known and near,
Your character evinces kins’ declarations,
Shows that interaction attributed to god,
When it inspires your touch of care.

I’m sorry if you think me indifferent,
Or apathetic, unsure or uncertain,
About if god exists, ‘cos he does not,
As I know that two plus two is four.

Reframing my mind
A sculpture in time
A masterpiece put on display
The sculptor it seems
Had grandiose dreams
Began molding his wet lumps of clay
Penchant for knowing
Ebbing and flowing
Oceans rearranging the sands
Some discipline here
Some patience there
Somehow never changing his plans
Flawed clay he had
Prone to go bad
His project was easy at first
As the mud grew colder
His hands grew bolder
The fastidious old man became terse
Adding final details
Persevered to prevail
Paused to examine his work
Glazed and fired
Time transpired
As the shadows tugged at his shirt
He never knew
His dream had come true
Through his toil and tears came success
The blueprint he was using
Though somewhat confusing
His creation lives on to impress

Away and Beyond

Lets look at life in it real
magnification
Everything that comes in
and out of it is a result of
evolution
That defines our existence
in the right projection
With every moment of it
leading us towards a
direction
Taking our body and soul to
a permanent destination
It has led to every bit of
human transformation
With every view of it brings
a good sense of perfection
Reframing us in the true
transformation
So we can See ourselves in
the right reflection
Doing things that gives us
optimum satisfaction
Making choices and
standing by every of our
decision
Every minute spent here
deserves our maximum
attention
For life never gives us our
expectation
Life has always existed
right from our creation
And it has no limitation nor
cessation
Life sometimes may be
filled with lots of frustration
Neglection,temptation and
aggravation
But it all helps in defining
ourselves in the right
definition
Bringing to our way people
that brings to our realization
That life is all about
toleration
and not in any form of
segregation

I Know I Can Be a Bad Man

Yeah I know I can be a bad man
But I just want people to understand
I do what I must, I do only what one can

I think about life, I think about my everyday strifes
I know I love you girl you the mama of my children
You already like my wife
I know I have cheated from time to time
but you the only one who I sleep with at the end of another long night

Yeah I know I can be a bad man
But I just want people to understand
I do what I must, I do only what one can

I know I like to drink yet it feels like I love that alcohol
This liqour and beer is my number one downfall
If it werent so then the crazy *****in my life now I would have never saw
I would have never ended up sitting in prison for breaking the law

Yeah I know I can be a bad man
But I just want people to understand
I do what I must, I do only what one can

It's alright now though because Im back in school
I know I struggle at times but Im reframing from being another lost fool
I know it bull-*****even though many youngsters think that *****is cool
But they don't know if they been where I been and still want to do what I do
