Here I lie in Ramona,
sick with the virus Corona.
I feel like hell
and cannot smell,
but glad I don't have pneumonia.
In five days' time, I finally felt fine:
Free from the virus Corona.
Then again it hit,
now I'm sick as Schmidt,
as I lie in bed in Ramona.

Romantic Ramona from Verona
Fell hard for a matador named Jonah
She hopped on a plane
Headed straight for Spain
Found out Jonah lived in Arizona

Dear Milt,
I said I would...
*
The eager young man was a loner
Too timid to ask out Ramona
That outrageous flirt
Hitched up her short skirt
He’s now got an enormous, er, um... AHA!.. Desire to phone her???
*
What do you reckon? Poet Laureate? Knighthood? Fame? Fortune?
Hmmm... who organises those stars in the sidewalk?

Beezus and Ramona
Are in mourning, as am I,
For she who gave them life
Has sadly picked this time to die.
Ms. Cleary published her first book
The year that I was born.
I read them as a child
And to my kids, our copies worn.
Not long ago, my grandkids
Heard some stories, which I shared,
Of characters so old I’d wondered
How, through time, they’d fared.
I am delighted to report
Ramona’s still a pest
Who drives her sister crazy;
They have passed the still-cool test.
For that, Ms. Cleary (Beverly),
I couldn’t thank you more.
You’ve earned the right to cap your pen
At age one-hundred four.

the limelight has grown stale
refreshing is the entertainment in my mind
i smile at the old memories that plays like an acoustic guitar on a lemonade saturday
i laugh like an unexpected jump in a lake on a favorite flavored kool aid sunday
i do not want the attention or the entourage of pesky spotlights
rather, i want the simplicity of a gentle country breeze and a spot in the shade
if i could have her in my arms again, then that would complete the perfect vibe
but somebody had more sense and bravery than i did, so i just wave hello to the happily married couple and their four children
here comes miss ramona
i never noticed her until now
she asks me if i would like some company
i just shrug my shoulders while staring at her perky breasts
when she smiles, i hear b side oldie in my head
MOONLIGHT AND MUSIC/STARLIGHT AND MELODY
ruby inspires my careful conversation
miss ramona inspires the may and the december in me
it's when you least expect it and who you least expect
the twilight has resurrected itself, and i thank it ever so kindly

Organic and Non-Organic Foods
By: Ramona Stephens
Organic Food is the very best to eat.
Take care of your organs and your teeth.
No Fertilizers, No Pesticides.
Just White Rice with Fresh Vegetables on the side.
Do not inject Tomatoes, Apples, Bananas or Mangoes.
Grow what you eat, eat what you grow.
Naturally grown Fruits and Vegetables is the way to go.
Synthetic Fertilizers may hurt your tummy.
If Non-Organic was good bees would use it in honey.
Take care of your body and watch what you eat.
Organic Foods is nutritious for long standings on your feet.
So once again grow what you eat and eat what you grow
Naturally grown vegetables is the way to go.

Ramona and Sigurd entwine in virgin white sheet
One with each other hearts neat upon passionate beat
My salacious saviour my gorgeous protector of synchronous heat
Acapella unperturbed in hot percussion graces melodious suite
Nubility beckons rhythmic revolutions cusp in most gentle thrust
Towards heaven they vow forever until dusk comes to dust
I love you adore your sweet perfume our romance in musk
Come with me my guardian angel in love’s boudoir we trust

not brown grass, not spindle trees
nor sloppy suns embrace you;
you sway in a summer hammock,
your shape unique,
a collection of eyes and glass;
no description; time has limped to stop,
the hours windless,
a girl at quiet under the sky

Reach with sure style a touch that stays,
Apt that fond smile that sparks fine say,
Move love worthwhile through night and day.
Opt to know chimes in space right here,
Now feel good times with precious cheer,
Ask for grand rhymes in all things dear.
Live your fond quest through dark and light,
Abide clear zest that sparkles bright,
Indulge your best as joy fills sight.

Sue Hickey reminising
In the land of the Kiwi where the sun forgets 2 shine,
Sue had been cooking up some ole purple dyed cat mince,
Home staggered a boyfriend and a Drongo glassy eyed,
And hunger called a meeting, I’m convinced,
The cat mince was a cooling on the table,
tasty but unstable, It was a bit manky, im advised,
Not the sweet aroma of jolly aunt Ramona,
with the taste of unwashed toes,
but not 2 rotten I suppose,
the eggs sucker and the Drongo weren’t so wise?
So toast was made and mince got scoffed,
And cats were deprived until,
The Drongo heaved, and brought some back to try,
He was sucking from the bucket, till he got his bloody fill,
Twice eaten cat tucker and the red of purple dye,
But the cats were vengeful still,
When the Drongo finished swill,
They pounced upon him at his open fly,
They were chewing on his stoneys,
As he said softly moany,
Aunt Rita you’re a gift I can’t deny
Don Johnson
Apologys to the Aussie Drongo bird
Bad mouthing you say he is a Drongo or a Galah,
Both birds ….

To everyone who passed her way
Ramona Sheep would always say
My desire is to fly
They would suggest other things
(None of which included wings)
That are fun to try
So Ramona Sheep no more said
Though she flew inside her head
Her dream refused to die
One blissful day she lost became
The dragon met that had no flame
All it did was sigh
Seeing a cloud of smoke it made
Ramona Sheep soon on this laid
Not really knowing why
Both could not believe their eyes!
That dragons cloud began to rise
Lifting Ramona high
Now far away her flock she saw
Counted all a hundred and four
To them waved goodbye
Upon the fields below she gazed
This patchwork quilt her amazed
With joy began to cry
From the cloud Ramona hopped
Above a mountain it had stopped
Said - Happy now am I !
Sometimes looking up she sees
An animal passing over the trees
Floating in the sky
