A Calm Blessing That Came Out of Nowhere
the limelight has grown stale
refreshing is the entertainment in my mind
i smile at the old memories that plays like an acoustic guitar on a lemonade saturday
i laugh like an unexpected jump in a lake on a favorite flavored kool aid sunday
i do not want the attention or the entourage of pesky spotlights
rather, i want the simplicity of a gentle country breeze and a spot in the shade
if i could have her in my arms again, then that would complete the perfect vibe
but somebody had more sense and bravery than i did, so i just wave hello to the happily married couple and their four children
here comes miss ramona
i never noticed her until now
she asks me if i would like some company
i just shrug my shoulders while staring at her perky breasts
when she smiles, i hear b side oldie in my head
MOONLIGHT AND MUSIC/STARLIGHT AND MELODY
ruby inspires my careful conversation
miss ramona inspires the may and the december in me
it's when you least expect it and who you least expect
the twilight has resurrected itself, and i thank it ever so kindly
