On those dreary days
when skies are grey
and all the clouds are black
hey that's me I'll be
running through the raindrops
in my torn and worn out mac
it may be gloomy yet
when the weather's wet
and the dismal day is dark
that's me you'll see
splashing through the puddles
out there in the nearest park
I love a rainy day a rainy day is fine
I gotta say altho' I love a rainy day
in November I prefer your sunshine
Sitting alone on the porch
In the evening glow
Mama’s garden blooms again
With exotic flow
Bright awakening
Pink roses are her delight
Night is threatening

Pearls descend from onyx clouds,
locks brace rainbow hue.
Gems latticed in lilac lips
bloom roses on you
with surreal gleam.
Drops of sensual philtre
design my day dream.
Raindrops on Roses
Raindrops on roses glitter
Like bright sapphire gems
On foils of tender petals
Amidst diadems
Of a royal king
To offer on his troth day
His favourite thing.
a tear on a blushing cheek
a shy crimson smile
eyes that make the heart grow weak
in their gaze beguile
lost in yesterday
I wished not for tomorrow
~ wished it all away...

in the square, light encircled
choristers of yule
who incanted charmingly
as the dew sank cool
on their rouge berets,
cardinal cloaks with green socks—
a cordant bouquet
Leaning on a lampposts pole
Cigarette in hand
I only smoke when I'm down
I'll smoke any brand
Okay, this is it!
No more cigarettes for me
Time for me to quit!
Raindrops on roses sparkle.
Though they seem like tears
On those cloudy, rainy days.
Roses have no fears.
Nature's gifts are rife.
Small raindrops fall and glisten,
Sparkling joy of life.
pink petal’d-petrichor scent
brumous blossoms fold
dark rain falls from sunless skies
still, her garden’s gold
doused roses airing
as bright beam disperses clouds
poised beauty flaring
With a lyrical refrain
dripping shiny drops
A refreshing gentle rain
and fresh rosebud pops
Silver pearls adorn
Water will always pay gain
- the beauty reborn
I no longer count raindrops
on roses you gave,
those drops remind me of life
moved on, with cold wave
sorrow at the end~
no rewind for these regrets,
no chance to amend.
The ocean, rivers and lakes.
All bring joy to me.
I live seaside, hear its call.
To be wet, wild, free.
Feeling so amazed.
To swim, fish, sail, gawk and walk,
With water I'm fazed.
Raindrops on roses last night,
what a storm it blew.
My garden got a great bath,
looking clean and new.
Roses wanting sun,
their faces are shining up.
Rose garden is done.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A sky kiss on rose beauty,
long for bees in flight
to reach sumptuous nectar,
where rains blend with fright,
yet no sun to dry,
after many days of rain,
clouds still drape the sky.
moonlight turns raindrops
into snow globes on windows
reflections of us
late night driving in the rain
drowsy eyes drop into sleep
window cracked, white noise
lights flickering through the rain
my eyes flutter closed
