Premium MemberHe Wore the Look of Remorse

Boldly colored days each Fall give hope
that a new beginning; a new season
will ease his sorrows and help him cope
with her absence, but he longs for a reason.

Life meant nothing. Often, people queried
his state of mind and wished him the best.
He always looked gaunt and rather wearied.
With his wife's whereabouts, he was obsessed.

Daily, Edward felt grief heighten inside
his heart, wondering how he could've been blind,
and why in him she felt she couldn't confide.
Never, to his beloved had he ever been unkind.

Lurid, mysterious notes only provided quandaries
that left him more confused than he was before.
He'd never suspected there had been boundaries
between them. The look of remorse he sadly wore.

Our Boyz in Blue

.

              My date last night
                wore red shoes
                        and
           matching red earrings

           The police were called
              To the block party
             straight to my date
                  they push'd
             I said to the police
            Why don't you look
                A little harder
           'cause they pushed
                      hern
          'gainst the squad car
                  frisk'n her
             All four uv them

                   i queried
       "what are y'all look'n for"

                "her clothes"
                 they reply'd

                        :}

Premium Membersunflower path has confidence

Sunflower path to the garden was happy with herself
She had all kinds of compliments from today’s dewdrop elf
You are so perky and friendly, even in the rain, he said.
I really dazzle in the sunlight, she replied, shaking her head.

Are you pleased with yourself? queried a brownie that day.
Yes, I do believe I am, I heard sunflower path quickly say.
If I do not like myself, no one else will like me at all.
This is the wisest piece of advice I had heard since the fall.

Premium MemberTime Vanishes

Time vanishes grandma said
Where does it go? Queried her grandson
Totally unsure, but it is gone quickly
Ticking away, tick, tick, tick
I tried to hold on to a minute once
But it could not be done.
So I thought I would start out smaller.
Holding on to a second.
That did not work either.
Do what you want today.
Today is all you have
Right now
This

Premium Membergrandpas new toy

grandpa was excited about his new toy
he brought us to his den, he was bursting with joy
what is it? We asked him, for none of us knew
he laughed until he was crying, but he was not blue

do you have an inkling? He queried, hoping we did.
we guessed all kinds of things, but its function was hid.
he got out a record and asked if we knew what it was
we had no idea at all – not even our smart cousin, Cuz.

he lifted a lever on the machine and put the disc in quick.
you have to make sure there is no dust, he told my brother Dick.
music started playing and grandpa began dancing with a jerk.
we grandkids started laughing; we can do this too, but with a lot less work.

flex'd

.
          my left eyebrow
            it's ear's edge
                   up

              it queried
           'long with mine
                lip's left
           their ear's edge
                   up
           'long with mine
          left eye's squinch
            it's ear's edge
                   up

           mine first ever
         to the hers query
 "would you be my girlfriend"

        mine leg'z nervous
             instinctively
                 flex'd
      mine trembling torso
                   up
                  Left
             thru those
              revolving
            glass doors

Premium MemberFeeling Sorry for Joey Lee

She is prissy, stuck up, arrogant, I imagine said Joey Lee.
Have you met her in person though? How can this prediction be?
I can tell because I have met others like her, some are on my blog.
He also threw this in. Have you seen her arrogant stuck up dog?

But have you talked to her? What is she like in person? I queried.
He stared at me as if I had eaten a smelly storm drain curried.
I don’t have to he replied. As if I am not understanding him at all.
I can tell by her look she is not normal or a nice person at all.

I could not help but feel a bit sorry for Joey Lee then.
Can you imagine how hard it would be to not have a friend?
For if you make judgements like this without meeting a she.
It means he also makes judgments like this on others named he.

That Machine

Why does a machine go to sleep?
You leave it for five or ten minutes,
depending on your favoured setting,
and, well, down it goes.

It's a machine. You want to throttle it!
One is so miffed, and so pissed off.

I had a friend who queried
why I dropped off for five or ten.
I would open my eyes;
his glared, were vexed.

I would stare.
He wanted to smother me.

Friends appear in different forms.
I love my computer; I love my friend.
Each has a favoured setting.
A setting favoured by it, by him, by me.

Alarming.
Bearable,

Light

With the precision of
a tart lemon, in the mouth,
the incision of truth resided
just between north and south with
the suns light trimmed, dimmed and
gone.
Hence, the darkness wrapped us
in the blanket of night
-pierced only by the
hope of distant starlight
-guiding us now faintly forward.
Do we have a future, you and I?
This I queried to the lord.
He answered such that we might try.

The Bon Vivants

The Bon Vivants
held an important meeting at the restaurant.
Happy faced Lauren,
her BF Laurence, and her
BFF Laurance Olivier queried:
“What is it, what is the thing
we all want?”
Leaning back, Lauren
-smoking hot and smoking
-lip sticked lips caressing her Gitane
-puffed, puffed, puffed
smoke signals into the air, and sighed.
“We want to be happy and satisfied,
and snappy, since the sadness died.
We want to move beyond
the tears we’ve cried,
and eat baked potatoes
-versus French ones fried
-maybe onion rings perhaps,
though not French per se.
But let’s not forgo the key:
lime pie.
Green, tart, and -oh -so-
aromatic; in the right hands an art
          form
over function
-and clearly in conjunction
with the mirth
of the Bon Vivants Tribe.
