Pyro

Your eyes light up
like flame to a fire
behind them your hidden truth
of real desire
not what you speak on
but what you think
it's like the missing link
to a puzzle
to a game
many have seen you
but not all the same
behind those eyes
your true pain resides
hidden so deep inside
you learned not to cry
to release it you refuse
so you burn instead
lighting up the night
following your heart and your head
revealing true sight
most have not seen
it just comes so naturally
almost like your caught in a dream
something so surreal
it makes you think
makes you wonder
and wander about
you're like a secret siren
caught in a drought
or lost at sea
not really looking for anything
just spinning and grinning
fire a blaze
looking around
with your eyes you gaze
almost like your lost
in a human maze
just awaiting the end of days!

The nights we ignited, the days we burned.
Our words were kindling to jealousy’s flame,
Ardent kisses to fervent tempers turned.
A blaze embraced erased hopes of reclaim,
When a soul incendiary loved the same.
So we fed ourselves to our needy fire,
                                   Dancing oblivious on passion’s pyre.

Pyro

You set fire to my soul
When I thought I was lost
Brightened my whole world
Warmed every square inch
Of my ice block heart
You thawed me inside out
Put a light in my eyes
The sparkle I thought I lost
Then burned the whole thing
Threw it in the flames
They destroyed me
I went up in flames
Charring my once thawed heart
Burning it to a crisp
Unsalvageable
You lit a match and
Dropped it in the gasoline
Igniting everything
Like the pyromaniac you are

The Pyro Inside

The Pyro Inside
By Kevin Robey
May 23, 2014

It all keeps on breaking
And I don't know why
My shaking hands just wanna scream
Come sweet release lets say goodbye

I'll cut and cry for days and days
Like throwing stones in a house of sand
I'll hide in my room and stitch up my wounds
A sad and futile way to satisfy demands

Fast forward three days and nothing is fixed
Now I'm broken too with nothing left to lose
So I buy something new to fill the holes in my heart
It's nothing but a ruse to find something new to abuse

You cannot run if you want to survive
And I'm sick and tired of this circle of fire
But if I can't escape my self-loathing hell
Ill just be sending my dreams to the pyre

My smiles much brighter than fear should allow
Floating so high above the fire that I felt
But if I can't breathe the air in these clouds
I'll never be free from the cards I was dealt

Pyro

I sit between the flash of your stare
and the world that I used to live in.
Hoping that I'll rise from the ashes,
and brave the kindle of something
better built to withstand these flames.

Fire Fish In Pyro Pond

I would like to thank you for your visit.
I have removed these poems for a distant future book publication.
I believe we poets, can make a difference
in this world. We live in the 21st century,
we have tools( technology), we have our past, and imagination.
We just don't have the courage, because
I guess most are afraid to fail, to loose money.
All I have to say is we can't take money with us,
when we die. I also say hasn't mankind failed enough,
and isn't mankind worth the effort, our children is worth the effort..

Thank you, and my your God Bless you

Pyro

Burning, burning, burning bright
Flames dance ‘round and cast their light

Growing, growing, growing tall
They cast dark shadows on the wall

Burning, burning, burning strong
Nothing can withstand for long

Growing, growing, growing tall
I hold the match that started it all

Burning, burning, burning bright
The fire brings the only light
