Trying to write a poem today but nothing comes to mind
Hoping whatever I write won't waste anyone's time
I have written so many things not sure what else to write
Trying not to repeat myself it wouldn't seem right
I guess I might write something that is very similar
It doesn't hurt to go ahead with it even if familiar
Sometimes the brain goes blank and your pulling your hair out
Storming for that eureka moment when with glee you can shout
Then those times ideas pop in my head and the words flow
With fever anticipation onto the screen words show
Too quick I ponder must rewrite or just let it go
And than like today my brain moves to slow
Why can't you write a masterpiece each and every day
Or at least something someone may read and think it okay
Writers block or brain freeze just nothing much to say
If anything will pop up I'll write it right away
Poetry expresses and can even make one think
Whatever it is I finally post hope it doesn't stink
Income tax season
Is no reason
For utter despair
Pulling your hair
Shedding a tear
Out of fear
You’ll be broke --
Like most folk!

IF YOU PULL A LONG FACE : Part XVII
IF you pull a long bored face
Oh What's the use no way to be gay
Ev'ry effort gets bogged in rigged rat-race
Some covert service blocks my way
Yet you pull that long out-of-shape face
Bored by the way things turn out every day
No use turning out the lights in bed to efface
Lessons learned during the day you must weigh
If you go on pulling that long elongated face
You risk also pulling your hair out I dare say
Your eyes and ears too without using pliers
End up as Moon pulling tides on Earth all day
Then if you pull a long-pulled face
Forced you say to grunt low bleat and neigh
LIFE's not for sure a pleasure cruise in space
Measure of grains aroma ensures in cup of café
So if you must pull a long out-of-shape face
Depressed by the way the skies turn gray
Look straight ahead not downcast askance
The END's believe it or not but a sly moment away

My sweet little baby.....
My sweet little baby, when you were born into my life
you made me to forget my worries and strife
I can recollect the day your mother and me met
and we prayed God to have a lovely little baby like you
Our God pleased with our prayers and given you to us
Now, I daily thank God and forever will be in his debt
Today you are such a precious child who bright our home
I see your two tiny feet that cycle in the air and
your tiny hands are pulling your hair.
Your sweet little face brings joy to us and we forget the world
When I get up in the morning then you are fastest sleep
When I say good night then you don't allow me to sleep
You want me to hold and tucked up against my chin
Your mother wants me to write a poem about you
but what can I write about you when you are the poem
You are my shining star I reach to hold you around
and hugs you with my love that I have blessed for.
That's the joy of parenthood we have for a while.

I dreamed last night all the hair was missing from the back of your head.
You were back combing but I could see.
longs strands could not hide the damage
it was too extensive
I could see shorter hairs
I could see your scalp
then I knew:
he was pulling your hair out in a rage
I could clearly see him holding you and ripping at the back of your head
a clear black vision
no mother should see
"my hair is fine" you texted back
