Trying To Write
Trying to write a poem today but nothing comes to mind
Hoping whatever I write won't waste anyone's time
I have written so many things not sure what else to write
Trying not to repeat myself it wouldn't seem right
I guess I might write something that is very similar
It doesn't hurt to go ahead with it even if familiar
Sometimes the brain goes blank and your pulling your hair out
Storming for that eureka moment when with glee you can shout
Then those times ideas pop in my head and the words flow
With fever anticipation onto the screen words show
Too quick I ponder must rewrite or just let it go
And than like today my brain moves to slow
Why can't you write a masterpiece each and every day
Or at least something someone may read and think it okay
Writers block or brain freeze just nothing much to say
If anything will pop up I'll write it right away
Poetry expresses and can even make one think
Whatever it is I finally post hope it doesn't stink
