Priding Poems | Examples

Premium Member my punctuality

I would rather be three days early than three minutes late
Priding myself on my punctuality which I use on every date
If you say let’s meet at 11:30 I will be there at a quarter to ten
I was only late once; resolving, never again.

Premium Member Check Yourself

check yourself fool
check your judgement
check yourself by judging yourself
pride yourself by judging yourself
pride yourself by judging your judgement
respect yourself is by judging yourself
respect your pride is by judging your pride

to fool yourself is to check yourself
to fool yourself is to respect yourself
respect is to honor yourself
to honor yourself is to honor your respect
judgement is a pride of honor
judgement is a pride of checking yourself
to fool yourself is to pride yourself

a fool check himself
a fool fool himself
pride yourself to fool yourself
pride yourself to honor yourself
pride is priding yourself
honor is honoring yourself
check is checking yourself

Empire of Pride

Many a pompous decide
Many an empire of pride
Aplenty of craniums be high
And beheld among the sky
What a cubit lengthen tall!
What a tremor will pride fall!
Fall and fall to rise no more.

Many a pillar is built
Beholding the priding guilt
Meekness they tell thee farewell,
In pride a fair citadel;
How fortitude will pride be?
With plenitude of safety?
Hope on safety is no more.

When old-pride is core and black
Sure that empire wall will crack
Woe becomes the bags of c'ment
That build pride falling fragment;
Rattling the earth to brittle,
Empire's pride descend little
And little to be...no more.

Navigating a Mind

It takes a self to figure
Takes a mind to navigate
To have pride less bolder
In bewilderment to never negate

Time is a forever giveaway
Promising half-truths and half chance
A nightcap from a receiving day
Have you a heart’s desire for wants?

A will to come from strength drawn
Have I the withdrawal to wander into?
A path chosen to start believing from
Have I the question if I knew?

Some days I am sad, others sadder only
Perhaps I’m more glad when I’m just sad
Touching a feel to have touch only barely
To times I have or perhaps have had

And into my mind I can only dwell
Priding myself in endless navigation
To the finding times founded I fell
I negate away that of awe to be left in bewilderment

The Blind,The Deaf,The Dumb

We make mockery their fates
Knowing that mishaps have no dates
Priding ourselves in our states
We fail to see our dirty slates

But I see their smile and ask why
Understanding their language,I try
In true innocence ,they do fly
As on their privacy,I do pry

But I would rather turn a deaf ear
Than to hear to words to fear
I marvel at their silent cheer
As I seek to draw near

I would rather go dumb
Than say words to make you numb
I watch my talk and chew gum
As I seek to hurt none

Farewell Cannons

Then, while we sing & dance,
Dancing towards new hills –
Those unknown & uncertain lofty hills,
Priding themselves in the heights of mountains!
Yes, while our hearts in extravagant beats
Of wild hopes & ambitions fair;
May we rhythm the farewell notes
Booming from sacred silent cannons –
Those fair echoes of ancestors
Thought in doom to dwell
Tho’ in eternal sweetness be!
O, kins! let us shine
Like some refined gold in brightness
Tho’s our era chime in glorified forlorn!
