The Power of Prayer

Prayer is a lot like making love
Something we do in private
And something we have to figure out
For ourselves,
Similar too in meeting a variety of needs
From solace and satisfaction to connection
And real communion in moments of grace.

But prayer is different too
Because ultimately it is not of the body
Nor really even the mind.
We bring our body and mind to prayer
As those are the tools we have to reach out
But what we receive in reply is beyond
What we can bring.

We may expect signs and words in answer
But if we actually got that
We’d end up wondering if we aren’t insane.
What we get instead isn’t something added
As much as something taken away;
A worry or fear, confusion or doubt.
Like a veil being lifted
To reveal a less obscured view
Of our true nature.

How this happens isn’t nearly as important
As simply that it does.

SORRY LOVE

Sorry is for people who have a conscience, who know that sometimes things happen that need a sorry.
Sorry is a type of feeling of regret, that make us think about our actions or inactions.
Like a moment when something is said that later we regret, we can learn and make changes at any time.
Saying sorry, is about having feelings, and caring about how someone feels.
Sometimes, it is hard for someone to say these words, words are like swords, they can cut through feelings.
Feelings of love and joy and excitement, all can lead us to a better tomorrow, just by saying sorry and making a new tomorrow.
God tells us to make anew and follow the path of love, and to love each other and to follow the commandments, thus leading us out of death of the soul.
Jesus tells us to go and sin no more, making us see that being sorry can lead us to a better tomorrow.
Sorry has an impact, making us learn of the power of feelings and words, makes it clear that we care.
Lifting prayers to God, love and prayers for a better today and tomorrow.

GUARDIAN ANGELS

Thank you guardian angels, for being a bright light through this life, like the stars in the sky you shine so bright.
Thank you always for being kind, for sending thoughts of positive energy when down, like rain, you wash away and make a new path.
Thank you for the many unseen love influences you have sent, like the energy flowing all around.
Thank you for helping to prevail, when struggling through this life on the way home to heaven, may we all see our way there.
Lifting thank you to God, to all the angels that work for the good of the world.
May we bow down in love and prayer to God to bless us with power to overcome all life’s struggles.
May this day the power of positive prayer and good intentions, be spread around us all.
Continue to guard us all the way home. 444
Let us unite the children of God, and pray that we all see the light. 333

I like poetry that is simple and direct
and yet is layered in depth where
you can descend as deep as you
want to go - poetry that says just
enough and no more and leaves
things unsaid, fertile ground
on which the imagination can grow.
I like poetry that finds
its roots in nature and ordinary things,
listens to what memory murmurs
and the rumblings that rise
from the soul. I like the incantatory
power of poetry, how it evokes
feeling and stirs a longing
in places left hollow
a lifetime ago - poetry that becomes
almost prayer not to some named
god, but to that which remains
hidden and out of reach but which
whispers to us in rustling leaves,
reflected light and along
the corridors of our dreams.
I like poetry that claims
no more than being a loving
imprint of a life left briefly
on the tidal wash of time.

Premium MemberRefined Soul

Forged in the fires of tribulation.
Struggling through Hell's retaliation.

Hope is strained beyond belief.
All I seek is solace and relief.

Betrayal is the lonely cry of the outcast.
I strained so hard for the pain not to last.

I embrace my tortured, crying soul.
Seeking to calm its deep, mournful woe.

Chains of my burdens, I drag along.
As my soul yearns for a spring song.

Now, shadows swirl as reality bends.
The nightmare of this torture ends.

Reality dissolves as twilight breaks.
Bringing forth a new dawn in its wake.

For our Father gifted us his son’s light.
To bring in his Power of Love and Life.

The burdens are gone that have shackled me.
Going through Psalm 23, I am refined and free.

Prayer

On my knees, I fall
With raised head, I humbly call

The power of the divine
To help relieve my worry-laden mind

And my aching, unforgiving, bleeding heart
That's been pelted with sordid-wounding darts

Supreme healing I'm calling
Forgiveness I'm seeking and discernment I'm installing

O merciful most high
I long to draw high

On your right side is where I want to be
My soul with thee I pray to dwell eternally

My Fight Each Day

Another day another fight
I find myself another night
The lessons learned and hardships faced
My time is now, no days to waste
I'm not alone when it comes to my journey
No need to be frightened, letting nothing deter me
But my feelings are haywire telling me to turn back
Reminding me only of the strength that I lack
So I close my eyes tight and I look in the dark
For my faith is a fire needing only a spark
I'm no longer afraid to turn my will over
To the power of God my only chance to stay sober
My night has now ended and my heart has been tested
The day has been won and my faith was not bested.

The Power of Prayer

The Power Of Prayer
I am alive because of prayer
I have been put to death several times
But someone prayed and brought me out of there
My life has been reborn ,from the arms of death .
Comes a Good man strong and reborn.

A praying man ,all though im not the best.
But with prayer behind me.
I can pass any test.

Bad most of my life
And causing my elders a lot of headaches in their lives.
Being a thug and trying to be hard.
Not knowing you really not hard unless you have the lord.

Out of death my eyes now see
All the bad things about me.
With the power of prayer I was saved.
From being a victim, dead and out of heavens way.
To becoming a man and thinking about heaven all day.

So pray and pray on because only with prayer you live on
And overcome despair.
Yes only through the power of prayer.

Premium MemberThe True Measure of Prayer's Full Potential

Prayer is indeed our privilege
that God invites us to speak
in His presence so very near
no matter our state the Lord to seek

We can't just expect God to give
whatever we would dearly love
praying is not our wanted cheque
our Father ever looks on from above

Do we really realise prayer's value?
how it can really bring a real change
it has a power all of its own
far more than any shooting range

This is not just some human power
it's the very power of God divine
releasing from His own deep resava
proving He hears us all in line

This power reveals its true measure
proving what's behind all its potential
so get down on your bended knees
find out what God says is essential!

(" Prayer is not a blank cheque and God is not at our beck and call. Yet prayer is far more powerful than we think. It is the power of God that is the true measure of prayer's full potential.")

Premium MemberPower of Prayer

At a time when a vital organ of mine began to fail,
I thought that was the beginning of the end.
The miserable mind plunged in the abyss of despair,
for modern medicines seemed not to work.

As I reached the fading edge of optimism,
receiving the destiny’s signal for departure,
I submitted to the benevolence of the Almighty,
prayed for His blessings for miraculous cure .

I found in the gloom of the dismal nights,
His light illumine the darkness of the future.
My soul sailed in the sea of faith as never before,
and my organ got the divine healing touch.

I got a changed life as the epiphany dawned
with new sunrise in the firmament of consciousness,
my senses felt the essence of His munificence,
and I realized the power of prayer.
