Remote Possibilities

Before remotes, we changed the channels
Right on the TV.
We got up from the couch to learn
What there was there to see.

When things got modern, we could sit
And use the new remote
To flip from show to show, deciding
Which would get our vote.

But now, we have remotes galore
And I can never tell
Which one to use and so I fiddle
‘Round for quite a spell.

My husband knows the magic trick
To find just what I need.
As long as he’s around
I’ll watch my program, guaranteed.

But at my son’s house, bets are off.
It really gets my goat
That to watch the U.S. Open,
Chances really are remote.

Night Life

I stumble to the wall
with a half-awake gait,
then I fumble and find
the light switch.

It's time to go
for that much-needed pee.
It happens every night
as I wish other things would, too.

Why cannot what I desire
be as inescapable?
Living alone cuts off
the possibilities of things
that once would have been probabilities.
Even inevitabilities.

Possibilities

Feed not your ego with self-encouragement
In an artificial world, if given the chance
To ineptly spout, however impotently,
And cull not vanity, but bide your ignorance.

Imagine not a yarn where perched on a throne,
Stomping your foot signifying authority,
Salivating on things you could change but won’t,
Is seedy attention-getting and foolhardy.

Clothe not in disguise your greedy ambitions,
Justified by half-wit pride and intelligence;
Ashamed, you’re not a beauty of consequence;
Shun the crowd in persecution of innocence.

Dream of possibilities placed before you,
Exploring adventurously and witnessing truth.
Choose friends keenly, filtering out cynicism;
Be yourself, reaching for the stars and succeeding.

Premium Member BASKET OF STARS

A young woman steps into the woods,
its canopy caressing her,
the air around her
vibrating with stillness.

She pauses beneath a gnarled tree~
its branches covered
with star-shaped leaves
each one flickering
with prophecy.

Above her,
the crescent moon hangs low,
its lunar breath offering her
a secret.

She holds a basket of stars
in her hands,
each one glowing
with the possibility
of becoming something
she has not yet dared to imagine.

She stands there pondering…
not the path behind her,
nor the one ahead,
but the quiet question
the forest asks
when it senses
she’s come seeking
more than direction~
she’s come seeking
the shape of her own radiance.

And in that stillness,
the star-leaves murmur,
the moon leans nearer,
and the basket brightens
as though answering her
in a language
she is only now
beginning to remember.

True writers write from their hearts,
because they have ink in their veins.
Words flow onto their paper,
as they go writing away.
Their wonderful imagination comes alive,
wanting their readers to enjoy their work.

Premium Member Tomorrow's Voltage

Tomorrow creeps,
it crawls,
sludges and stalls—
but tomorrow brings truth,
light,
and dawn.
Tomorrow is discovered,
it is unveiled,
it reveals.
In the reverent halls of worship stalls,
and the back room walls
lined with empty bottles.
Pushing forward
through the thickness of time,
the membrane between autonomy and design—
tomorrow is promise, potential,
freedom in its finest state.
No levy could contain.
But tomorrow is danger,
it is sorrow,
a perpetual loop.
Tomorrow is the silence
after the storm,
the desolate landscapes
of ruin and regolith.
Tomorrow is a tide,
holding it all inside
Tomorrow is the scratch of pain
on wrists nailed by shame.
Tomorrow is a knife,
serrated with retribution.
Restoring pride
to lonely life.
Tomorrow is the stretched second,
everlasting regard.
It is the open road
for your getaway car.
Tomorrow is absolution,
advent,

LIBERATION

I took a walk around the sphere
Just to break them spells
I spoke with mother nature
Then she gave me her words
Words of blessings
Saying; as you want it do it and so be it.

I took a flight to the sky
So I'll be so fly
I spoke with the father sun
Then he gave me his words
Words of inspiration
Saying; shine unapologetically.

Then I took a walk within
Just to speak with me
So I can pick up my spirit from within
The he in me said;
When you conquer your mind
You've opened the world of possibilities
Make sure you put into use your abilities
With your capability you'll reign in the world of possibilities.

Possibilities

 Possible potentials persist,
Assisting the beings existing,
In a world they are resisting.
Revisiting moments,
Envisioning whole events,
As the experience unfolds.
Loads of memories,
Download a history,
The future a mystery,
Living now eternally,
Changing all that could be.
The possibilities before me,
Infinite to explore for free,
Becoming the reality you want to see,
Constantly creating different ways.
Everyday a new place to play,
Possibly infinite ways to go,
Choose one to help you grow,
Know you're the creator though.

IMPORTANT NOTE

We don't know it all
But we can never be late
We don't have it all
But we can never be liabilities
Because we believe in our agility
Showcasing our abilities
Paving ways for possibilities.

We're not the most powerful
But we're not preys
We live with humility
Doesn't mean we're timid
We show love
Doesn't mean we're fearful.

We're silent
Doesn't mean we're weak
We're generous
Doesn't mean we're foolish
But we always expect anything to happen
Due to our uniqueness
You're not responsible for people's actions and more.

Premium Member The Energy Of Thought

All things are created from energy.
Man wants to control the form it will be,
say yes or no to creativity.
There are no limits to a mind set free.

A no can stop a possibility,
stop the flow of energy completely.
Man can prevent its best efficiency,
stop production with a selfish decree.

Just like steel can be a scalpel or sword,
a tree becomes paper or a wood board.
We’re wasting resources we can’t afford,
Energy is not something to be stored.

We must free up the energy of thought,
minds of the future will see what it brought.
