Call Me Home

You are the river running through
unfathomable greens
glassy yellows
down in the core of the river
flicker lightness on top
You increase me…swell me…impregnate without word or deed
push me to the fore till my sail fills with your carbon
a deep blue undertow …rip tidian
only moderate and full…like a plate of food...of vegetables …of fruit…of corn
You are the dark brown peat from which I absorb minerals
vitamins … steel ...magnesium…sulfate
the pillow of my essence’s rest in your name …hurricane
You fall on me
Wash off delusion
And I am a small green thing …a fine rooted thing
Small leaves of me stretch for your chloroformian shadows
My roots dig deep
hear your drum beat in the equatorial regions of the flaming core
I bend around the rocks …look under ever beetle’s shimmering skin

in all things you can be found
Amorous and craving …a magma surface of tension and sun
in tree tops …dark places
in the dark alleys
You are the blue jay…the cardinal but also the raven
the oak knows you too well…the west wind too and swells up in my skirts…my cottons
my downy …my linen …my lead
you stand … your hands on your hips
look out over the possibilities
hungry for returns
I echo
Light housing across ….a sound burst
a wave in a vast universe of waves ..so many
too many waves

but you will hear me
Master of my heart
lover of my flesh and bone…my fat ..my thinness…my crispness…my luxury
You will hear …what no one else will ever know
and call it home

The Wake of the Darkest Hour In Dusk of the Lightest Eve

The darkest of time flavored by lightest of eve
The hour denies by the minute receive
We travel together... You and I
Forbidden we be made eye to eye
And too near is the closest past
We have answers but we ask
It is beauty that we knew were ugly
It does not take few... It takes many
I think I think what you think
But you don't dream what I dream to dream
I love to like and like to love
And I do hate yet hate to deserve
As all shall come to pass... all will become
Because we are forever ourselves we can never run
We do not hide to be left behind
We hide to once more redefine
And we serve without an inkling to servitude
One's worth to only be determined by attitude
Means to an end is an end to its means
Where you come from doesn't mean you have been
I seek distance to be drawn near
I am afraid and I do not fear
Endless possibilities impossibly possible
A matter of credibility to be incredibly credible
Skies the limit but the skies we do not own
We cannot fly without means... We should've known
I want to learn to unlearn if only to begin once more
It's just that simple... There is no reason for us to be here for
Alike all living things... We are unlike and we believe
The wake of the darkest hour in dusk of the lightest eve

Shadow People

Shadow People

Did you ever see a face in a snowy covered tree
Did you ever see a face in a place that should not be
Have you ever turned abruptly to see no one there at all
Have you ever felt a presence, though no one you can recall

Do you sometimes see a smile somewhere in your peripheral vision
Do you often smell an odor, though familiar, from where you can not envision
Are there times when you feel a gentle breeze, a light touch when you awake
Are there noises that startle, grab your attention, makes your heart quake

S Solemn are these entities
H Hiding is their home
A Amazing possibilities
D Deception acutely honed
O Our level of misconception
W Where two realities collide

P Perhaps unsure of the perception
E Evolving from a different divide
O Observing from an alternate dimension
P Presence felt but seldom ever seen
L Lost in an world of incomprehension
E Ever wanting to be, but never to intervene

These are visions, faces you can and cannot see everywhere
These are shadows, all you must do is allow and be aware
Shadow people is what I call them, unsure of what they are
Shadow people show themselves, their presence, time's memoirs

You may run for what seems alike forever but be abandoned.
You can walk a trillion miles and never show up at your objective.
Despite how enthusiastically you attempt, you may never be restive.
They might be unconscious that you are giving them all the required.

No matter how loudly you yell, nobody will pay attention to you.
While you are being cared for, you may clear out to people as well.
If you don't act, you'll never expect what possibilities you subdue.
It will lead you to harm path if you don't aim it and hang it, it fell.

Rise out of bed because every day is a fresh day.
Examine your life from the perspective of what's in it for you.
You can avoid getting pulled into the worst by rejecting the new.
If your glow is ready to meet new people, life will not be ugly.

Premium Member Unknown

So many things we know were proven true;
the Earth is round, not flat, as thought before.
We share what other planets all go through;
rotate around a star forevermore.

Our spaceships travel space to take and send
good photographs and specs so we can learn
if there is life elsewhere to comprehend;
provide some answers to this long concern.

The law of probabilities predicts
that suns with planets just like ours exist.
Too many similarities transfix;
the possibilities can't be dismissed.

Suspicious sightings shared- but not explained-
by pilots, troops on land, or out at sea.
Were answers found- and possibly restrained-
not ready to unveil this mystery?

This deep unknown creates an endless plight
to share the facts behind the sightings here-
to say we're not alone in Cosmic flight;
make this unknown a truth- a shared frontier.

Premium Member I want joy for three

My wish is for joy
Not for myself, I have more than enough
But for three others who seem to dwell on the worst possibilities
Their agenda is full of gloom and doom

I want them to feel joy at least one more time
One has stated she wants it, she does not know how to get it.
I have made suggestions but they will not work

Another said he has not felt joy since he was a boy
He is seventy-four-years old.
Surely, we can get some joy to him, wishing well.

The third person who needs joy does not realize she needs it
She thinks her life is fine
She is always fine
I want her to be more than fine.

I want joy for three.
That would be enough for me.

Premium Member June 2021

Proms and graduations are over
Eighteen-year-olds are planning their lives
Forty years ago they would be getting married
But this is not then, and they are in no rush

June prettiness of the olden days has turned into muggy August
It is ninety-degrees here, and we are still in school.
Hey wait! Don’t we get out in May?
Always before. Not this year. Thanks heaps, pandemic.

Two months until eighteen-year-olds head to college
Most are not heading to the service like fifty years ago
They are heading to the beaches, and to summer jobs
Slinging food, cleaning houses, customer service

June is the month of new beginnings.
A month of possibilities,
A month to consider choices.
Enjoy it. July will be here soon!

Premium Member Hope Is A Lady

Hope's a lady, a wish, and a prayer,
offering endless possibilities.
She's dressed in hand-me-downs, frail and threadbare,
spun from fears and responsibilities.

She visits the hearts of both old and young,
often appearing as a last resort.
And She has been dubbed a slip of the tongue,
an Angel, and a fantasy escort.

She's stubborn and not known to disappear,
although sometimes She may dwindle away.
And yet, if summoned, She will reappear
when life's calamities come into play.

A granter of wishes, She sets the stage
with anticipation, magic, and trust.
And in the book of life, She turns each page:
She's hung around since we were formed from dust.

Premium Member Far More Than Friends

I thought and I thought
I thought and I thunk
so very much thinking
My thoughts made me drunk

My friends are great friends
Friends that are friendly and true
They are far more than friends
These lovely friends one and two

They're considerately considerate
They consider what they do
By considering the possibilities
It's consideration that makes them true

What confuses is confusing
Nothing seem to confuse them all
When I'm feeling confused
It's those friends who I call

Depend on the dependable
Depending on if it's true
If the friends you depend on
Can also depend on you

Being kind brings out kindness
My kindly friends always do
The very best kind of friends
make you happy not blue

True givers are a gift
It's a gift to spend time with them
The gift that keeps on giving
Over and over again.

So thinking turns to thanking
Thanks for all they have done
thoughts and a heartfelt thank youse
For being kind and such great fun

Dedicated to our friends Al and Jay who's kindness and friendship mean the world to us. I lack the words to adequately express our appreciation. So I gift this bit of silly as a token of our affection. You are truly special people and have been God sent into our lives. Al and Jay you are loved.

Premium Member DESTINY CONTROL

Sitting on a Greyhound awaiting to depart
Memphis being the start
My Greyhound bus ticket has no specific destination with only “Anywhere Bound”
The feeling is where to find the possibilities in where to settle
Journey into a new life
No fiddle faddle
Reclining in my seat, and just imagine my life through the off ramp in discovering my destiny
Miles upon miles will give me plenty time thinking while
Observing the various trucks, cars and other bus coaches as I view through the bus picture windows
Destinations in so many directions, North, South, East and West
Remembering an old slogan, “GO WEST YOUNG MAN”
There’s much to chose, but don’t dwell on confused
As the Greyhound bus wheels roll while kicking up dust and acceleration
My journey is the turning point in what is to come
Goals centered in my head in how to follow through
Destiny in control
Perhaps a town or major city being my objective
I am very subjective
Sense of commitment
Courage to move on
Through the days and nights
What settlement is in sight
Greyhound bus, show me the way
My journey in the horizon
People and places
Any place for me to be
Just relax and wait and see
Mysteries of my journey to anticipate
A place I can call home and appreciate
Greyhound bus stops here and there
A journey I experience that I can only share
Memphis was my start
I might be San Antonio where I might disembark
Texas wind and a Horse ride
Adventure that is what the state will provide
Fulfillment I see in my face
Achievement to follow
San Antonio is the place
Just for me
A place to see
Dwell and acquaint
San Antonio is my take away
New life and friendship
I have arrived
Destiny control
That Greyhound bus helped me to be bold
