Premium Member THE BEAUTY WE POSSESS

How much easier is it so see the beauty in the world
If we happened to be blessed…
first with the ability to see
the beauty we possess.

Premium Member Catch 22

Catch-22

If I say I love you
I’m too possessive.
If I fail to say I love you
I’m not romantic enough.
If I work twelve-hour days
I don’t spend enough time with you.
If I only work four-hour days
I don’t show enough ambition.
If I discipline the children
I’m too harsh.
If I don’t discipline the children
I’m too lax.
If I suggest we go on a date
I’m to frivolous.
If I suggest we just stay at home
I’m too cheap.
If I want to be intimate
I’m oversexed.
If I’m not in the mood
I’m not a good lover.
If I want to be spur of the moment
I’m too impulsive.

If I want to plan
I’m too overly cautious.

I can’t win for losing.
I’m in a catch-22.

Premium Member Utterly

"I love words, because they're mine. Utterly, completely mine. I can share them with others. I can keep them to myself. I can use them over and over again. No matter what I do, they'll always be mine. No one can take them away from me." - Parker S. Huntington

Penniless and powerless
Naught is utterly mine,
'Cept one significant thing
That shall never be thine

Take thee my happiness
Take thee all my time,
Still, I hold the words
And I possess the rhyme

For poetry, thou cannot claim
Be I alive or be I dead,
Naught is utterly mine
'Cept thine words thee read.

To Progress and Possess Success

To Possess Progress and Success Poetry Soup

Do what you can,
Execute your plan,
For an eternal span,
Try wisely dear man.

Trying alone is great,
To enter fame's gate,
Blame not that fate,
Which Angels hate.

Success is possible,
If efforts you double,
May come trouble,
Feel not so feeble.

Sweats attract success,
Magic, they possess,
They bring progress,
If efforts are vigorous.

Go on the right track,
Exercise your knack,
Nuts you can crack,
God is there to back.

Only when you try,
Failures will die,
if your eyes cry,
Tears, who will dry.

Become a master,
Wisely administer,
Guts, you muster,
To halt disaster.

Choice is yours,
Vote for cheers,
Prefer not fears
That fetch tears.

In your control
Is your soul,
Play a wise role
That will console.

Go ahead my dear,
Victory is very near,
Hope is also here,
Fine atmosphere!

To Possess Happiness

Happiness is in our control
We can get it, if we want
We must play a positive role
We mustn't think we can't

We mustn't lose our hope
We must for a way look out
Our mind must finely cope
Without having any doubt

If we are always optimistic
To find out a proper solution
And try by being enthusiastic
We can complete our mission

If we steadfastly go forward
To achieve our golden goal
Success will be delivered
To console kindly our soul!

Premium Member To Possess Your Heart

Careful what you wish for
Wise advice wasted on fools.

I recognize the danger signs
Yet rush in most willingly.

If only I’d be satisfied
In this blissful state of longing.

What’s sweet far exceeds
The aftertaste of bittersweet.

So why tempt fate with games
And long to possess your heart.

It’s best not to seek fulfilment
I don’t know why, I can’t say why.

I wish I could just hover in eternity
Dangle in suspended animation.

Hovering midway between here and there
And not take for granted this state of bliss.

Be freed of longing, somehow and forever.

Premium Member The Power To Possess

"Earth has no power of its own,
Its power proceeds from My throne.
No one, and nothing, share in-
The wild flowers of Sharon.

Nimrods have no power of their own,
Their power proceeds from My throne.
No one, and nothing, share in-
The budding rod of Aaron.

You are not secure in unbelief,
For barren souls get no relief.
Whatever flowers will surely spoil,
No lasting benefit for your toil.

I own the places of blessing,
Walking by faith means possessing.
Conflicts arise along the way,
But faith overcomes the dismay.

Get off that whitewashed fence,
Leaving your place of residence,
Journey through the way I will show,
Fields where faith will bloom and grow.

You do not determine the outcome.
Just know that I am never outdone!
Greater things than these you'll see,
When faith secures the victory!

Believers have no power of their own,
Their power proceeds from My throne.
No one, and nothing, stop them-
From possessing My kingdom."

What Magic Doth New Love Possess

What magic doth new love possess
That tempts the moon at night,
To warmly glow, and fully so,
With beams of velvet light?

That gives the heart the will to smile,
And the sparrow, feathered wings--
What magic doth new love possess,
To achieve such lovely things?
