A papoose with a twin is papooses,
Double goose and get geese, but not gooses.
Pluralizing perplexes me,
Aggravates me, and vexes me,
And I suspect that it checks my creative juices.

Healing Grief

The sudden feeling of getting torn inside, it's revealing,
fears of the past scaling the walls of time.
It's starting to get warm inside his breathing,
is getting soft, and tired of playing hide and seek with time.

Those perplexing griefs of the past,
Realizing, to smile when he's lonely, is in-vain.
It turned out that those good-byes were the last,
yet will get conceived in the feeling of love, again.

Searching for a reason to smile, getting more away from relief,
Talking to those droplets of rain is healing the grief.

Premium MemberPerplexing Truths

The enigma of space elicits awe,
and my soul seeks clarity of being.
For I see God's splendor naked and raw
in the relevance of what I'm seeing.

Eternity's lit with ancient starlight;
a cosmic glow still visible today.
And gazing at these twinkling lights at night
I marvel at the stars, so far away.

Man treads upon the earth with timid feet;
fearing death and what lies beyond the grave.
And religion often tastes bitter-sweet
when you morph into a religious slave.

Sentient beings question their existence;
asking if insignificant souls count.
Yet perplexing truths confront resistance;
in identifying sins to surmount.

Distant light piercing the darkness consoles
me when the universe boggles my mind.
For like feeling at home comforts lost souls;
God's light of creation lets faith roam blind.

Perplexing Answers

I've done some soul searching
Yet I can't seem to find
The answers perplexing
To these questions of mine

Like where does the innocence
From our childhood go
Can a mind remain youthful
As a body grows old

How can a tear
Be either happy or sad
Is the meaning of life
Found as a mom or a dad

Should you give of your heart
Since it can be broke
Can faith remain strong
As you lose all your hope

Should love remain blind
Or should its sharing eyes see
Does time erase heartache
Or just memories

These answers elude me
But one thing I know
With questions lie answers
With yes remains no

Perplexing Prose

PERPLEXING PROSE

i like to paint my poems
in puzzling picture prose
savagely riding through
blazing surrealistic storms
twisted unrealistic
expressions of ludicrous
luminosity

loving oceans of worldly
worlds and twirls
falling across the pages
like vivid green leaves
absurdly stepping away
from life

boundless energy absorbs
the heart transcending
pointless prattle
raising me up like
a lantern through a
trillion stars
madness forgotten
as imagery shimmers
and shines

here there are no dark
horse victims of meaningless
loveless abuse confused
in my room eating all
expression and faculties

just the perplexing
pure genius
of prose

Strange Coldness Perplexing

the catholic nurse
all sensitive
caring noticing
everything
what can she think
of my hot/cold torment

always near blowing it
living in the fast lane
so friendly kind
the girls
dewy eyed
wanda abandoned me
bolton is in my hands

and yet my coldness
hurts
the more emotional
they stay
trying to find a reason
for my ice-like suspicion
fish eyes
coldly indifferent eyes
suspect everything that moves

socialising just to be loud
compensate for cold
lack of essential trust
warmth
i love them
despite myself
my desire to love
is unconscious and gigantesque

i never know
when i'm going to miss someone
strange coldness perplexing
i've got to work to get devotion
but once i get it
i really get people on my side
there are my people
who can survive
my shark-like coldness
and there are those
who want something
more personal
i can be very devoted to those
who can stay the course

my soul is aching
for an impartial love of people
i'm at war with myself.

("Strange Coldness Perplexing" was forged using notes scrawled onto seven sides of an ancient now coverless notebook sometime in the late 1980s, or early '90s).

Perplexing Passing Thought

Perplexing Passing Thought

Another appointment on calendar can start to see
Has it been her's or is assigned to maybe me?
Designed for a particular purpose to meet
And now that it is made date cannot repeat.

Once missed date has forever gone by
Can't be brought back as hard as you try
Even if it were to ware a dumb disguise
And have to wait until all of your hair dries.

Old passed by so will start a new one
And by the time that it is finally done
The original one which you have lost
Like time won't return no matter the cost.

He's never romantic_wooing to him a chore
He's got other things more important to do
But sex he always wants and still wants more
When others get his attention, he bids wife adieu
Always doing for others, not letting any him outdo

I know he just doesn't understand females
Thinks she is like the male always ready for sex
If she isn't ready for advances to him betrayal
He feels a sense of serving church_ community projects
Doesn't understand wife's needs, this just too complex

A Perplexing Pen

I'm a cerebral fire
That burns from within
I try to do right
But I succumb to the sin

I reflect the flames
From the sun up above
And I harbor the passion
Of the moonbeams of love

I try to control
The words that I say
But I spit them out
And they fall where they may

My heart is a pump
And my mind is a filter
My tongue is a flower
That will not wilter

So I write with the pen
That I have in my grasp
And hope that the words
Solve my literary task
