Premium MemberGlobulous Maroon

Curdling wave of denatured purity
Milk and acid, perverted mated pair
Waltzing, obese ballroom spinners
Twirling, breeders spun by children’s fingers
A fleet, in concentric circles turning.
Churning, in hidden tunnels, empty wombs
Clotted to lumps, a viscous drool
From spout of oesophagus poured
Over that inverted delicacy.

An internal storm blows like fury, shocks
Of bucking, lurching on every wave
Oobleck’s looming clouds
Hailing wet pellets on the deck.
My hands painted,
A globulous maroon
Leaking life-force, un-fatal evacuation
Drawn-out, a living execution
A foetal creature, whining out the morning
Premature to see the day
Too early to bleed.

You are my sworn foe,
Possessing me as what I am
Trapped by you on whom I depend
Breasts, hips, thighs, a soft-skinned face
A body, veneer for lunar torment.
Prophetic to the hour
Of when the next storm will come.
Stranded at sea, men watch from the shore.
Apathetic, indifferent,
Too far away to see
Us, the fleet of spinners
Lost in bleeding seas.

The Lake

The Lake.....

lies… still,
a glistening sheet of tin foil,
shimmering in a cold-eyed wind.

At night
the lake still... lies… still;
a coffin with lid screwed light-tight.

On occasion, the moon trickles light,
lightly across the lake's pitch-black back;
the knack of making the coffin lid crack!

Today, I challenge myself
to touch-dive the lake’s chilling depths,
halfway down I halt, a dark vault,
weakens my errant confidence.
Despite puppet legs and handcuffed arms
I spin frantically to reach a detached surface,
bursting out like some skittish, Scottish salmon
only to be held between the two supremos;
illuminated sky and darksome water.

Tonight, the lake grips my bedroom window
and I watch as watery, inky tentacles
claw and talon at an unsettled shoreline.

Later, I wait for sleep to possess me,
sensing surrounding hills clinging closely
while rain falls like pellets of iron.

So I drift…listening to the lake
whispering dangerous, whispering treacherous secrets
until nature’s seesaw; night tilts into daylight.

A Reflection on a Christmas Past

A sad time for children in foreign parts
that have no Target stores to be lost and found in.

Sad for inflatable Santa's gunned down by B.B pellets.
For all the children, pets and reindeer that do not make
the last fuzzy bit of the six p.m. news.

I’m working on my happiness, not forcing anything,
being considerate
to people and their wrong opinions -
it’s what the baby Jesus would want.

In the stores, I avoid Christmas music by singing
badly and loudly.

Premium MemberMarching For Freedom

Medals on frames stood upright and straight,
Like guns marching on bloody road to Death March
At eighteen, he bore the pellets of war’s cause
Fingers wounded by splinters from a grenade

Spawned by raw courage for freedom’s glory
He counted black hours guarding his troops;
Piloting aircraft and landing on muddy swamp
Worse was the order to kick his dead friend, Paul.

Black nights fed thinner ribs with brisk attacks
Riddling air with roulette of mortar sounds,
Yet country’s honor soared higher than gray winds
A testament for a man of lofty ideals.

Tales of grit, battle scars wrapped in dignity
A body resting on heroes’ graveyard, our flag rising;
Until the end, code of gallantry filled life’s moments
Of one general, dear Dad, your spirit walks with me.

Crushed

Petals falling
from unseeded bud
opened by a midnight sun
sparkling it to love
then vanishing
to return on its course
in candle lights
stolen star to star
unmindful
of ice pellets
tearing at the calyx
teardrops
frozen in the throat
lacerating heart
throbbing to harden
like winter in silence.
February weeps
meet a new face
lights start dancing
in the eyes
glances caressing
two hearts
whispering to each other
sweetness
crushed grape
turns to wine
tinting two goblets
crimson!
Eternal seed
buds new life
flame of God's
everlasting light
running through veins
of two hearts
saying to each other: Yes
I love you

mountains tumble
across the horizon
twisting the last splinters
of warmth
through heavy hanging
gray soup
listless lifeless
endless sigh
dogs roll over
mown grass
clinking ice
gentle laughter
fluttering chimes
cool breeze
sweet pungent earth
enlivens lungs
ocean cracks
spills sheets
steams stainless barbeque
sizzles fire pit
douses tiki torches
lettuce, tomatoes, chips
condiments
march back inside
under the eaves
gulping rare air
until it freezes
behind the window
white pellets pelt
big red umbrella
guarding the feast
burgers melting cheese
buns toasting
in formation
lining the grate
storm sweeps over
collective gasp
tables towel off
wet dogs play
music marries
dinner mirth
dancing flames
lick black velvet
Friday swells
into sleep-in Saturday
while weaver weaves
another day

wild wind whipping
trees bend and thrash
leaves rudely torn off
gardens trashed

blackening skies
presage the storm
rain drops attack
and hail pellets form

shattering glass
in windows and doors
denting parked cars
as a deluge pours.

dark cloud funnel
from the northwest,
veers as it wanders
at its whim’s behest

sending shingles aloft
people to basements
flooded streets paved
with pieces of casements

bedframes and couches,
bedsheets and books
leaving nothing but rubble
of old neighborhoods

hiding in terror we
hear all the ruckus
and pray the capricious
storm will bend by us.

Premium MemberFanciful Visions

     A thought flew by
       I tried to snatch it
     But from the air
I just could not grab it

     Next floats an image
along the banks of my brain
Yet when I try to recall it
       it slips down the drain

Then ‘fore my eyes a rainstorm
furious its pellets, slit-slanted its form --
O, to trap her lightning in a bottle
yet though I lunge, she's going full throttle…

Seems I just haven’t much luck
with fanciful visions I would pluck

My lithe and limber fingers gnarl up…
Stop saying ‘Timber’ ~ they’re stuck

                             An ethereal lady visiting us!
                         She arrives magnificently dressed
In white silky laces, and exquisite silver jewellery,
Glistening and glittering, in a light feathery gown.

She breezes in dancing and prancing around the trees,
But gradually her angelic silhouette gets blurred
By a luminous veil - her dainty slender figure
                                Becoming translucent to our eyes...

With her celestial magic wand, she turns the tall
                          Evergreens gorgeously adorned with
                Shimmering snow-pellets, each snowflake reflecting
Elation and ecstasy concealed and crystallized!

symphony

Blade to my wrist like a violin
Pain can produce beautiful melodies
Composing a constant struggle
Orchestrating my own orchestra
The cold sharp bow against my strings
Vital arteries are mysterious things

Death of a heart, grieving having a feeling
They're nothing but solvable problems
I'll take Cupid's arrow through my heart
Or a bullet through my mind
Killed by love or loneliness
Bring me to a garden of unholiness
I wont shoot myself in the foot again
I'll make sure the pellets pierce my brain

Paint the walls red
Every ounce that I've bled
I don't care how I do it
I can't push through it

rain Autumn's last rain
frozen in temperatures
 hard cold droplets of

pellets of snow now
apart from the heavens clouds
 flakes abundant drop

droplets of Frozen
moisture falling on the ground
turning translucent

to pearl white spec beads
frozen in temperatures
winters first snowfall

Liquid pellets
Pellets slam
Slam gently
Gently into
Into the
The leafy
Leafy mire
Mire seeking
Seeking sanctuary
Sanctuary on
On vandalized
Vandalized park
Park benches
Benches retreating
Retreating into
Into gentle
Gentle liquid
Liquid silence

snow covers my coveted garden,
trees sigh and bare their leaves,
unruffled evergreens stand tall,
decked with shimmering ice-pellets
crystallized on every branches,
magnificent jewellery adorned!

longingly wait for majestic spring when
aquamarine horizon-rays with crimson hue,
unfold a sublime picture of dawn,
my senses are drowned in lilac dreams,
and lost in a tender reverie tangerine!

fragrant graceful flowers will wake me up,
swirling all vibrant colours of rainbow in palette,
playful spring-birds merrily cooing,
saffron imagination dawns on my dreamy eyes.
sun unleashes warmth, tulip-bulbs peek,
bluebells scintillate, creatures waking from slumber…

            Unfold a harmonious cosmos!
