We All Are On Parole

For so-called fair conduct, good grade
A killer earns unfair parole!

The killed when can't come back from dead,
Is it fair justice— giving dole?

Let heaven hail blessed brotherhood,
But mortal laws made to look good?

Thanks to heaven’s holistic goal
Are we not all here on parole?

A well-known tennis player's sister was killed in 2003. The killer was out on parole due his good behaviour. It was hard for her to reconcile to this liberal justice of mankind, when one who is killed can't come back. The poem here ponders on another truth: We die; get reborn, are we on parole?

Parole Board

she mailed me her
exact words were:

Later today
i'm going before
the beauty salon
to regulate
my fingernails
and some eye
lashes.

surely they will
pardon her
for good
behavior
and sheer
beauty

First Day On Parole

Sometimes a person
can go too far,
Mickey said,
two stools over
downing another beer,
his first day on parole.
Someone like that
cops can find dead,
he said, after
newspapers start
littering the lawn.

A bullet in the temple
that no one hears
because of a silencer,
he pointed out,
is sometimes
the culprit.

Such a good person,
the neighbors say
about the deceased,
and that may be true,
Mickey admitted,
but sometimes a person,
even a nice person,
can go too far,

say the wrong thing
to the wrong person
at the wrong time
and take a bullet
in the temple,
Mickey said,
because it's hard
to put a cobra
under a bed.

Premium MemberI'M Out On Parole

Way down deep in the depth of my soul
Lives a naughty wee genie who's in total control
I'm absolved of all blame
Stumble forth with no shame
Damn genie's responsible, I'm now out on parole

Monster On Parole

If seeing is believing
than I believe what I see is
is hell...
Perverse I dwell on negative thoughts
and my eye balls swell..
I need some purell
to sanitize my soul!!!
now a deep,
dark hole..
Can someone please console
this patrolling monster on parole,
a troll,
that grows
with each day that I close!!!

My job has become my foe!!

Sirhan Sirhan Denied Parole

Sirhan Sirhan Denied Parole

By Elton Camp

This is a name that many won’t recall
But for murder, none would know at all
Robert Kennedy was a leading candidate
When Sirhan Sirhan gave in to his hate

With a crowd of supporters stood about
He there shot the man with an evil shout
To assassinate him, Sirhan did choose
Because he stood in support of the Jews

The name may sound like one of Islam,
But from a “Christian” the shots had come
Sirhan now claims he doesn’t recall a thing
But the parole board for this didn’t spring

Up For Parole

It's been five years since you were put away, but it only seems like yesterday
that I found those pictures you had hidden away.

I don't know how you've spent the time and I really don't care,
but I know from your victims point of view, nothing could compare.

You exploited my little girls body for the world to see,
what a sick S.O.B you must be.

You were given twenty years in the state pen, and now you're up for parole;
instead you should be put in a hole, cause if you get out you'll just do it again.
