Goodbye To Nameless Love'
So there we were
laying together
hands held
with the light of a midnight moon above
as
I remember that it was my last name that you almost held
with love....
Still
I lay restless with tired eyes
in memory of a love misspelled
waking from troubled dreams
without this fiendish being once compelled
remaining was a smile once cherished
like
tears falling from a crying moon
happiness parished....
Painfully.... I weep
and I weep
because I still miss you even as I sleep
but sadly
Fate then spoke
That kind of love wasnt meant for my broken heart to keep!
Her name was Katrina, her vegeance was wide,
hundreds of people had no where to hide.
Her hurricane winds battered the coast,
distroying what people loved the most.
Security was taken, in the blink of an eye,
leaving people helpless, many would die.
Inadequate levees broke, all was not well,
New Orleans became a living hell.
Racing water rose ever so quick,
it took the healthy and the sick.
On rooftops, where people layed,
rescue was the word our nation prayed.
Some people found it hare to defend,
slow acting officials, on whom we depend.
So many people with no where to go.
Many without possessions to show.
Hearts were opened, everyone cared,
clothes, money, and time were shared.
No one will ever forget Katrina's rath,
the day she ran her distructive path.
I wrote this 4yrs ago today in memory of
all the people who parished.
amidst my indelible impressions
comes an era of remembrence
that shall go down in history
I recall the flight of an airship
traveling abroad from Europe
to the United States
with ninety seven aboard
passangers crews and news media
were all awaiting for its safe arrival
as newsreel coverage was filming
the attempt docking of this flight it
turned into a blazing yellow and red fireball
within one minute
thirthy five lives had
parished
