Someday I'll have
said all I have to say
but until then...
Hand me the microphone
let me speak my piece
without interruption without hesitation
Sit back and zip it
take a break
it's my turn

Another chapter in my life
over much too soon
when there's so much more to live
it's just not opportune
but is Anonymous the author
or would it be myself possibly
writing this tale so true
could it be an autobiography
and yet I won't be put on hold
my one and only guarantee
tho' late won't be overdue
when it's check out time for me
for on turning a page today
I came to realise and to clarify
I'm living a story in a book on loan
from the Great Library in the Sky

Tho’ albeit late,
Night already turned to morn’,
Tears, as the sun rise;
One thing I wish to return,
To say “I love you, as well”.

The time is now for solving problems we have let accrue,
The time is now for something old but new,
The time is now for an end to making us stew,
The time is now for something out of the blue,
The time is now for solving a problem or two,
The time is now for showing what we can do,
The time is now for getting out the glue.
The time to problem solve is now,
The time to problem solve is now,
While we still know how,
While we still have time to avoid a fatal blow.,
While we still have have time to mars to go,
If there are too many problems to go around,
If there are are not enough problem solvers' above ground.

Not another sun
not another sea
cannot poetry be larger
than its words
not another blossom
not another scent
best when fresh
but the fonder written
beyond time
like aged lovers love
more toward the end
with youth back round
that literary bend
our roses remain red
our violets remain blue
poetry is never old
sadly some overdue

Our mistakes are paid
in generations of denial
Old footsteps defaulting,
new judgments on file
The future in debt
to invoices past
tomorrow debentured
—arrears mounting fast

I’ve waited far too long to give
And get back in return
The kind of hug for which long-distance
Causes you to yearn.
But yesterday, at last, I did
Experience that treat
And got to spend some precious time
To make my joy complete.
When friendship’s deep and close and strong,
The phone keeps the connection,
Though there is nothing like a hug
To share some true affection.

All around the world.
You look for me.
Do not leave,
A stone unturned.
In brothels and bars,
From near and far.
Around a corner or an alley,
Between, Gingers’ valley.
You seek but
Cannot find.
Because some of you,
Are totally blind.
I live in you.
All you need,
Is to believe,
It is true.
Your yearning fall,
On deaf ears.
During you’re failing years.
You have to find me,
First of all.
You’re long overdue.
To found love.

Retirement coming
Crescent looming on the back
Wrapped old trees in cloth.

Faint-hearted lass, are you where
Your dreams have placed you?
Not as yet? Not even close
In that otherwise camatose
Wakefulness, Day goads?
Then to this fine sleeper's creed
Are not living true:
"Fear not, nightly wise, as far
What unto The Morning Star. *
New day, new life bodes.

You were overdue.
Never had one quite like you.
You're my dream come true.

I come to you at the lowest point in my life,
Because I know that my new one must start here.
I’m the only one that has caused myself pain and strife.
I must begin change with the one I see in the mirror.
As I look at myself and see that I’m going nowhere,
I come here in the hopes of turning myself around.
I want to live my dreams and stop being so scared.
I want to stay focused and keep my feet on the ground.
I have the desire to completely change my ways.
I will begin a new life: starting here, starting now.
My addiction has seen the last of its days,
And it’s in this place that I will slowly learn how.
I know it’s a process that’s different for everyone,
But, in the end, I promise to set myself free.
I will enjoy my life and always try to have fun,
And become the person that I was always meant to be.
With God’s help, and the help of so many more,
My addiction will no longer have a hold on me.
Nobody knows what my future has in store,
But it all starts here… in my heart and mind… now I see.

Trying to find
sweeter emotions
healing words
loving thoughts
warm devotions
but
caught up in
a twisted world
of darkness
they rush away
with wintry winds
they laugh
they mock
my heart rescinds.
Their return
eventual
their return
inevitable
assured
so I yearn
for their impressions
to reflect in the
lake of my being
mirrors for
introspection
deliverance
their freeing.
Until then I will
contemplate
sit in silent wonder
strike a pose
of stillness
of solitude
and wander the
corners of my
mind
preparing
for their overdue
kind.
