Petals Of An Orchid Mystic

Graceful curve of the flower enriched with mystery
melting away any bubbling misery
walking towards the beauty.

(I'm looking to pull this special flower today.)

Wait shall I praise the wonderous bloom
with fragrant colors infused within me soon
something to admire on a daily
choosing between multiple types that look equally lovely.

(I just want to love you.)

The vanilla scent which never fades
you rose from a bed of vibrant shades
to hold and caress -
in your walk stems artistic introduction
keep me within your symmetrical seduction

And in your radiance glimmers across the horizon and seas
its in your nature to please while you tease -
but i cant lie, your approach continues with ease
to compare your style with nature only makes sense.
How lucky can one be to build a connection that's so intense!

I pluck the fascinating petals of an orchid.

oh, please ...
do not pay minutes
to the bandit called Perfection -
a more enigmatic siren does not now exist
still, even in her most beguiling accomplishment
she feigns not a breath of your
uncommon grace

oh, verily ...
she is immaculate, pure
but no human soul that breathes
(or any that rest in earth, ages hence)
did e'er settle gaze on her illusory countenance
or chance to catch a hint of her
blossom on the breeze

oh, pray ...
be content in all you are
your semblance catches breaths
and the uncommon aspect of your heart -
the flaws and frailties that are uniquely thine
bloom subtle and splendid in the
rare orchid others see

oh, hearken ...
do you discern the folly?
precious moments wasted in endless pursuit of
a phantom, fair
while you possess all that is real and tangible
you are the colorful, unique, diverse and
elegant ENVY of ...
perfection.

Taking care of an orchid

Taking care of it is what I must do
Of that vulnerable part inside of me,
That needs love and support too.

Because growing up, it got bruised a bit,
And now it’s challenging to live life,
When every bump feels like a new hit.

This part in me can be compared to fragile things,
Like a bird falling out of its nest,
And is forced to live life with broken wings.

Or an ant, separated from its swarm,
Not able to carry any weight,
And vulnerable to what could do it harm.

So good care and protection are much needed,
Like how you would take care of an orchid,
That you just have seeded.

It will flourish and grow,
With enough water, light, and soil,
And I will too,
I just sprout a little bit slow.

Premium Member Song of The Bucket Orchid No 11: ABBA

Flower blooms heaven in seventh-year warps,
yet, Coryanthes, the Bucket Orchid,
is an odd flower. The lip's limited
into a water-filled bucket; bugs, oops,
fall in, but can't fly out, it’s not for show.
Evolution shaped, for thousands of years,
the male orchid bees as equal partners.
The orchid makes a scented chemical
that's used by male bees to court female bees.
To get the perfume, male bees drop into
the flower’s bucket and go through snags to
escape, freeing pollen stuck on bodies.
Males now have perfume to attract females,
and pollen to pollinate -- love now sells.

Premium Member Song of The White Egret Orchid No 5: ABBA

Flowers have that novel effect on schism,
where the uniqueness of its design forms
compare that White Egret Orchid performs
like its namesake, chicken or the egg, ism
being afloat plume or the blooming grews.
Soggy-bottom boys and girls 'tis they want
of this bit of a ground-hugger-like haunt.
Sophistication hails for untamed shrews
attracts from up or a transferred potter,
with a metal device tool like a pick,
the gifted angular, pruning, technique,
lauds the fringed orchid, White Egret Flower.
Monkey Face Orchid, to Yulan Pink Birds,
venture advances, the future ... occurs.

Premium Member Orchid New Year - Anacreontic couplets

Orchid blooms in soothing light,
New year's hope shining so bright.

Elegant petals unfold,
As hopes and dreams take strong hold.

Their fragrance, gentle perfume,
Bringing joy as the year blooms.

In this new year start we find,
Beauty and growth intertwined.

A year of promise and cheer,
Orchids swish, "Happy New Year!"

Like an orchid, you are wild
A superstar and master
Always my beautiful child
A blessed gift from God

Premium Member Took My Orchid For a Walk

I took my orchid for a walk
Delicate, but she did not squawk
We walked around the town and my block.
I only stumbled once on a tiny granite rock.

Can we go home now? My orchid asked me.
She had spied a leopard in a nearby tree.
I had no idea he was there watching me.
She told me later after I’d reached safety.

I wanted to go see the creature for myself.
She asked that I park her first on yonder shelf.
Leopard was gone, which mean no selfie to take.
Going back there someone said was a big mistake.

But leopards do not bother me, for I like them.
They sometimes grab ahold of my hem.
And walk around with me, scaring others.
You cannot be serious! Say the PTA mothers

Premium Member Where Is Old Lady With Orchid Hair

In a department store mirror I glimpsed an old lady’s hair.
It was a weird ugly orchid color.
She thinks she is young!
And she looks ridiculous!

I meandered around clothes rack trying to find her again.
I wanted one more glimpse of that ugly color.
As I peeked directly into a mirror I realized...

It was my own hair, a gorgeous burgundy at my house.
But apparently a dull ugly weird orchid color in a department store.

I left immediately, relishing my color in my rearview mirror, outside.
Still beautiful burgundy out here, I reassured myself.
Deciding to never return to that store again.
