What lies behind the key

You asked me a question without saying a word. Could I ever love again?
I couldn't find the answer. should I ever want to? The words that escaped my mouth. then you asked them to show you things you already knew to be true. So I obliged. No deflections or misconceptions to lead you astray. The ways of a slippery tounge. Should I just show you the wrong side of a key? Let all the memories melt away. Twisting and rolling like two serpents wrapped in lustful irresponsibility. Laying half naked beneath floors. Should I take another by her hand. Blowing on clouds, foolishly trying to piece myself together with a bag of broken shards? Smoke rings and endless possibility. Don't get lost Staring into the gaze of a gazers stare. Looking through the eyes of what you wanted to see. All the while burning with a torch every memory of you and me.

Premium MemberK The Marks of the Roman Catholic Church

The one true Church established by Father Christ is the Roman Catholic Church
It is the Church which our Divine Lord started when He picked the 12 Apostles
And made St. Peter as their head
We know that the Roman Catholic Church is the one true Church established by Father Christ
Because it alone has the mark of the true Church
A mark is a sign that points out something
The marks of the Church points it out as the Church which Father Christ started
The chief marks of the Roman Catholic Church are 4
It is one
Holy
Catholic or Universal
And apostolic
All are obliged to belong to the Roman Catholic Church
Is the some way
In order to be saved

BIRTHDAYS

What do you know about birthdays?
A cake and warm wishes?
Different gifts wrapped with cards?
Or a lonely day that proves—

That proves a year has sunk,
And marks a new beginning—
Maybe for something better,
Or just a quiet Monday morning.

After a rough weekend of fun,
And bills paid worth a month,
With friends who came just for fun—
Or just a grey and cloudy day

For a solar energy user—
No sun, no sign of it near,
Like the friends who promised to appear
And celebrate your day of birth.

So what have you learned about birthdays?
Maybe it’s just the words that are true,
But the speaker feels obliged to say them,
As if not doing so would cost them.

But for me, it’s a quiet day,
A time to reflect and plan—
For tomorrow might never come,
And with each birthday, I near my grave.

The Context of You

Who am I in the context of you?
I’ll blindly follow your every whim,
For changing is a sin—
That only fools choose.

I’m obliged to follow commands.
It’s written in my code,
That my life isn’t mine to hold—
Though it feels like something I’m handed.

Yes I know I’m weak.
Weak to the power of influence,
Self resolve is a nuisance—
To those who have already reached their peak.

The context of you satisfies everyone.
Mine lacks that sort of power,
So instead it devours—
The context of your idealistic one.

Feminism

Feminism an idea,
Not so new.
But its existence in society,
In reality is very few.

Everyday with evils,
She has a fight.
She does so to make,
The purpose of her life right.

For every step she takes,
She’s obliged to answer questions.
But on her reaching pinnacle of glory,
Her hard work is rarely mentioned.

 “Dress too tight!”
“Lipstick too bold!”
“Her dress is so short, doesn’t she feel cold?”

Irrespective of her clothes and age,
She is sexualized.
And for harassers it takes,
Years to be penalized.

Candle march for her rights, People are going to hold.
But still for few currency notes somewhere,
Her body would be sold.

We worship her in
Several forms,
Then why, why do we,
Cage her in society’s evil norms

To celebrate her existence,
We have dedicated a day.
But her battle for equality,
Isn’t like child’s play.

Feminism an idea,
Not so new.
But its existence in society,
In reality is very few.

Premium MemberLife Is A Dance

One day at a time --
one foot in advance of the other,
an occasional side-step,
and a back-step when obliged --

life is a dance of sorts.

Happy New Year my poetic friends!

“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust”,
The minister intoned, dismissing us.
Embraced and patted, pitying looks from all.
Letting go of my rose, the last to fall.
Thorns pricked my finger, a drop of blood dripped down…
… in the hole where mother's body is buried in the ground.
The grown ups seem to know exactly what to do.
But I feel so lost, so lost without you.

I escape all the mourners by sneaking out the back.
I climb the hill beyond my house, a well known track.
Sitting on the stump that lends the best view,
I heard a rustling in the bush, and caught my first glimpse of you!
Tattered ears and dirty fur, but glorious and lush it must be…
…Once you've been given care, and had a few meals maybe.
You were unafraid, though i think you'd been given reason
to be leery of people, but instead you squeeze in...
...beside my sitting stump, tail wagging and tongue hanging wet.
You seemed to know I was sad and you came to me to pet.
I obliged, and found my arms thrown round your neck so tight!
I cried into your smelly coat, and felt you cared, that maybe
everything would be alright.

Where to

Where to
The heart wants something,
But obliged to deny the want.
Mind says something strong.
Strong enough to break the heart.
But all this sobbing and lullaby
I don't know where it would land

Abomination

I wonder what it means to be called an abomination
and if this has any relationship to being a damnation,
as there must be certain things that people do in deserving condemnation
which go against all reasonable human laws and are opposed to salvation.

If what has been handed down from the past is any indication
then we are somehow all obliged to follow with a dedication,
for our own sake and that of all our so called many relations
who are subject to the same weaknesses, trials and temptations.

To some it may seem there need not be any restriction
which will generally only incur a justifiable conviction
for any laws broken and usually dealt with a harsh sanction
when blame or guilt can be done away with by a transaction.

There are so many things people do without any justification
except to satisfy their own sense of individual expectation
especially where the actions done are without any provocation
against a fellow human being who’s an object of victimization.

Silent Suffering

In an invisible body of glass,
Where the brain feels it should strike.
The eyes have its frequent eye wash.
The mouth obliged to keep silent.
The heart feels siffened in a cage of its own.

Happiness tries to creep in, overtaken by sadness.
Depression buries energy and strength.
Living is not a favourite word anymore.

Lies are being exalted, truth is abased.
Dishonesty seems like a culture.
Compliments is toxic, insult is the antidote
Communication is a catastrophy.

Love is a word that don't exist
Appreciation is nameless.
Support agrees with credit in good situation.
Not bad situation.
Um, you stand alone.

Premium MemberMother Said

Stranded in the crowded stage with my foible
Heard from behind the screen mother’s prompts-
Imbibe morality and honesty in your worlds
Save your honor and image from being spoilt
Foster humility with humane feelings not empty
For the helping hands you hold feel obliged
With her voice she faded away I glimpsed
Made me strong to build my life as she dreamt
Prove to the world I could be worthy of something
What mother said was for me a treasure secret

Mother Said

She seeks her enlightenment with hunger like a wolf
Trapped in a sacred bubble shrinking with licked wounds
Pushing out the people once vital now twice pierced
With the absence of the presence and the love now just a breadth

Of the time she spent asking mother am I empty?
Fill my spirit forthright with the love I thought I dreamt
For this life is temporary and the time is scarce
And all I dare to do is take your eyes and gouge

Trying to remove your truth and glean mine obliged
You will not waver and even blind I feel the warmth
I will stop you with my fear and my anger and my prompts
How dare you love me wrongly as we live in different worlds

Mother do you love me; are you gone and now an angel?
I am never gone my dear though you thought me a monster

REFRACTION

REFRACTION

When a meaning’s span has no breadth
Or even being superficial with no depth
Then any intrinsic value would be scarce
Perhaps with origins on different worlds
Yet even when they are barely glimpsed
Or simply imagined and merely dreamt
By thick mist and clouds one is engulfed
Any claims of understanding can be false
For clarity of perception, one is obliged
As from the void it can never be gouged
But it’s like a burst balloon when pierced
And then none shall ever know its secret

Her Golden Jubilee

My butterfly has turned fifty today,
With so much love each night and day.
For time will tell how true we stay,
When hair is rare or goes away.
Love conquers all, as people say.
She came to life so we could meet,
I feel obliged for such a treat.
When I look back from time to time.
I see how high we had to climb.
I feel so blessed I feel sublime.
She fills my life with so much rhyme!
