We need more turkey over here
Together with noggins of beer
A lady bare
Would stir the air
With nymphs who are pure and sincere!

Trifling juvenile players harping silly tunes
Guns and bling-bling, fake love and stuff like that
I'm no candy man, never been, but I know this
You will need to cut back on the crap
Or we will forever hear your lives going drip-drip
All over a collection of nick-knacks, I'll be damned
A finger snaps and the so-called snitch screams
In between sobs he hopes this in just a bad dream
Fake soldier takes a puff from the cancer stick
And draws a heart of smoke in the air
This, he says, waving pistol for emphasis
Is what happens when you go telling on a gangster
And the lost lieutenants nod their noggins
Some gang-banger somewhere is reloading
At the station a sergeant fancies himself a swiffer
Appointed by his conscience to make the streets cleaner
You kids are swift but the arm of the law is swifter
So play your lame game and watch him work his cleaver
Too many people think violence is a love song
But the moment you think you got it you're wrong
Go figure. This is not about pointing fingers
But a sense of ominous foreboding lingers

Far away in the land of fairies and goblins
Everything was ducky, everyone had big noggins
To hold all their brain stuff
Some noggins weren't big enough
And the gooey brain stuff leaked out their proboscis

LET'S RAISE A GLASS
There's theories about how our life began
From sea as some have said
Some say we've all descended from apes
Look at the shape of our head
Some noggins have ape-like structures
More obvious in some than others
Guess we're probably related after all
Ancestors, sisters and brothers
Sometimes prompted to swing from a tree
Perhaps that's a pretty good sign
Constantly scratching our armpits as well
While hanging from yonder vine
Not trying to demean the human race
But d'ya think we've advanced at all
Still fighting wars, still killing and maiming
Basically the same crap overall
Well we don't really have an alternative
So let's all try to live in peace
And raise a glass to a much better future
When hostilities finally cease

Laugh and the world laughs with you
Laugh alone and you look like a goof
A good rule to follow, just try to blend in
It works coz I'm living proof
Get down and boogie with the plain old folks
You'll find we're all similar inside
Each wants the very same things out of life
To hold up our noggins with pride
So proud to have lived a productive life
Treated everyone with due respect
Gave back to each community we lived in
We sure don't have any regrets
We can look back on life and honestly say
There's nothing we'd like to change
Life's been a blast, from beginning to end
Never strived for fortune or fame
Content with my life as I can possibly be
No negatives, no hang-ups, no regrets
It's been a blast for all seventy-seven years
But no fear, I sure ain't done yet

My earth, my mother!
You wrapped your self
In the vesture of selfless eyes
I dub you it divine,
In your comity letter
To the green mountains
And scars in the mug of the ocean
I heard your voice
Far from my mother’s womb
In the splendid beauty of your hearth
The grasses grow
To uphold it
They disguised you
From your creator’s face
At their first plump in Eden
My earth, my mother!
They tempted you like a rhino
Your bald pate,
…Mélange of green hazels
Our groceries,
You spewed on us
A zephyr of honor;
You marched, a colossal
Bearing both bodies in arms
The good, the bad, the ugly;
My earth, my mother!
Your red card
Dethroned the Old Nick
He lopped your efforts
And called it a mad man’s snack
On your beauty he bestowed
An utter disdain,
My earth, my mother
At the heavens’ tears
You heaves out you green talents;
A shade upon our noggins
I am clear in your mind,
You silent voice
Shall make man melt away
As they prepared me
To live in a painful pleasure

Do you see my golden windows,
so shiny and so clean?
I wiped them down with vinegar,
so sunlight I could glean.
Now every corner of my house
is filled with golden light.
I'll store it up and I won't need
a single lamp tonight.
I pray the birds and butterflies
don't think it a freeway here.
They will knock their little noggins
and fall on their little rears.
Maybe if you're passing by,
you'll see the friendly glow
and want to stop to see me.
Golden windows sing "Hello".
Unlike the inviting spider
who would use you for her meat,
I'll set out cakes and cookies
and scones and thing to eat.
We'll have a lovely gossip
in this golden house of mine.
I'll send you home with a doggie bag,
filled up with gold sunshine.
