An epic saga in words,deeds and song
Of a man who killed lions,& wore his hair  long;
Samson,a Nazarite when this tale began
The Spirit of the Lord,fell upon him at Dan;
With just a jawbone,a spectacular killing he made
Freeing Judah and ruling for two decades;
But desire, was this Judge's downfall
A lover's  wiles causing him to fall;
He revealed his secret,without due care
Delilah so quickly razored off his hair;
The Philstines bound him with bronzen rope
To God,Samson called out in hope,
And making his final heartfelt plea,
The temple fell down ,for all to see.

A Dirge To a Friend In Captivity

A DIRGE TO A GREAT MAN IN CAPTIVITY

Like the morning sun you appeared in front of us with your glory
Like the satellite you outshone the stars while they talk of your story
Your shoulder was a mountain which gave birth to springs to flow
Even the grasses looked up to you like a fertilizer to grow
Difficult as it sounds you were a noise we listened to as sound

Your dark skin glitter like the diamond
On your head lies the dreaded hair of a Nazarite
So tall like the iroko you stood amongst other trees
The squeeze on your neck so thick like the Tigers skin
In your sight fear runs while brevity is your kin

How empty does thy name now sound
Your journey to your fall a reality we do not understand
The hands you put fish hook on used you as their bait
Your faith was decided by a mere soul
O... Thou great Father, your end a journey never foretold
Difficult as it sounds your memory will live on
While your Litany will be told as tales by your friends.

Bobby, the Rastaman

Bobby, the rastaman
Never wait for the I to come,
He waited for his Black Starliners
Nothing more
Bobby, the rastaman
Sang his reggae songs
To veil his mind
From the misery of life,
And all day would read his Bible
And watch the sea
For Marcus Garvey prophecy,
But he never wait for me.

And I wanted to see him one more time
To hold his hand
And march in the hills with him
Bringing rich Maroon lore
Like a bankra to his door.
I wanted to tell my nephew
I am not afraid of his dreadlocks
And that I am proud of him
Wearing the true identity
Of the Nazarite
The Melchizedekkan Black man
But he was waiting for the Blackstarliner
Bobby, the rastaman
Did not wait for me.

He heard a voice from above
Words of Jesus ,filled with love,
His eyes were then opened wide-
Upon his life he heard the call,
The day Saul was to become Paul
