They sat in the darkness, laughter and joy,
A family together, a plan to destroy,
Watching them, silent, from afar,
My heart beating black, no hint of scar.
Their merriment, a happy facade,
For soon they'll feel the touch of my hand,
The guitar will be silent, the children will scream,
As I take them apart, in each of my screams.
Their love, their bond, it's futile you see,
For I've come for a purpose, to set them free,
To join the darkness, the blackness inside,
A family forever, where I'll reside.
The fairy and unicorn will fall to the ground,
Their screams of terror, a beautiful sound,
And as the night comes to a close,
The blood will run, the end of their woes.
So enjoy your laughter, your lifes' sweet pace,
For I'm coming for you, with death's cold embrace,
And know that in the end, you'll see my face,
The face of Michael Myers, your life erased.

I left out riding my bike down
first street over looking the
wildly calm river artist's lined
bicentennial entrance way where
Thomas Edison Rockefeller
and Ford feasted on clams
my mind wandered about
the timing of the dem lights to
brighten the garden lofts above
the streets soft jazz from
Billie holiday rang out down
old Hendry street my heart strings
mingled with the Sunday drivers
passing by after mass fondly
trying to pick me up leaving
the shops it was noon it was
damp the sun peeked in behind
the gulf today a few children
skipped by carrying balloons
while the fishermen tossed nets
near the shore sand collected
beneath my toes as two boats
docked this was home my life
an yet the Caribbean whispered
to me waves slammed against
the stone walls I felt a few sprinkles
I quickly dashed into the book store
on the corner while the aroma of fresh
French bread gather all of my senses
luring me to a sit down with brunch
tiny raisin bagels diced mangos
inside a vintage wine glass
one thousand sparrows flew
backwards within the breeze
as I rest on the steps of St Francis

The tides began to roll in,
around four a.m, all was silent.
as the stingrays gathered,
constantly, circulating the giant
snails, all the while the docks
shuttered and bounced behind,
the pier while morning shellers,
held on to straw hats, while grabbing
the daily news, from vendor stands,
bicycles lined estero entrance way,
the gallantly, glowing red sun, begin
to rise, the gulf of grandeur, comes clearly
into view, over looking the Caribbean Sea,
colors begin exploding, igniting painted
walk ways, swinging gates, through
brilliant chimes, creating tropical
melodies, where butterflies dances,
as reptiles wink, the pink flamingos,
dip their feathers into cool teal waters,
while sinking beaks into soft sands.

There was once an old cowpoke named Myers
So bow-legged he looked like a pliers
In order to straddle
Himself in the saddle
He needed block and tackle suppliers

Louise Myers
1896-1917
They shot the Archduke,
And my eyes closed in disbelief;
They sank the Lusitania,
And my heart palpitated.
My friend, this world reels and tumbles and faints,
Lost in endless crises and disasters;
Aghast at the senseless violence and mayhem.
The War To End War commenced,
As I terminated this futile existence,
With a loud curse and a silent prayer;
This leaping lunge into the death ditch!
Once, I secretly applied lipstick,
Unbeknownst to my firm-minded father,
And joyously kissed myself in the mirror.
Oh Narcissus,
Be my lover now!
For the world reels and stumbles and disintegrates,
And I have made this last leaping lunge,
This hysterical thoughtless leaping lunge,
Down, down into the deep death ditch!

BUCKS COUNTY SUNSET AT STOVER-MYERS DAM
You see beyond the line of darkened trees
into red layered clouds of golden hue,
as setting of the sun makes light to please
observers of the art it's coming to;
a stillness comes upon a silent heart,
and words, as distant as the powder blue
beyond the tapestry, are still a part
of evening sky that night is coming to;
the jack-snipe dips in tune with how it feels
to know this time is almost yesterday
as darkness comes along, and then it steals
the words your heart could never find to say.
And as the world waits for one more sunrise
another majesty will light the skies.
