Is It Love

I wonder...
What it means when someone say "I love you"
I wonder...
Why it seems so quick and artificial
I wonder...
If it means "I love you" or "I like you"
But most of all, I wonder...
If it's mutually beneficial

Is she loving him more than he is loving she?
Is he all locked away, and she's out running free?
Is it love if there's a bruise all black and purple-y?

I understand...
The want of someone's words so understanding
I understand...
The need of someone's words so comfort bringing
I understand...
The sound of someone's words so reassuring

But is it worth...
Your heart's constant hurting?

Dictionary Entry Society

I dislike research with critical passion but succumbed to the web and expected
an intricate intermingled labyrinth to define society by its antonyms but short
and bitter was the answer to knowledge quest when one word one only in bold
letters HATE as if for an acronym Heartless Aggression Terror Enemy con-texted

On a positive note I had been thinking of love kindness compassion other mores
ethical virtuous traits like sharing and caring fellowship communal engagement
allegiance with no strings attached to foster common good polis and partnership
time story place of blissfully blessed cooperation’s mutually beneficial arrangement

Words and meanings change over the course of succession of periods and juncture
thus the modern dictionary may as well define society as a balloon with a puncture

Breathing Life Into Legalese

I, henceforth, known as the respirer, do
solemnly swear hereafter, to take you in,
in sufficient quantities to ensure
continuation of the flesh's animation.

I additionally, do accede my heretofore,
essential need of your estimable service,
and express my desire to continue our
mutually beneficial, ok, parasitic, relationship

Being, as you are, substantive to well-being,
I wish to publicly, and, without reservation,
acknowledge, my sincere admiration for your
valuable and well known qualities

By any and all conveyances available to stated
respirer, procurement of your services is
to be distributed to every cell of said being
equitably and on an as needed basis until
such time as service is no longer necessitated

I, the aforementioned respirer, do in earnest,
testify to my intent and necessity for
a continual contractual relationship, with you
In short, you breathe life into mine

Dream Date With Destiny

“HAVE YOU DONE ENOUGH GOOD IN YOUR LIFETIME
DO YOU THINK YOU DESERVE TO GET IN?”
this question ponders in my mind
with each new day that begins
“Can’t answer YOU master, did not keep score
quite frankly I do not know”
“YOU WANT TO ENTER, YOU’VE KNOCKED AT THE DOOR
AN ANSWER UPON ME MUST BESTOW”
“If my guess is correct, my answer will be
dependant on THY definition
of how much is enough, what’s good to THEE
an outcome that’s mutually beneficial”
“LET’S GO BY WHAT YOU THINK IS FAIR ENOUGH
BY YOUR OWN ACCOUNT, SHOULD YOU GO?”
“Hesitation says plenty, though times were rough
the satisfactory answer is NO”
