Some people move away to avoid the heartache
Hello again
I'm sorry I haven't been writing as much
I've been ripping out a myriad of my musings
like petals from their flowers
crumpling them up & discarding them in a bin
overflowing with lies, malicia
& stories I wish were truly mine
I'm sorry it took an eternity for me to reply
I've been trying to convince my shadow
to be my friend
so I will not remain lonely here at my new school
Every day I trip over my self-esteem
& shatter my hope
Every other day I hide in a coffee shop
Just so someone I haven't disappointed yet can call out my name
I'm just going to be honest
It isn't going too well for me here
Don't abandon me
In a trail of crumbs along the path
We leave the turbulence of society.
In the drag gripping unto our breath.
Slipping on wintry surfaces wet and icy.
In search of the better way to live
desire to move away from this captivity.
But magnetic pressure of family sieve
Make decisions embrace the complexity.
But hope is in a new sense of optimism.
Your dreams and plans are inseparable.
Travels with you to another dimension.
With Joy and spirit free being available.
We have impressions of this world.
To be largely informed and enhance.
Based on feelings hidden in our soul.
The emotions are guided by finance.
And little is known about the future.
Where, and how long we will be around.
Content to live with this cold weather.
Putting extra layers of fleecy clothes worn.
Walk slowly in the trail of anonymity.
Life can smell worse than it tastes.
Aging centuries looking for immunity,
Have sensual pleasures and epicures.
In search of the better way to live
Hopes and dreams of making a living.
Appears appealing enough to leave.
And move on far away from the ruin.
Change is not within my range
Of comfort zones and so,
When someone moves away, it’s hard
For me to let her go.
My dear dear friend is getting set
To move some hours away
And though the time is right for her,
I wish that she could stay.
Before the virus, we would meet
Once monthly, give or take,
With phone calls keeping up with
Every joy and every ache.
We talk more now and that won’t change
When she has made her move
So she will still be in my life,
Which distance won’t disprove.
We’ll visit, too; the drive’s not bad
But still, it will seem strange.
That’s how things go, but what I know is
I’m no fan of change.
10 months until we move away,
I'm counting down every day.
Visiting, Packing, Planning every move,
I want it now to come round soon.
I know for now it's just a plan,
But I'm going to think when I can,
Of fun and laughter, the beautiful skies,
And then I know it'll be just fine.
I am living a nightmare, blackened, an ugly
Life where not for a second can I look back
All that matters now is my future, and the past is erased
What I have done cannot be taken back, and what I will do
Has yet to be known
But I am afraid
What I loved, taken from me, countlessly.
What I enjoyed, slain at my feet
Who I saw to be my influences, my peers, walk away into the darkness
Isolating me.
Who can i connect to?
The ones I will soon see before me stare back at my personality with closed eyes.
you say your moving away,
why can`t you stay?
we need you now more and more each and everyday.
but i guess she won the game,
so i leave you with the blame.
your walking out like you did before.
Is she worth leaving your family once more.
I know your making a mistake but
i guess thats a chance you have to take.
we were there in the good times and we were there in the bad,
doesn`t that mean anything dad?
you do what you have to do,
but never forget that we are the ones that truly love you.
