I have seen a lot in this life,
The only thing I haven't seen is that which doesn't exist,
I have seen a lot in this life,
That which my mouth cannot explain.
Tell us what you saw Mr. Stephen,
What is it you saw that Troubles you,
Did you see the rainbow or seven colours of madness,
Tell us Mr. Ekemezie what exactly you saw?
I saw people I saw inhumanity,
I saw heartlessness in-love with wickedness,
I saw bitterness wedding greediness,
Callousness came to the wedding wearing injustice.
I saw evil ruling the universe,
Anger, dishonesty and falsehood are there with her,
I saw a sick earth where everything goes,
A world full of oppression and strife,
No humanity at all which keeps me speechlessly mouthless.

Shh.. be quiet,
Let there be peace-
Rapid, racing thoughts
that just won't cease.
It's constant chaos in my mind-
It's peace I seek,
but that's not what I find.
Screaming within-
Misery & despair coincide-
Definitely one Hell
Of a roller-coaster ride.
Shh... be quiet,
Let silence come to be-
Tape the mouthless voices ...
indefinitely!

I can hear the mouthless wind,
loudly howling outside my window.
Its wingless unseeable form whipping through the leafless trees.
Ridding the branches wildly,
blowing falling flakes onto every available space,
and covering them in whites,
giving them admirable shapes.
Oh what a magical sight to gaze upon indeed.
And although I happily enjoyed watching the snow soundlessly gliding down,
kissing the ground softly and forming beautiful landscapes,
the harshness wind is toothlessly bitting through my bones with its frigid coldness.
So I think it’s time to turn up the fireplace for some heat to my chilled bones,
and maybe a cup of delicious hot cocoa to warm my soul.
Because
baby it is cold outside…

Eroding names on long-faced headstones,
a small graveyard marooned on a patch of past;
long rooted and confined while beside it
2022 blares unseeing past the forgotten lot.
An old-fangled America right there
forgotten crypts
tucked between gas station and strip mall,
a small deposit of once horse-drawn bones
amid a modern thoroughfare.
A haze of traffic emissions half-hides the secreted,
the tucked away,
yet, there are whispers on mossy mounds,
mouthless echoes of forked-over farmers,
matrons of dispersed parishes,
tanners wrapped in musty mule skins.
An olden daze leans toward us,
tilts into the present, slides sideways into
a ‘Wendy's’ car-park.
Voices sweat into the skin of a biker filling his tank;
beneath his dew rag they wetly whisper.
He shudders in the warm sunlight,
thinks about a lime phosphate soda
long defunct.
A cloudy memory follows a teenager
toward a newly opened store,
but the new won’t thrive long.
Nothing around here survives
longer than the bygones.

WORLD APART, STRANGERS
I made her a monster of loneliness
The day we became strangers
I mourdered her feelings and emotions
That was once a blosom of roses
Tears fell from her eyes many days
Yet my heart was not in for her tears
We turned to be the end of each other's
Worries, pains, tears, agony to the end of days
We wore the sackclothes of hopes
Voiceless I cried and wingless she Flutters
Toothless she bite, mouthless I mutters.
Halo of water, tongue of wood opens
Skin Of stone, long have I stood in pains
I pray we never see each other in pieces.

In longest night
of pitch-dark space
you disappear like an arrow.
No star brightens your face.
Rumor was cruising like a bat on streets
to capture the gullible victim
on winter solstice.
The snow was falling like
sorcery.
A little anxiety to taste the
dried out grapes
and listen to the hunger
mouthless.
You draw the lake
on a canvas
and then jump into it
with visible nakedness.

Lines on forehead are deepening.
No signs of abatement
of fire in our bellies.
The hunger we inherited
is only comforting
the mouthless.
Broken laughs.
Strange bedfellows
chopping off the murals from the lips.
A body rots,
stinks.
Maggots fly.
Negotiations are still on.
Who will dissect the legend
to find the cause of death?
Like a clay model, a soldier breaks.

Blood Curdled at The Chilling Quill 3
The night is too quiet for breathing
The faces form
Swelling from the pitch oily; floats
Mouthless screaming
Into monstrous caverns
Where fang-ed teeth stalactite
On slavering tongues
Cold suffocation jabs pillowed rocks
Deep into racing erratic heart
And clamours the air on fingers bent
With scratches awake on a coffin lid
The weight of movement
To slow to lift
Raise your head and scuffle muted threats
Dead hot blankets
Of fevered dreams and swollen hands
Push you over the edge
And tight in your throat
Breaks screeching into a panicked run
With tied legs you twist
Reclining pressed and pushed to escape
But no freedom formulates
As struggling madness reiterates
Pressure barking
At the corners of eyes
Mouthless
Screaming
Screaming
Mouthless
Struggle
Shake
And eyes
Suddenly
Open
You are awake
