Missions Poems

Missions

Some say that we humans,
have a mission here on earth.

Somebody should teach that
to the ears of idiots.

Few discover their mission,
they rationalize
that being a scientist or a poet
must be their mission.

Few understand,
that loving your horse or dog,
is both holy and ordained.
It's expected.

Saying sorry, ten times a day is our mission.
Knowing that nothing matters,
but caring anyway -
that

Solitary Missions

The people have spoken
The turd has been flushed
Only a small trace lingers
You could count the important
Messages here
On Mickey Mouse’s fingers
We say what we want
We want what we say
And every last Joe must listen
Last count, I’d say
There are far, far too many
Solitary missions

Don’t I know you
From Acapulco?
Didn’t you see me in training?
Couples like us
Were always doomed
And

Premium MemberLet's Involve In World Missions

Verily rescued from hell’s destructiveness
Let’s involve in world missions along salvation’s fruitfulness
To advance God’s kingdom of heavenly righteousness
By His holiness and justice-forgiveness.

Verily enlightened from religion’s hypocrisy
Let’s involve in world missions along redemption’s sufficiency
To declare God’s aid of plenteous mercy
By His grace and compassion-fervency.

Verily acquitted from sin-penalty’s grievance
Let’s involve in world missions along regeneration’s radiance
To show

Premium MemberDisempowering Missions

Begin
by composing grandly outsized mission statements,
"To end racism, ignorance, sin."

Continue
to accept past win/lose separations,
divorces,
fragmentation
as tolerable compromises
while power-wrestling business as capitalistically, financially
and politically, socially, culturally, historically
and psychologically, individually, ego-systemically
and ecologically, tribally, communally, eco-systemically
and theologically usual competitions.
"My gospel,
self-empowering truth,
is more divinely inspired than yours."
Rather than,
"How have our diverse gospels become inherited
from past compassionate win/win
divinely inclusive,
multiculturing SacredSources?"

Conclude

Missions of Today
(Autumn’s Long Shadow)

Autumn shows long shadows but not at night
The sun doesn’t shine as much through the day
For the evening comes without much light

Cool air comes through fooling no one alright
It’s the lamps that move one’s eyes right away
Autumn shows long shadows but not at night

Love combs the tombs of a man’s only

Missions of Possibilities

Memories of past childhood experiences
How my values were formed as I grew
My heart for others in need came naturally
I believe it was placed in my soul from above

When I tried to run from my calling I ran
Straight into the arms of destiny finally
I quit running from and ran into His arms
Rising empowered at the

Harsh Mission / San Francisco, CA 2011

Through the harsh white sunlight
the random bits of cast offs tumble and stick
smeared to the pavement and layered upon
upright posts, from pillar to post they roll
on bikes and trikes, on roller blades
and skate boards, down and out,
drunk and oh so sober, they meander
as if on the streets of Paris
in

Visions of Missions of Star Lights

Sing meaning through words
Sing music through songs
Join us strolling, soaring on the wings of musical strings
While enabling our souls refined to delve deep
As we become liberated with vibrations from within
Doors shall open room for truth to pave way
In accordance to the sum total of choices that some might have made(have to make)
Metal waves

Different Missions

As real as our concepts seem,
not one of us is alike in thoughts,
in ways of doing things...
or even creating an impressive masterpiece;
billions of minds shaped by their own inventiveness!

Different missions
demand a greater effort
to be as cunning as an artist;
desirous of knowing the odd,
the obivious or strange
when confronting a poker face,
which we rather

Everyday Missions

In everyday life,
Do we notice what we are dreaming?
The dreams that we cannot hold onto.
These visions of symbolic meaning
Set us in our daily goal.
In everyday missions.

We fill the world with will
Our wild kinetic dreams
Breaking the world’s surface.
Will molds visions
 Into
Everyday missions.

Has our expectations flown too high?
Seen so far away without the wings to carry.
We
