It was a teacup of pleasure,
our brief encounter,
just a flight to Brazil.
We talked, we laughed, ate, and had a nap.
Then, we experienced a series of air pockets.
Afraid she turned on me, hugging me tight.
I felt her lips hot on my cheeks., till all was calm
Her head slid onto my shoulders as she slept,
I smelled a trace of faint, expensive perfume.
Afterwards, she left the plane and disappeared.
A microsecond in this infinite universe,
never to be forgotten,
and on occasions least expected.
Her madonna face haunted me,
beckoning, luring, attractive, sensual.
It was a secret I held dear,
Though I knew not her name.
Perhaps that's just my regret,
knowing that now she’s in the arms
of someone else’s.
Does he love her as I did
in those few precious moments
when we shared each other,
and got lost in our peak sensations
of tenderness and dreams?
I asked myself and wondered but received no reply.

(dons the Sigourney Weaver mask)
Houston, we have a problem
She's breaking up! I can't hold altitude!
Stop opening the pod bay doors, Hal.
I can’t
It decided our fate in a microsecond...
We’re not going to make it, are we?
That’s no moon… it’s a space station
Luke, I am your faaaaaaaather
Dammit, Jim, I'm a doctor, not a miracle worker…
Revenge is best served up cold in spaaaaaace
They’re like locusts… moving from planet to planet
Nuke ‘em. Let’s nuke the bastards.
We will not go quietly into the night…
Powering down
Sleep, the final frontier
Take us home, Number One

This weak flaw you see in
The length of my cheeks,
Just helps me to remember the
Traumatic adventure that came to pass for me,
The occurrence that left
just a single man standing,
The disaster that was
To be discussed for age.
This distortion you see on my left cheek,
Projects my brain back to the misery
Also, torment I went through,
The aggravation and wounds that
Could consume a huge chunk of time to mend,
It additionally portrays of how ardent
I was to bear every one of the hurts.
This wounds you witness
In my nauseating face,
Provided me with the new significance of life,
It advised me that we as it were
Live once; life's excessively short,
Subsequently valuing each
microsecond in one's life.

And those days never waiting
Much I marveled the splendid twenty-four hours
Take thy afternoon from out my heart
The noontime smiled
And those days never waiting
Instead I uncovered the clock
The minute microsecond minting
Deep into that darkness tick tock
Nights out wanting
Back into my memories pointing
I felt compelled to sniff the hours
Nights out wanting lights, wanting sight
And those days never waiting

At just a glance
I have one more chance
For every microsecond,
that advances
You have just a minimum amount of time
To relapse and forgiveness hovers all around you
All you have to do is embrace it and be freed from your troubles

"Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces"
John Ruskin, 1853
Each microsecond makes a soul
formed piece by piece in the human mold,
a person soon for arms to hold,
a love that can’t be parted or sold.
We are tiny bits of one great whole
in a universe that’s precisely bold.
The crumbs in crusts will soon unfold
to make our lives a story told.
These minutes on this Earth we’ve stole.
Count seconds that are precious gold
or every footstep leading up to old,
the warm days that become the cold.

The bells and whistles went off
Announcing the "three question end of the game show" round.
The opportunity for the losing person to maybe catch up.
Just give me a picasecond please the studio host said
Is that less than a millisecond? the contender asked.
Oh, yes, even less than a microsecond, replied the host.
And a nanosecond?
Yes. Two questions gone. What is your final question?

Time in Cancerville
This time has no resemblance to real time.
Seconds are minutes and minutes are hours
and hours are days and days are months and
months are years. Test results take forever
and we always expect the worst outcome.
Chemo bags drip their poisons endlessly.
Everything never has a proper end time.
The only fast thing in Cancerville is the
growth time of tumors. Each microsecond
they gain a greater foothold. Tenacious.
In this time frame hope seems hopeless.
All good things come to those who wait.

Dear Lord, I Need
Dear Lord, I need your loving power
from microsecond to the hour.
You provide my life’s foundation,
the gift of pure salvation.
Dear Lord, I need your wise provision
for all small and large decisions
in accordance with your will
as you whisper, “Peace, be still.”
Dear Lord, I need you in the storms
that pass with their alarms
and strife that makes us cry
when giving up some dreams that die.
Dear Lord, I need your daily grace
my grievous faults to all erase
bestowing great your goodness kind
each given day and for all time.
Dear Lord, I try to do my best
to pass this Earthly journey’s tests
but for my needs to be complete
please let me know your “Mercy Seat.”

FREEDOM
I fly through the mountain valley chasing my own shadow
at five hundred miles an hour, on a knife edge
turn I fly around a rock outcrop, g-force crushing me down.
A feeling of being alive lasts forever as time stands still
in a microsecond, for I am on a wing and a prayer,
flying for freedom in a stolen fighter plane.
I have no guns or missiles to defend myself from the Alliance
who strive to catch me. With my agility and luck I may get through
to get home to see my girl and to live again
in what was once a dream for all those lonely years.

A contortionist achieves climax
Her ******** saluting her lips
From within an envelope of pleasure
Causing local beatitude
Though one may query such enthusiasm
Her ******** cooing mollifying concert
Waltzing against the hips of autumn temptation
That she was vibrant
Or that she was barren
Or that in artistry
This plausible microsecond
The happening of dawn quite imminent
And a canary perched upon a fence
Lavish us with falsettos
Each and every organism throughout the universe
Itself just below its conception
And love equalizes the balance

A murder of crows flys overhead
dotting the cloudy sky
flying in the same direction
and I wonder why
such are the mysteries of nature
with her intense images, sounds
smells and feel
one is never alone truly
that she does reveal
the crows hang out in the magical realm of things
black and cunning
with a hiercy sublime
they are intelligent and sneaky
eyes as black as coal that blink in microsecond time
This murder of crows
with their multitude of beating wings
is a sight to behold
and truly makes my heart sing.
