my dogs were maniacs today
they had not seen me since Wednesday afternoon
It is Sunday morning
the little one’s claws dug into the inside of my left arm
he did not mean to hurt me
but he could not stop pawing me
with those long sharp claws
he was thrilled to see his mama
the older dog was crying, he does that when he is happy
It was good to be home

Ecomaniacs tilt at windmills and joust at clouds
Don Quixotes screaming out loud
Climate Change! Global Warming! CO2!
as if you think Nature's amenable to you
Don't scream yourself hoarse! God's kept the Universe fit
over centuries and millenia ~ as humanity flutters and flits

iPhone Maniacs
crankshaft tendencies secure a brace of sly meatballs
truth daggers entice the worm girls with petite pastas
creature lilacs uproot themselves for pink dippity-do gels
white nylon ghost legs roam outer space in latex leotards
metacarpal syringes find porous outcries in the gloaming
crankshaft tendencies welcome the tilted exonerations
iPhone maniacs fondle frothing bananas mindlessly now
demon spiders ooze inside the crawlspaces wanting meat
cross-eyed priestesses suck on wax candles in the vestibule
black-robed choirs sing hangover music to the dribbling
rock music annihilations played by stoned dudes in shades
temples and taverns shake as the truth daggers hit earth
now the worm girls are dancing with the iPhone maniacs

"I am too busy today", said she.
No time to email, she stated.
With great drama, sorrowfully.
Planting petunias, washing clothes.
Good Lord~ I have heard excuses like this
By the droves.
The years go swiftly by, we grow older.
Excuses like these, as fascinating as raw
Perunian Pork shoulder!

Knife and pen, both should be warned,
Tools of deed and death,
Heart and life, they were scavenged,
By any means, please keep your faith,
Perhaps, you can dream like Creath.

These people aren't normal, they're basically insane
These power hungry maniacs must think it's a game
Shouldn't take them lightly
Dangerous and slightly
Unhinged with the ability to derail earth's train

RUBIK CUBISTS AND OTHER MANIACS
Those cube zombies wreck my head.
Damn that Hungarian genius
And his puzzle so ingenious;
I can never get a single side all red.
And the sudoka zealots so persist:
They try 45 then change to seven -
If it succeeds: they’re in heaven.
Their numbers form some magic list.
I see them on the train, and snort:
How can they become so engrossed?
As if it mattered in the world the most.
. . . . To my crossword I resort.

As I stare down the barrel of my gun
I watch the children play
Thoughts of the devil fill my mind
As I Watch the crowd,
I slowly take aim
Him or her it really doesn’t matter for they are all the same
Slowly the hate consumes all that I am
Then finally with rifle in hand…
I shoot…
Murdering my very existence and all that I am
I shoot…
Instantly taking away the pain
Realizing I may have gone insane,
I then reload…
Voices guiding my every action
With closed eyes and without reaction
I take aim…
Targeting the voices in my mind
I take aim…
Without thought or a clear shot I squeeze…
Suddenly the smell of the ocean takes over me,
White sand beaches and an island breeze
Reaching into the heavens I drop to my knees
Thank you god for sparring me
For it was not me but the devil you see
And in your debt I will forever be,
For I am gods only forgotten son
And finally my salvation has begun…
