Nature hedges its bets with candles and suns.
Some lives flash briefly in fecund swarms.
Fireflies, mice, lice and mayflies—
scatter their bright fireworks shoals of living sparks
with a fanfare of hope into the wilderness.
Others linger slowly through centuries:
whales, tortoises, redwoods, sloths, and—us—
cherishing and nurturing a precious handful of progeny.
Evolution never chose one way to survive and bargain with time.
Scatter a hundred thousand seeds—or guard a precious handful of few?
It's either careful maintenance, patiently sustained and nurtured—
Or throwaway spam replacements with no warranties.
Yet nothing blooms forever here—not even the daisies.
Even the white stars in the sky above age to orange giants.
Collapse to dull red dwarfs,
then fade further, and implode into dark black holes,
where even time itself forgets what day it is.
So make hay while the sun shines.
Count not the days you're left—
count what makes days glow, and linger long in memory.
When we were in secondary school,
we used to hold brooms like reign and sweep and sweep
and sweep and sweep clear and clean each an every
house.
And race to sweep Hamman Dikko house;
and race to sweep Tudun Wada house;
and race to sweep Ardo Sali house;
and make hay while the sun shines.
I remember the brooms were sharp and fine like rainy
water shattering amidst rainy season O a flowing river
towards the sea.
Our mathes teacher would almost punish us for assuming
that we can anyhow shatter in in in the wood- I remember
the duty perfect used to say as etiquette let begin
from jss 1 to the staffroom , let the ss1 and jss 111
sweep the senior classes and the computer lab.
I remember the motto is keep out impurity and clean
your school and the society at large?.

Like the tick and wine of the Clock
Like the Rising and Setting of the Sun
Rising from among the multitude
To disappear like the thickest of Clouds
But just for a while.
Yes! You Reigned
Surely the Oracle did Reign
But! That was yesterday
You Reign as if you will forever do
But just for a while
MJ You Reigned
Like the foreign goddess on stage
A god unknown to everyone
With unbelievable walks across the spotlight
But just for a while.
Our fathers Reigned
Our forefathers Reigned
But neither of them do today
Who will Reign forever?
Who can? Today and tomorrow.
Even the World they say
Don't last forever
Hence the wise note the saying
Make Hay while the Sun Shines
And take Rest while the Night lasts.

"Lost like a needle in and haystack"
"Make hay while the Sun shines", some make to much
Could be a bad case of," to many irons in the fire"
