Premium MemberKarolina, We Love You

When the morning dawn arises and your blue eyes
open by surprise on the other side,
may the breath of God awaken you
to a brand new day of peace and healing grace;
May He take you by the hand and lead you to the shore,
where your family waits for you, with open arms.
When the sun sets over heaven
gdy slonce zachodzi nad niebem
may they have another angel
niech maja innego aniola
may you know how much you are loved, daughter of gold
we will always, remember you with love.
In our hearts you'll live forever and never grow old.
w naszych sercach bedziesz zyl wiecznie i nigdy sie nie zestarzejesz

ps our neighbors just lost their daughter to a senseless
act of crime, a stray bullet hit her and she died a few days ago
I can't begin to imagine what the parents are going through
right now

Premium MemberThe Naked Maja

Based on the famous painting..."The Naked Maja"
                      ~A Fantasy~

Within Her Memory-All of This Lives

Lying naked with him
in summers’ heat.
Iced lotus tea...in blue frosted
glasses.
“Sweetheart,”she sighed “what
a treat!"

Plus watermelon and mint on
crystal plates?
He made her heart, much faster
beat.
Reading her poetry by Kahlil
Gibran!
Sexy man, time you turn that
fan on?

A picture of herself, soft~
like the “Naked Maja!”
Was lovely, in her straw hat....
gorgeous!
The color of deep brown Kava.

She cherished that picture of that
steamy moment in time .
When she was yours and times,
divinely sublime!

She thinks of the child they created~
And lost, and mourned together.
May her infant soul be in heaven, light
and crystalline, as a feather.

As frames in pictures, they kissed in
both sun and the rain.
When they parted, clouds brought her
an ombré, on-going pain.

His twinkling hazel eyes, she still
does see.
And, oh, how she misses him, so zealously!

The Gypsy

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Maja_desnuda#/media/File:Goya_Maja_naga2.jpg

The Prado in Madrid
a cool tent of marble
set back from the Retiro Park.

I have come
to see the gypsy girl.
Goya painted her twice.
Maja Desnuda is her soul
the other, the clothed version,
only a mannequin.

She is not shy,
though she reclines naively
adopting a position
of demure sexuality,
a gauche enticement.

Her eyes are calculating,
perhaps she is figuring
her pay by the hour?

I stand as near to her
as Goya would have.
I feel the space between us-
it is pressed and curved
like the tip of a brush.

Her belly button is inwards;
running vertically from it
a line of fine hair,
a genitive gravity
that leads the eye downward
to her womanhood.

A less uncompromising artist
would not have painted
that delicate trail
yet it is his master stroke,
he has set a lioness
into a purse of flesh.

A finger points to a moon
that only gypsies can read
from the dark surface
of this world.

Premium MemberErotica - Goya Style

Not surrounded by cherubs,
the Nude Maja
shows pubic hair...
She stares,
and makes women ill at ease,
though I cannot speak for men.

There is a faint line of hair
from crotch to navel...
I cannot say I quested this
and most men would not care,
(or would they?)
for chance to see inclusion.

The pillows are nice
and the green coverlet,
but one is drawn to piercing eyes,
and the fact she has nothing to offer
except to show off cheap-style
in Madrid's Museo.

Premium MemberLa Maja Desnuda and La Maja Vestida

Nudes were outlandish and unique in Goya’s time
A harlot asked to paint her nude with pubic hair
On criticism, he refused to paint without clothes sublime
Instead painted another one with fair clothes
Clothes make the man, especially woman with care.

Grandpa's Air Port Shuttle

Maja, Noah and little Luke
all excited and looking so cute
with Mommy, Daddy and the rest of the clan
we grab the bags and pile into the van.

We leave the house just before dawn
Grandma stays back as we move on
on to the airport we’ve said our goodbyes
it’s just a vacation but I’ll miss these guys.

kids and luggage pile out at the curb
“You’ll have to move your van sir!”is all I heard
but I was in the moment missing them already
being grandpa I smile and keep myself steady

I’m just not ready to part with them yet
I need more time before they board that jet
“Sir you’ll have to move your van now!”
But I want more time with my kids some how.

Still I smile and wave and pull away.
I’ll see them again a week from Sunday
----We miss you guys---
