La Maja Desnuda and La Maja Vestida

Nudes were outlandish and unique in Goya’s time
A harlot asked to paint her nude with pubic hair
On criticism, he refused to paint without clothes sublime
Instead painted another one with fair clothes
Clothes make the man, especially woman with care.

I was really interested in this one for it looking Spanish. Or is it French? Anyway, a fascinating topic. I think nude is nice if it's a good body!!!

I enjoy Goya, as well. A beautifully written contrast and tribute to women.

What a beautiful comparison. Nudity may have its charms and beauty to attract the viewer for sometimes but there is no height limit for a woman wrapped in appealing cloths. The beauty with clothes creates a place deep in our heart and minds and can dwell there forever where as the other images vanishes with the passing of time. Creative work Dr. Mehta and thank you for your interest in Kacha and Devayani. Love and best wishes always..Ravindra K Kapoor
