Premium Member The Blessing of the Right to Vote

                     Quote by Thomas Paine
“ I prefer peace! But if trouble must come, let it come
   in my time, so that my children, can live in peace.”
                                    ~~~~~~~~
It really is up to us, to vote with a very clear mind.
To vote to stop free speech is anything but kind!
To force a nation, to take unsafe vaccinations?
In our Republic, is purely, such mindless ruination.
Every legal citizen has a blessed right to vote.
Sneaking over borders, an illegal is no antidote.
America is a Republic not just a mere democracy.
And, yes, you can become rich, this is no aristocracy!
With guaranteed rights, we don’t live in anarchy
It is up to you to prevent any evil slaveogracy.
Caring citizens do vote to put another in office..
Wrong choices are their fault~so be very cautious!
Every voter should take their own moral inventory!
Before casting excuses, and creating zany stories.
A sad scenario, if you boast that you don’t vote at all.
Don’t you know, you are contributing to the USA’s downfall?
Ode To Fanny Craddock
Ode to Fanny
Her start in life was rather poor
with wastrel parents, ones to abhor
She avoided living in the gutter
Earning enough for her bread and butter
Her break in life came rather later
Before, bigamy and babies to underrate her
Her kids grew up in the care of another
She never took to being a mother
Her culinary skills proved rather good
She could write and critique on all kinds of food
Destined to star in sixties telly
She graced her shows in glitzy finery
Her zany persona was rather dippy
Her dress was ball gown and misplaced lippy
Shunning apron and hat that looked so drab
‘Cos cooking and baking should always look fab
The man she had met was rather fine
Ex army major, life was divine
They fronted shows as man and wife
Fanny and Johny, well matched and no strife
Her fame continued for rather a while
Overridden by others in different style
And gaffes too many, they booted her out
No telly shows, no gowns to flout
Her recipes of the past still rather great
She put pizza and prawn cocktail on our plate
She and Johny, always a couple
Poor but content to remain conjugal
Ooh rather!
A To Z Friendship
A friendship can never break or
Be dissolved if you are more than
Considerate enough to understand
Deeds of kindness can go far
Enough to get you through the days
Forever by each other's side
Going nowhere when it's tough
Having strength for one another
In bad times that bring you down
Just remember to be there with
Kindness care and understanding
Love and laughter that will bring
Memories that fill your heart
Now and always it won't stop
Or ever leave your aging mind
Perhaps you can look back and think about
Quaint days that you had together
Remembering the fun and joy
Seeing it just like a movie
Tearing up from knowing that
United you stood never falling
Valently you braved the days
When weather was a little stormy
Xyloses sweet as friends can be
Year by year there is no doubt
Zany antics kept you together
In the heart of darkness, life starts poor,
A flicker of hope, but nothing more.
A world of shadows dreams hard to suppress,
Yet in this chaos, there is a journey to success.
The story goes from poor to rich.
Forever told is a tale of grit to switch.
Through trials and tribulations, we strive,
To break the chains that try to deprive
In the depths of hatred, we find repugnance.
A bitter taste, a venomous dance.
Scum of the earth, with hearts so callous,
Living amidst us, spreading their malice.
In the depths of the drain, darkness prevailed.
Where forgotten dreams and hopes were jailed,
A place where light dared not tread,
Where forgotten souls had been misled.
In the realm of shadows, where hunger resides,
A soul so weary, in the darkness, abides.
With weary eyes, it scans the barren street.
A heart that yearns for sustenance to eat.
In the realm of dreams, where stars align,
A luminary graced the stage with divine
With shimmering sequins, his armor of might,
He wore glitzy gowns, a mesmerizing sight.
In a world of laughter, where jesters reside,
There's a man who conceals what's deep inside,
With a zany facade, he hides his true face.
A master of comedy, full of wit and grace.
The Brainy Stranger @ the Book Store Coffee House - A Narrative Poem
One day at a book store,
In the corner they sold,
Some very flavorful coffee and biscuits cakes;
"We've got some lovely shacks,
Say’s the library hostess".
I'll give you a very fine price."
"I'd rather have some soapbox."
The man blinked rapidly thrice.
The man seemed exceptionally busy,
And his manner was strangely amused.
He wasn't what I would call fizzy,
Great disdain he noticeably oozed.
Like others, he thought I was odd,
You must now open your mind,
And get down to Book Store Coffee House Market.
So to Book Store Coffee House Market I decided to go,
In search of the zoos I craved.
The winds it did eerily blow.
But I felt that the day could be saved.
There were stalls selling crisps,
Pasties in many shades.
There were even stalls selling fruits and dates
People were scattered from many trades
I was greeted by a peculiar lady,
She seemed to be rather brainy
I couldn't help thinking she might be quite shady.
I wondered if she was at all zany.
Before I could open my mouth,
She shouted, "For you, I have some fresh hot chocolate caramels Yum!"
I headed towards her, to the south
"But how did you know?" I asked,
"Do you want them or not?" she did say.
Silently, the aroma she passed away.
Then it vanished before I could pay.
As I walked away I heard a crackle
Or was it, perhaps, a hushed cackle?
All those books on the shelf just fell on me…
Premium Member Zestful
There was a zany, zesty Zebu that lived his
life with full of zest.
Out of the animals in the big wildlife reserve
he shined brighter than the rest.
He was never down with a big frown, he was
positive and enthusiastic,
So super uplifting that his positivity rubbed off
on all in his presence, his "go-to phrase was “
you’re fantastic!"
The zany, zestful Zebu from a wildlife reserve
in New Zealand isn’t gone.
Zachariah was his name; he was known for
his zestfulness and positivity, his memory
lives on.
 * Zebu- The zebu, sometimes known in the plural as indicine
 cattle or humped cattle, is a species or subspecies of domestic cattle originating in the Indian sub-continent.
Premium Member On Becoming a Better Poet
Seek to help a good friend!
Trophies, your heart, will never mend!
Sure, poetry sites have contests.
But few and sparse, you can bet.
Just throwing money at this site?.
Does not make me a poet, right?
Some walk about dreaming they
are the poet laureate.
And that’s the most absolutely zany
idea yet.
It takes ten years at least to be a good
poet.
I know clearly, I have not arrived there
yet.
Take your time, learn the poetry forms,
classical.
It’s not a must, but makes your ideas magical!
I know, I won’t be believed, just catch
more heat.
But truth is best and cannot be beat!
Premium Member Far Beyond Hereafter Part Two
Brains in this group were graded according to a binary system.
1 winner  0 as in loser.
A hypnotic mantra often -
 “Winner, loser, hopeless chooser.”
There were even signs such as a straight finger for 1 or orb like finger sign for loser.
One might wonder aloud if this clique with their uncanny gestures would fit in anywhere else except this setting of their choice.
Hazy plume, rainbow eucalyptus, sylvan zephyr, amber leaf cascade,
lambent shroud, halcyon xanadu, wonder world cocoon,  among the zany names they had thought of.
The staff each had nicknames linked to the above enterprises.
The brainstorming sessions they had had no drama or plot could “match.”
“Often have the  feeling we are pawns to our ideas.”
Amber leaf sighed.
Lambent :
 “This place is “dead on”  for the wrong reason.
Smart is always in season.”
Lambent nodding to his “imaginary” sidekick “Shadow”
that seemed glued to his desk.
After all, they were used to that sort of thing as innovative university students.
This unusual alliance though city based had links to different areas.
But nothing would daunt this oddball eccentric clique and their very imaginative and oft bizarre aims.
They were nothing if not colorful.
They had this impressive  office garnished with wallpaper having pictures of their various businesses and the names associated with them.
This franchise had been in existence now for over 5 years.
It was coping to an extent but there was an underlying desire to go beyond that.
A glorified high tek office routine secretly horrified everyone.
Lambent shroud, ICloud expert in the group was perhaps the zaniest of them all.
He had a fetish about hazes  and how the term could be used.
Haze was his buzzword and
of course his very own in the ether mate.
He had a virtual sidekick called “Shadow.”
They used to speak to each other in rhymes.
“Hi there, going nowhere shadow.
I’m really stuck. Yuck!”
