For gentle is the spirit of parents

That listens intuitively to a child’s echo,

An accompaniment from their breaths

Speaking only purity of thought--

Without deceit or adult-like fakery: like so,

Night birds croon in deep esteem,

When moonlight leads their youngster home… till

Burst of morning glistens on a child,

Utterly joyous and fed with familial love

While heaven bows back to man and wife,

Humming tunes of praise for safe journeys…

A couple devoted, guiding their child’s essence

That makes his world ever brave and authentic.

Premium Member Our Peach

In a moment of magic I once gave her a juicy innocent peach

Not yet knowing that she harboured a sweet nascent dream

In which as a youngster she knew that she would marry the one

Who handed such a fleshy gift to the gypsy Queen of Fairy Land

Bestowed upon her by night’s prophesy she carried the vision of

Requited love and blissful peace brought by subconscious longing

And spiritual clarity of a Higher Power submerged in compassion

A passionate fruit with soft skin and one huge seed of togetherness

We eloped together into a new dawn

The doomsayers had a field day as they harvested bitter doubts

‘It will only last a couple of months and the peach will turn rotten’

‘You cannot feed on clairvoyant oracles and meek pagan beliefs’

‘They are deluded insane and caught up in misguided romance’

They called her a witch a seductress and labelled me irresponsible

With so much at stake painted pictures of broomsticks and failure

While we had found the jewel in a haystack without even searching

And set fire to the past as we danced naked around a fire of passion

We knew the truth of intuitive feeling

One can never be sure what lies at the end of paths never taken

Whether road blocks and diversions belittle emotions and faith

But they who ignore heavenly signs forfeit adventure and truth

Stay stuck in spent time and hail its dubious comfort at their peril

We travelled and found a small hut on the beach out of sight

Collected starfish and driftwood and caressed wounded souls

Carved wedding bands out of sea shells and called upon dolphins

To witness our marriage surfing along happily ever since then

		A cormorant applauded the feast

Under a star studded canopy on the miraculous shore of belonging

We never strayed from what intuition and feelings offered for free

Meandered on the shoreline and set our sails into a magical ocean

Tasted the salt of a mindful earth and soothed our recovering minds

Never questioned the wisdom of our union shared by hungry souls

Treasure pleasure and joy weathered powerful storms and all tides

The cosmos donates all we ever need once we are willing to navigate

Waves and effervescence sparkling desire and in our case a peach

		Leading the universal way

Premium Member Memories Colored With Bliss

Bliss-filled nostalgia of bright memories
     resurrected my joyous youngster days
urged by my special child’s grand masterpiece
               showing a lady’s multi-colored-dress
which he persevered on thru his crayons.

Such glad reminiscence brought me flashback
of my art-inspired times with my siblings
when we would make alive various drawings
               by delightfully applying colors
                     with Dad and Mom cheering.

With vibrant mood, I’ll constantly cherish
our mirth as a family together
warmed by love’s radiance, glowing with sweet care
while feasting on God’s blessings* midst dearth blues
                    thanking Him for grace-light’s faith-fluorescence.

Never in oblivion would I bury
     golden stewardship lessons of mentors
          “Work well; invest in eternal values;
               Waste not resources, nor squander money;
Spend wisely, yet wholeheartedly you share.”

*Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

Premium Member Peanut Butter With It's Jelly-A Child's Matinee Production Performance

Today I think of your
Contributions closing the theater’s door
Putting together toasted bread
Ready for a child to be fed
Youngster wearing grape jelly
Face down to the belly
Laughing saying ‘this is great’
Not showing any hate
But Peanut Butter, it is you
Who makes the mid-day matinee ever so cool
Thank you for coming out of the nutty shell
I would like to tell
About the sandwich where you are
The star
Performing with a backup fruity band
Bringing in all your fans
Grabbing using two strong hands
Not really needing added ham
Applause when going into the mouth
Travelling stomach south
Toddler enjoying the mess
Never will they confess
Instead, go off to sleep
Napping counting Bo and Peep
Lovely sheep
Who once were said
Proclaimed Holy bread
God’s true lamb
Sacrificed when ended up caught in a jam
How much do we love
Our meal fitting like a glove
Getting it all over ourselves
Nutritious wealth
Giving us good health
Being simple as a chair
Lunchtime afternoon’s delightful affair
Always welcome on the stage
No matter what the audiences age

Linda-Marie

Angelic force,
draping over me, her canopy.
Unmasking the wonder of this youngster,
her spirits alive within me

You helped erect my "secret window"
Ambitiously chasing what I hunger!
Her spirits alive within me,
unmasking the wonder of this youngster!

Our poetry sessions, I sit and reminisce.
Stress free, under this willow tree
Unmasking the wonder of this youngster,
her spirits alive within me!

When depressed and blue you come through,
relax me when feeling vulgar.
Her spirits alive within me,
unmasking the wonder of this youngster!

Every verse meant to impress this poetess,
an essence of the empress I aim to please!
Unmasking the wonder of this youngster,
her spirits alive within me!

Harshest critic yet my biggest fan,
imperfections cast asunder
Her spirits alive within me,
Unmasking the wonder of this youngster

Death cannot take the gift I was given,
Linda-Marie!!
Unmasking the wonder of this youngster,
her spirits alive within me.

Second Childhood

When I go for a morning walk,
For I found myself fresh & smooth,
In case I’m in an attitude to talk
I’ll pick away a youth.

I'd ideally chat with a youngster
Of an energetic age
Than to chat in the high-sanctuary class
With a school’s sage.

I’d love the scramble of extravagant hand
That carefully sticks;
It is mature enough I grasp
‘Why life is so tough’, I should not ask.

I love the drone of little tongue
Moreover, trusting in the eyes;
These are the joys that keep me young
As daylight kicks the blue skies.

For as to second childhood
I gently drew it close
With a happy heart to see it why
We are reborn in our adulthood.

Fragment

Not a single day was wasted in youth,
it remains that fragment destiny intended,
and although its briefness wasn't astute...
I went along with it and happily fled!

Reviewing pictures that were kept from sunlight,
the sixties seem the present instead of the past...
see that boy's happy face drowned in delight;
was he foreseeing the long journey fate set?

A youngster carrying an undeserved, unbearable weight:
a hefty prize paid for a father's unfulfilled task;
no tears flowed, only strength sustained by faith....
he kept on going to defy challenge, never taking any risk.

Oh, youth lived in innocence...where's the vitality of younger days?
No, oblivion is not desired by me, it won't consume any or all regrets.

Premium Member Dexter John and His Wheelbarrow Nap

Dexter John, baby calf was tuckered, he had been playing all day.
He laid down in the Kansas grass, brown enough to be harsh hay.
His fifteen-year-old human cousins picked him up without a peep.
Placed him in a green wheelbarrow, comfortable enough to sleep.

His mother was comfortable resting her teats for a little while
The sun came out and filled the sky for a delightful country mile.
Dexter John snoozed loudly, his dreams of barley, oats and hay.
He was being weaned from his mother, and this truly was the way.

Bull Daddy came across his wife, with no calf youngster by her side.
Where is Dexter John? He snorted, for Dexter was his loin-filled pride.
He’s in the barn, taking a snooze, giving me a little breathing room.
When he gets ready for some milk, he’ll be back out, probably quite soon.

The teenage boys heard Dexter John bellowing for his tasty mother.
They gave him pats and set him on his feet and he ran to join his brother.
Why did they put you in the green thing? His twin asked, was it a dare?
It was not so bad, Dexter John replied. I napped. It was kind of fun in there.
