The Song of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs

TYPICAL 30 - The Start of the 2013-2014 NHL Season
30 of them began their battle with hopeful beginnings
But 14 of them will have their early exit...

As for the 16 teams, their Stanley Cup Playoffs dream begins

The SWEET 16 were chosen, who will be the ones to take the fall?
Round 1 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Let the First Round Battle Begin!

SWEET 16 - The First Round of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs
16 of them sprinted out from the starting line
But 8 of them fell short to advance...

The Tampa Bay Lightning couldn't produce any more thunder
The Detroit Red Wings ran its last engine
The St. Louis Blues have played its final note
The Dallas Stars could no longer lead the charge

The Columbus Blue Jackets fired its last cannon
The Philadelphia Flyers have crashed down
The Colorado Avalanche buried themselves in the snow
And the San Jose Sharks couldn't take a final bite

The ELITE 8 were chosen, who will the ones to take the fall?
Round 2 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Let the Second Round Battle Begin!

ELITE 8 - The Second Round of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs
8 of them advanced to the next stage
But 4 of them failed to advance...

The Minnesota Wild could no longer pull a wild run
The Pittsburgh Penguins were left on frozen thin ice
The Boston Bruins were hunted down
And the Anaheim Ducks quacked no more

The FINAL 4 were chosen, who will the ones to take the fall?
Round 3 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Let the Conference Finals Begin!

FINAL 4 - The Third Round of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs
4 of them advanced to the next stage
But only 2 of them will go to the final stage...

The Montreal Canadiens were left in a cold state
And the Chicago Blackhawks final stand ended in complete defeat

The TREMENDOUS 2 were chosen, who will be the one to win it all?
The Final Round of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Let the Stanley Cup Final Begin!

TREMENDOUS 2 - The Final Round of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs
2 of them danced on the big stage
But only 1 of them was crowned as the champion...

The New York Rangers could not lead the way to the finish

The ONLY 1 was chosen, a team who won through it all!
Los Angeles Kings - The 2014 Stanley Cup Champions

Let the Stanley Cup Playoffs End!

Evolving Vivian Maier

Vivian walked a tighter path
than she would have believed.
For one with anonymity
she would be deceived.

A public figure she was not.
Her life spent between images.
And when at home it wasn't hers
that landlords brought her scrimmages.

Her photos now celebrities.
though many now are dead.
That fame for the photographer;
in death she may have led.

She opened up a world of art.
The pictures thousand words.
To leave us with as many thoughts,
she scattered with the birds.

Her wealth was an illusion
of a life seen through a shutter.
To ending on a bench meant;
an ending poor in clutter.

A death that she took nothing of
and left as unfulfilled.
While dying brought her everything
evolving in her guild.

To live on Vivian Maier how
you're time's been shared in fate.
You're talent has enriched us all.
You're life's a second take.

Kindness can go a long way to help others

His affairs are entirely private, as signified by his facial expression.
In his coat pocket, he keeps his old brown mitts.
We have observed him on every trip as he travels into the city.
His long winter coat is wrapped tightly around his body.
Despite 90-degree weather, he smiles and appears friendly.
However, he may seem somewhat dangerous if not approached cautiously.
Scenes of confusion frequently occur on the streets of New York,
as well as on TikTok, a social platform.
The nursery rhyme, "The Owl and the Pussycat", continues to play in my head.
They went to sea on a beautiful pea-green boat,
taking some money and plenty of honey,
wrapped in a five-pound note—
another perplexing scene familiar to us
to comprehend as an intelligent individual.
These individuals did not exhibit typical symptoms of heat exhaustion.
Wearing only a single layer of clothing seems
to cause significant discomfort even in 90-degree weather conditions for most of us
as we go about our daily tasks,
we see them every day, but little do we know
Their mental trait could be off-putting to some of us
His affairs are entirely private, as signified by his facial expression
Treat others with kindness and compassion, exemplifying the qualities of Jesus.

No Bedroom Clown Live Here

Finding numbers in your jeans
Red lip stick stains on the white sheets
The smell of cheap perfume
embedded into your clothes
I wear polo for ladies
so, it's no perfume of mine
I'am sure that  this man
is cheating on me or is my mind playing tricks
He just popped the big question
I want to believe that he would not cheat
but the evidence is clear
I'am going to turn the ring down
You not playing me like some bedroom clown
Don't be mad because you got caught
Who playing who
The clown is you
Press the big red button on your nose
Bronx Bronx New York City Bronx Bronx New York City Bronx Bronx
and just head on home back to your city

Premium Member I Didn'T Do It - Sharpie Gate In Trump's Own Words

Not I, not me, uh uh, not true,
I own no Sharpies in black nor blue,
I’m sure I’m right, the chart was clear,
Dorian’s path to Alabama’s near.

The media cries I made it up,
I drew the lines right on the map;
How dare they say such lies so mean,
My words are gold, my conscience clean.

These folks do whine, they rant and rave,
To score some points they sorely crave,
Yet all they do time and again,
So well reminds of a cackling hen.

If there’s an expert that’s so me,
No-one quite sees the things I see,
Wind direction that’s my hat,
Great golfers know precisely that.

And if the storm went up the coast,
That too should earn me one loud toast,
I channeled prayers from all around,
To have it miss that Rebel ground.

The South’s my turf, I like those folks,
A land of dreamers full of hopes,
I have their vote, undying love,
Hence why I gave this thing a shove.

Towards New York, that den of thieves,
Spreading untruths like falling leaves,
Let them delight in Natures wrath,
Rewarding me with one great laugh.

When the Language Merge

I Walk into Bobby Department Store
And I yelled where are the Jamaican and Barbadian at?
This might sound a little weird to most,
however, it’s that time of the year,
when all the languages and the dialect merges
follow by the real country accent of them original place
Plus, some rudeness as their form long waiting lines

But to see the joy of Christmas
Still exist in their tone of voice

Christmas time is that one time of year
when you could be happy without
giving yourself any reasons. Quote

I could hear sentences like
I want to mail this barrel by next week
But I know they wouldn’t get it before next year
As an outside, listening in on stranger conversations
they might say to themselves

“What is this barrel they are talking about
A barrel of rum, a barrel of jack Daniel
A barrel of monkey, what barrel?

Yes Bubba! that barrel it filled with gift and food stuff
For their family on the Island of Brim
So, all I have to add to this is.....that

I am reminded that while New Yorkers say, "standing online,"
the rest of the English-speaking world says "standing in line. - Jeffrey Stein Garten quote.

Future Archaeology

You just will not believe what we
found in the desert sands,
a city lost a thousand years
out in the western lands!
I led the dig that found the place,
and I’ve got to tell you,
what we’ve dug up is gonna change
all that you thought you knew…

In the middle of this lost town,
an unexpected site,
buildings of all past world cultures,
yes, yes, you heard me right!
You’ll first see a big pyramid
that rivals Egypt’s size,
no one knew that they made it here,
but soon we realized
Right next to it, like a castle
rose another palace,
like those the ancient English built,
but never one like this!
And not far off, a large complex
made by the ancient French,
copy of their iron tower,
they built it here, again.
Not far off a palace the looks
much like ancient New York,
when people lived in tower homes,
the American sort.
Down the way is a vast complex
the ancient Romans built,
statues of their honored leaders,
with finery it’s filled.
And not far off, a past Venice
rises up from the earth,
they were so rich they built canals
right here in the desert!

Scattered around are massive halls
filled with thousands of seats,
vast places where all of the world
could congregate and meet,
And that’s what told us what this was,
it all made lots of sense,
this town was where the nations met
to make peace amongst men.
Each nation had their own palace
centered here on this road,
if conflict rose out in the world,
to the meeting halls they’d go.
They’d talk out their problems to seek
reconciliation,
I believe this city must’ve housed
the United Nations!
I know you hear that name and think
it just cannot be true,
but given all we’ve discovered,
what else makes sense to you?

Now there is much still to dig out,
one mystery is this:
Everywhere we dig we find these
small, useless plastic discs?

…weird.

Premium Member That's Mrs Santa, a Sequel To Trouble At the North Pole

Who's that swell-dressed, well-developed lady
Struttin' round the old North Pole?
Well, bless my soul!
That's Mrs. Santa.
You'd hardly recognize her.

Lookin' like a million-dollar baby,
Heatin' up the cold North Pole.
Back in control,
That's Mrs. Santa.
She's had a transformation.

She was always short and plump but pretty,
Matronly, a "six" at best.
But after just a month in New York City,
She came back slenderized,
And glamorized,
And tantalizing as Ms. Mae West.

Now they're doin' fine up there in their icy palace
Where she outshines the aurora borealis,
And Santa's one happy gent,
In debt, but more than content
That it was money well-spent
To reinvent Mrs. Santa.

Premium Member Neon Bodies and Old Trains

Without you, there would be no dirty hoes or moldy dishes.
I'd hook up with a wild one in less than a New York minute.
Every night I'd go out hungry sharking with the guys.
Circling neon bodies until it was closing time.

Lantern fishing all night, poker games would be the norm.
Sure, would beat listening all night to an ogre's snore.
I wouldn't have to be the perfect gentleman.
I could proudly pick my nose and break the sweetest wind.
Never again would I fall victim to a case of deep blue balls.
I'd be notching headboards and knocking pictures off the wall.
Then again, nobody else but you would have my back.
You're a rotten lover but a pretty good down friend.
I've decided to ride the same old train,
until I run it completely off its track.

Mama Cass was in the club too
but kicked her out because she was 32!

Jim Morrison- “L.A. Woman” His presence quite a sight to see
The Doors, his band, Jim’s buried in a famous Paris cemetery

Amy Winehouse- Jazz singer—her deep, expressive contralto vocals
New York bluesy new Motown sound, knew she’d die young say the articles

Kurt Cobain-Modern day Rock Icon died
lead singer & guitarist of Nirvana, by suicide
Although rumor has it was Courtney Love
Kurt’s death meant he joined the fabled 27 club

A few of “The 27 Club” Rock Stars that rocked me!
A dormant sadness erupts in me when their songs are played
Rock Stars are noted for their high-risk lifestyles
