Future Archaeology

You just will not believe what we found in the desert sands, a city lost a thousand years out in the western lands! I led the dig that found the place, and I’ve got to tell you, what we’ve dug up is gonna change all that you thought you knew… In the middle of this lost town, an unexpected site, buildings of all past world cultures, yes, yes, you heard me right! You’ll first see a big pyramid that rivals Egypt’s size, no one knew that they made it here, but soon we realized Right next to it, like a castle rose another palace, like those the ancient English built, but never one like this! And not far off, a large complex made by the ancient French, copy of their iron tower, they built it here, again. Not far off a palace the looks much like ancient New York, when people lived in tower homes, the American sort. Down the way is a vast complex the ancient Romans built, statues of their honored leaders, with finery it’s filled. And not far off, a past Venice rises up from the earth, they were so rich they built canals right here in the desert! Scattered around are massive halls filled with thousands of seats, vast places where all of the world could congregate and meet, And that’s what told us what this was, it all made lots of sense, this town was where the nations met to make peace amongst men. Each nation had their own palace centered here on this road, if conflict rose out in the world, to the meeting halls they’d go. They’d talk out their problems to seek reconciliation, I believe this city must’ve housed the United Nations! I know you hear that name and think it just cannot be true, but given all we’ve discovered, what else makes sense to you? Now there is much still to dig out, one mystery is this: Everywhere we dig we find these small, useless plastic discs? …weird.
