Happy?

I had so much going on in my life

and that hasn't changed after you left

scars on my heart and in my head

and although i kind of wish I saw that before the email

i still have a chance to apologize

not to you, but to last year

for all the BS I tried to get myself into

because all the flags were painted lime, so that means you were fine, right

  not quite

so i bleached my eyes white

you brainwashed me, and i was dirty

       so i rewashed it

rewatched your videos for the last time

    deleted them

defeated the demon in me that still wanted to be inside you

hoping that i'll forget your name,

because by the time i face my future
i'll know there are so many people with your name
and i played with them all the same way you wished you could

but youre the only one with that name
                                           it's fine, i dont care
you wouldn't know if i'd remember because if I were you right now, i'd feel like that monarch butterfly i saw on the sidewalk

      baking in the sunlight
          unable to fly

                 doomed to disappear

i wish i could take a picture so i could show you

      oh well,

maybe it was meant to be forgotten.

oh well, maybe it wasn't meant to be

just like you werent meant to be loved like she loved me.

   and i kissed her

and it reminded me how it could have been you

it's a damn good thing i'll never be good enough for you

right?

Empty Words

Empty words, easily spoken,, but hard to swallow, you say them with little effort at all,
Empty words, empty meaning, but leave a hurtful mark,
Empty words, you say them with a smile, but the pain lingers for awhile.

Empty words, let me refresh your memory;
Hi, how are you today, good to see you again,"
You are so smart, you will go on to bigger and better things"
Im so glad you were in my class".
You are honestly doing your best".

Empty words, leave a painful mark,
One that you cannot see,
Empty words, bring tears, that I have to wipe away,
Empty words, lead to an empty space,
Are you happy now, Since I am now gone?

I know you have moved on, I only hope its not to hurt someone else,
Because empty words, only spread pain and mistrust,
But Im used to it, someone else may not.
Goodbye Suzanne, for my monarch butterflies werent really your thing,
But they helped heal me, with love, beauty, that Your empty words caused me to feel,
I know now that I have to believe in myself, because trust, honesty, arent really your thing...

Living Lavishly Or Sparingly

Rich people can afford to live lavishly,
squandenring money like it werent a commodity;
ordinary folks must make ends meet,
even worrying about the food they eat!

Wealth moguls like Trump or Gates
can purchase the Empire State Building,
and see their names in the Entrepreneur or Money magazine...
while we dispute those outrageous credit card rates!

Since Caesar imposed taxes on the Roman Empire,
freedom to spend,at will, has been reduced by desire;
now Uncle Sam is the new emperor demanding his tribute,
woe to us if we declared ourselves immune!

Republicans and Democrats are divided on one issue:
the Iraq's war on terrorism and its credibility not so true;
while Bush's voice echoes throughout the White House' walls..
a President's courage shown in formidable ways!

The music and art world are giving in frivolity,
creating works that are insignificant and full of obscenity;
can the Human Race excel as it did yesterday...
who will step forward and stop all this insanity?

Living lavishly is only shared by the lucky ones
who are defined by abundance and inheritance,
but living sparingly is based on sacrifice and endurance...
learning those thrifty tactics and live within limits!

Laughter

Just as you did yesteryear
I wish I could cut you out
I now know a life without
You doesn't go into high gear

I gnawed your flesh away
While you demanded a refund
On my life it had me stunned
Not your angel you say

Well my thousand eyes opened
To see I came from marred flesh
So why expect my hide to be fresh
Its leathery but your hope and

Strife was felt regardless
What could this demon have been
If it ever were your kin
If you werent so heartless

Being who I am is my fault
You say you tried and failed
That my ship has long sailed
And I cannot ask it to halt

Left at shore to rip and tear
At the skin that brands me
Losing my tears in the roiling sea
Begging you to spare

Me the cruelty of your words
Of your look it burns
Please it hurts

Where is our history
Where are the memories
The shrill melodies
Where is my misery

It's gone but left grooves
In the mud of my skin
Whats left to do but grin
As you trample me with hooves

As you bite with fangs
You always had but deny
For no angel in the sky
Digs their teeth in lambs

Left for slaughter
Only sinking into beasts
Killing reserved for higher seats
And here I die to your laughter

Even after you've gone

Destiny Aligned

The day that we met
It seemed our fates werent to be together
Because i was in a mess
With someone that threw me away after using me
Then leaving me for death
Things being the same as before i felt like a used,
 Heartbroken and battered door..
Until our destiny aligned
And we both saw the flawlessness in what we grew together over the course of our heartache and time

Like two plants, I see a vision of use growing together firmly planted and intertwined together, never to leave eachothers sides
Even through the storms that blow through and try and pull us up as we branch together and hold tight
Never will i leave your side boo
Never. Not until the end of time
Until everything ceases its rhyme
I will not leave you behind..because you are forever mine
And il let it shine for all to see through there own eyes

Premium Member If I Werent Afraid

I arrived without clothes or fears at birth
but wore both within one year on earth;
in a crib, my self-esteem doubt blistered.

Since my initial vocal and mobile phase,
I played avoidance to eliminate critical
corrections that felt like imbecile rejections.
For two decades my fears fed anxieties
over disciplined, quick tempered males who
like my dedicated paternal man, could voice
wither my core sheaves in ‘less than’ wisps.
It took fifty rough years of soul aviation,
plus my faith’s aimed navigation thru
brutal life trajectories, to remind me
I have always been the perfect me blend.
Just here ‘till home again and fear’s but
an acronym: ‘false evidence appearing real.’

I am uniquely valuable, confident enabled
and I daily fear shed but, well – maybe I
should pen about bungee jumping instead?

Values

I always tried to stay away
from things that would make me stray
like smoking, drugs and alcohol
so I could stand proud and tall
peer pressure I did not give into
just to earn a friend or two
I made a promise through the years
to always keep my values clear
teach children to love and not hate
so they can walk a path thats straight
and not grow up like others do
who never have a single clue
what is right and what is wrong
becuase they werent taught to be strong
when situations come around
that build them up or knock them down
dont spread rumors about people
when you know that its not real
kindness goes a long long way
if you use it every day

Ghoulish Monster's Night

Walking in the dark ghostly night
During the black stillness of twilight
Into the forest of superstitious fear
Burning eyes through you do sear

A fuliginous mist hung in the air
Obscured things that werent there
Atmosphere held a sinister feel
Fueling fears how will you deal

Secrets held on this eves hallow
Bodies hid in graves so shallow
Sending through you such chills
Behind the spooky haunted hills

When you hear a thumping sound
Jumping in fright you turn around
Thinking this could be your ending
Doomed feelings now are pending

Screeching screams of night owls
Werewolves deep guttural growls
Make your skin feel it's crawling
Leaving you there standing bawling

~No one escape from life alive you see~
So stay at home and you'll be free
~Even the dead tell stories of fright~
On this Ghoulish monsters night
