À propos preponderent passion penning poems...
posited puzzling apt aperçu...
While pondering particular
theme to address
amidst tangled webbed mental skein
today November third
two thousand nineteen,
unexpected Möbius strip
tease conundrum unforeseen,
yet as avid aspiring scrivener
only now I became keen,
which theoretical, rhetorical,
philosophical... predicament
may not suddenly find me
flush with green
i.e. profuse legal tender,
but merely thought provoking
puzzlement addresses following quandary
stuck within gray matter of pate
impossible mission to differentiate
jagged fine line between
passion and obsession
case in point strong
affinity to write of late,
cuz yours truly susceptible
toward compulsion that doth not abate,
and mind boggling to wed healthy
love of language analogous as mate
nsync with psychological trait,
viz excessive compulsion
diagnosed years gone
by courtesy professional
mental health specialists, did annotate,
and I admit behavior impossible to satiate,
thus generating aforementioned query
how does one (me) segregate
productive interest versus excessive,
née fanatical all consuming - I narrate
oft times burning midnight oil
(albeit figurative alluded
to mister Arson Wells) witness
as logophile doth painstakingly toil
bajillion cerebral threads to uncoil,
whereby utilizing figurative tweezers
uprooting, untangling rhyme I embroil
(even using Scooby Doo conditioner)
metaphorically beneath mine royal
hirsute (Scottish) matted topsoil
ultimately bringing in top gun
uncannily resembling gargoyle
shape shifting between pop eye
at lightspeed as if
greased with olive oyl
so watch out Bluto,
get ready for turmoil!
Loud guttural roar filled Steamboat Convention Hall
Stovetop hats rose up higher, and most were already tall.
The tiger made his entry with a loud snarl and a pounce.
Watch out! Someone yelled. I think this creature can bounce.
We ran out of the way, as fast as heavily-dressed convention goers can.
Tiger made a bounding leap and soon was shaking a trembling old man.
Don’t eat him! A girl in a pretty petticoat with a corset yelled out.
He gulped him down, after shaking him up, down and all about.
We did not see any blood, for the tiger ate every drop that he could.
I was running as fast as my legs would on this double treated oak wood.
The tiger was gaining on me, I could feel his breath on my neck.
I fell out of bed before I was eaten and I said “What the heck?”
Through the web all night and day
Sheep do graze and wolves do prey.
Like cats and dogs we go astray
Searching the Path to Love freeway.
Torsos, faces, muscles, eyes,
Vivid, blurry, bold or shy.
When delete and when reply?
What’s the truth and what's the lie?
So I click and go around,
Scrolling up and scrolling down,
Being either fox or hound,
Feeling rather lost than found.
Shrug or sigh and start again
Browsing through all different men.
Guess it takes more than a click
To find what’s behind the pic.
Shouldn’t I just laugh and chill,
Submit to dating site windmill?
Relax, enjoy and here I find
The perfect grain, the finest grind.
Watch out: don’t fall in love online!
What’s written sounds smooth and fine.
But then you meet and “What the Heck!”
She is Fiona, He is Shrek!
I like my driftwood,
I like my glue.
I like my craft room
And making something new
The room keeps getting fuller,
There never is enough.
Watch out you don't trip
Over any of that stuff.
Once it all fit in totes,
Maybe just three or four.
Now its dozens of totes and boxes
Covering the floor.
I can't control the need
To keep collecting more and more
And if I don't stop adding
I won't be able to see the floor.
There are labeled totes and boxes
So I know just what's in each,
But now they're stacked so high
They are mostly out of reach.
I think I have a problem,
I don't gamble and don't drink,
But these crafts are my obsession.
I need an intervention, don't you think?
You have to be careful with magic her mother told Mixy Mix.
How careful could she be? She was a child, two days past six.
Mixy was enthusiastic about her fabulific magic spells for sure.
They were notorious for doing something new, never completely pure.
Yesterday she conjured a dragon, today it was a three-headed moose.
When her wand comes out her mother shouts “Watch out Mixy is loose!”
Tomorrow I shall bring forth a unicorn with pink and purple hair she said.
Unicorn in her imagination realm snorted, and tossed his ribbon head.
Where is Daddy? Mommy asked her, two seconds after supper was over.
Mixy's little potion had transmogrified him. He now barks like Rover.
Told you to be careful, her mother reminded her, staring at her guilty face.
Mixy kept her thoughts to herself, praying she might have some grace.
Mixy’s brother has been gone for a fortnight and a half at least.
The great part about this is, he made a dandy terrifying beast.
Turn me into a dragon, grandma dared Mixy, when she came to babysit.
So Mixy did, but could not change her back, so her parents threw a fit.
Springtime on the ranch is just round the bend
You’ll get your nose cleared, we have cows and pigs
The thaw brings forth chores, that smell and offend
Rubber boots and gloves are now our new digs
As the snow melts, we are left with a moat
Springtime is here with its bag full of tricks
It’s sour and slick, so just clear your throat
The thistles now grow so watch out for pricks
The air never smells like sugar and spice
Out in the birch, there grows fly agaric
It deters the skunk, encrusted with lice
This mushroom will make, all feel lethargic
A blend of toadstool and garlic I’m told
Will stop puffy butt from reaching our fold
Yes I'm a metal head
Yes I write poetry
Yes this is the general concept of my story
And yes I'm usually hunky dory
Booming cords from the electric guitar
Echoing in my mind, heart racing faster than a flying car
Static it is to others,
It speaks to me softer than a sweet lover
As I write this very poem
I'm blasting metal from jvc headphones
Listening to instrumental metal,
Letting me fill in the words as my mind settles
I can still be sensitive and still enjoy headbanging
Just watch out for my long brown hair when it starts swinging
Music so loud my ears start ringing
But i don't care as long as my heart keeps singing
I live in a state shaped by glaciers long ago
In the middle of the heat, we want it to snow
The breadwinner of many homes is what we grow
Here comes another winter, around forty below
Watch out for black ice roads wherever you go
Summer is six months away, yep, don't ya know
Melting snow makes for one big old muddy hole
Changing seasons so often, a backcountry expo
Minnesota fearing Green Bay Packers on a roll
Wilderness found up north, catch it on a pole
Mississippi flowing to its west into the soul
Universities preparing us, system educational
Wisconsinites moving forward on our loam soil
Architectonics with Frank, ingenuity and toil
Hydroelectrical powered first on the Fox flow
Conservationists residing, protecting fallows
Sesquicentennials of livestock, corn in silos
Characteristically unique, breadbasket tempos
The moon is wickedly bright
It’s a miserable incredible wonderful luminous sight
As it shines through my window
Filling the room with its sensationalbe light
I can’t help but drift off with my sad thoughts
Thinking I may never have
That one special person in which to share this with
All these thoughts seem to do nothing but plague my mind
And within myself is where I get lost inside
Sit, think and while I’m out in the open, really I still hide
I have many people in which to confide
But that don’t give me that one to have and hold right here by my side
I have many people that very much loves me
Yet I don’t have that one for to while holding my heart
Can also set it free
I try to overcome what goes on in my head
I try to put it to rest as I lay in my bed
But no matter what they are still always there
Saying to me better watch out and you need to beware
You’re nothing but meant to be alone for the rest of your days
But my heart seems to have other plans
As my head is set in its ways
But then again one can always still dream, hope, and pray
That somehow, someway
He will soon be coming my way

Listen carefully, son, and avoid despair.
When you require me, I'm just there.
And trust me if you've secrets to share.
Allow your heart to rejoice and dare.
No matter what, I will hold your hand.
Believe my behest, by your side will stand.
Find solace, and don't stop to expand.
I am your light, ergo walk in my land.
Trust God with all your worldly concern
Obscure concepts are useless to learn
Love is a gift you earn and must return.
Even if you obtain one full of wilting fern
Coming to you, I shall establish my abode.
Making heed of all the utterances I've told.
The bounty I exhibit I will never withhold.
They're beyond valuable than silver or gold.
Lean on, believe in, and heed my word.
None will bar me from breaking wall's world.
Into the appropriate route, you are hurled.
While heartbeats or fire smoke is curled,
