Standing alone in an incredible darkness
Tears are falling like it’s so sad ending
Hoping that everything’s gonna change
Coz fears and hopes are so much breaks
Things can’t all be so the same
If I have a chance to undo my past
Tears won’t fall like it’s not gonna last
Hoping that everything’s gonna last
Coz fears and hopes are so much breaks
We can never be the same
Coz you left me in a gentle good night!
Coz you gave me a saddest bright light.
Coz you weren’t here for so many years
Oh father I will be okay! And I will stand on my way,
Though it’s gonna rain…
If we could go back to our past
I’ll choose our memories that were the best
Hoping that everything’s gonna change
Coz fears and hopes are so much breaks
Things can’t all be so the same
Coz you left me in a gentle good night!
Coz you gave me a saddest bright light.
Coz you weren’t here for so many years
Oh father I will be okay!
And I will stand on my way,
Though it’s gonna rain…
Standing alone…
Standing and waiting for you to come
Coz where are you now?
I am missing you so…
Coz you left me in a gentle good night!
Coz you gave me a saddest bright light.
Coz you weren’t here for so many years
Oh father I will be okay! And I will stand on my way,
Though it’s gonna rain…
I'll be okay...
A New Year, soon we'll spend,
Because this one will end.
Christmas will leave with cheer-
Direct us to next year;
Engaging us to then
Find ways to start again.
Get fresh, blank pages to
Have time to regroup, do
Ideal plans on hold-
Just could not start- unfold.
Kindled days reborn,
Leave past excuses torn.
Make way for fresher thought-
New outcomes to be sought
Offering great ways-
Pursuing fuller days.
Questions- no or yes
Resolves what to address.
Solve errors from the past;
Turn to outcomes that last.
Undo what makes us sad-
Voice those that make us glad.
With future choices made,
X-out the ones that fade.
Yes! New Year's plans will give
Zest-filled days to live.
Thoughts meander,
Crisp packets caught in a tree.
Memories stick.
I don't want to keep them,
They cling to me.
I sit alone,
A gasp in a vacuum,
A scream in space.
Sifting a desert,
I float above your heads,
unseen.
But I guess that’s how it goes
No one sees me till it snows.
A train explodes from a tunnel.
I am defined
In a rush of steel and glass.
Fleeting form, negative stain
Macabre cartoon ,
Flicked through windows
Of a passing train.
Subterranean solitude,
Captured on the tube.
Undo me,
I must dissolve again
Into the black hollow waters
Of anonymity.
A stone thrown into silence
Breaks the waters skin.
Embraced by a smile
From a passing stranger,
Love ripples from the centre.
I am connected to the whole.
I have spirit, I have soul.
Not some human aberration
But a part of God's creation
Breathe, inhale,
I will not drown.
Freedom to believe,
To hope, to conceive
Of a brighter day
A better way.
It’s the last of the snow
Spring finally arrived
Time to get ready for battle
Time to get my little hands
On my bag of marbles
Way up there since winter
Abandoned on my bookshelf
A droopy, limp blue velvet bag
But today a long lost friend
So proud, so bold and so bright
Protector of my priceless collection
Glass and steel weapons of rolling destruction
I undo the golden drawstring
Close my eyes and reach into the dark
Cloister of clicking clacking spheres
They run through my fingers
Feeling better than gold through a miser’s hands
Aggies, immies, cats eyes, steelies
and the most dangerous, mibs
Big fat bully marbles capable of
Knocking all of the competition
Johnnie had better watch out this year
Last year’s champ
Johnnie’d been lucky
A shark, wincing his good eye and
Whack, all the marbles dispersed
With brutal force they would fly
Like a big exploding rainbow
Fragments scattered on the ground
Crushing… yet really awesome
When he pulled out his mib
We knew we were done
But this year will be different
This year I’m more determined
Practiced each move in my head
Like a general devising his attack
Spit shined alleys, aggies,
Jumbos, glass ones ready for action
Aggies, my luckiest by far
Leaving for school full of schemes and ploys
On the way defiantly sizing up opponents
Eyeing the size of the enemies’ arsenal
Running fingers through mine
Challenging anyone carrying a loot
We had watched the yard for days
Barely contained our determination
The last of the snow clung stubbornly to school walls
Dry patches would proclaim the official opening day
Our first spring tournament could begin
And today is the day we all know it
Recess rings, doors open; “Hooray”
Is all we hear across the dried yard
As groups knuckle down to play for keepsies
Winners keepers, losers weepers
Hear that chittery clickety click clack melody
Johnnie is there full of snickering confidence
So sure he can perpetuate his reign
But he doesn't know how hard I’ve practiced
How much I want to earn his loot
Crush him and any other rival
Who dares to show off
Ready
Get set
Aim just perfectly right

Undo utopia no more...say no more...silence is what I hear only...I am the shadow and the lonely...I am not of this world...
Never-ending happy ever afters
Wretchedness warped me up in wicked wellness and I splash in wandering wishing wells
Ragged as a rag doll and radiant as a rose
Adoration is glowing and glimmering like a whirlpool of reminiscent light
Pour forth your passion upon me pleasantly
YOLO to this world of wretchedness and wondrous wickedness of woes, trickling down our toes of I-don’t-know’s
Own the night tonight and blossom bright with delight and might
Ugliness will turn to blissfulness
Really damaged in remedyless remnant of lies and I wish away your goodbyes...the truth will farewell your tribulation and its sensation
When will you love me?
I don’t see possibly and will never see it as a possibility...the opportunity of this life has faded into view...because I adore you
Now, you know me and how I can disappear your fear in your horrid, yet hopeful heart of shattered stone and all-alone-and-on-your-own
Gingerly grabbing a hold of my lovely, lamentable life...cutting away epic strife...on my wrists of blood...misunderstood and suicidal and God, be with me through and through...who knew I would be this poor in spirit and lose all my wit...bit by bit, I sit down in emptiness...succumb to the dumb and numb inside me...free me sincerely...
Serenity has wings like butterflies out of ribcages...roaming around in many kinds of rages and letting go of corruption’s clever cages...wear a brave face and embrace grace...
Remnants of passion littered on the ground,
Drops of blood from the lips of hounds.
Running might save you,
But the door’s locked,
And your soul’s frostbitten.
Recall-
The ache to leave.
There’s a standstill. A hush,
Before you dash.
The longing won’t be sealed,
And you’ll think it’s your chance
To fly, to flee, to be.
But you can’t unclip these wings,
You can’t undo these manacles.
You fly in circles
Over charred lands.
Watching fragments of hope
drift in quiet winds.
There are remnants of dreams scattered on the ground,
A deflated ball of hope.
You look in your hand
And find you’re holding scissors.

God, grant me serenity, to face the I can’t undo,
Death took my mother, ripped my world in two.
Dreams collapse, careers on hold,
Life feels ruthless, bitter, cold.
Some battles are lost before they start,
They carve their scars deep in the heart.
I can’t fix corpses, can’t rewrite the past,
So teach me to drop the chains that hold fast.
Grant me courage, raw and loud,
To stand my ground, to make you proud.
When fear says “quit,” I’ll scream “ no,”
When failure laughs, I’ll still let it go.
Give me the guts to forgive and fight,
To burn through darkness, to chase the light.
To knock on doors when others slam,
To rise again, no matter who I am.
Grant me wisdom, sharp and clear,
To know when to walk, when to persevere.
To see when silence speaks more than rage,
To trust the lesson, to turn the page.
Life’s a bastard, it kicks you down,
Steals your peace, makes you drown.
But I won’t let pain write my fate,
I’ll spit in its face, I’ll stand up straight.
Even with hands that shake, I’ll build,
Even with wounds that bleed, I’m willed.
Even with futures blurred, I’ll stride,
Because courage is moving while fear collides.
Faith ain’t pretty, it’s scarred and raw,
It’s finding meaning in life’s damn flaw.
So I’ll surrender what I can’t control,
And fight like hell with a ruthless soul.
Life may be brutal, sharp, and rough,
But so am I I’m ing tough.
There was a time when helping people was an easy thing to do,
The right thing to do,
Now we ponder to do or not to do,
And ask ourselves will it backfire on us if we if we do.
There was at time when rolling up your sleeves was all one had to do,
If helping was what we decided to do,
Now there is so much more to do,
Before helping we can start to do.
What will opening that gate do?
And if we do,
What will the dog do?
Have we got enough insurance to do what we would like to do?
And will the help do,
What we think it will do,
Or will free drugs, it all undo.
Then there is the question, how long should we take to decide what to do,
Before the clock decides there is nothing for us to do.
The Game
Birth records the starting line
of an undefined span of time.
Unprepared for a life unknown.
You seek to fit and be the same
despite uniqueness you proclaim.
Dice your own, you begin the game.
The players all just come and go,
most estranged but some you know.
All so different, yet the same.
Unaware that life's a chance
at choices made on circumstance.
moves are made, in the game.
You learn to believe you're in control
yet seek for peace within your soul,
conflicted through the weight of pain.
Recognition and paths of pride
cloud the love you keep inside.
Justified, you play the game.
Things may not be what you thought
depending on the lies you bought.
Bridges burned and little gained.
You can't undo the things you've done.
Was it worth the the prize you won?
Baggage claimed,on with the game.
The road ahead is not so long.
Looking back you wrote a song.
Will anybody sing your name?
Was your claim to fame a comfort such,
it was with love, the lives you touched?
You chose the way you played the game!

Each week I sit in therapy
I aim to be a better me
So I tune out the therapist
And self psychoanalyze.
I think hmm, I might be mean
Am I self-absorbed?
A narcissist perhaps?
Or an a**hole in relapse?
Is it just anxiety?
I think I might have OCD
But I might just like to organize.
If I’m a good person do I win a prize?
I don’t believe in hell
Which is really just as well
Cause I don’t think I’m good enough
And purgatory would be rough.
Let me pick a part my brain
Am I genius or am I insane
I think this trauma’s from my mom
Mental gymnastics is much more fun!
If I can pinch and I can tweak
Fix all my problems by next week
Everything would all be great!
So let’s go in with scalpel
And a little bit of glue
And everything wrong with my brain
We’ll kindly undo.
