America as we know it
Was hit with a terrible blow
Death and destruction was a new low
The terrorist striked
With a strong force of hate
They used all their tricks
To open up the gate
The gate to America
They plotted and planned
Sneaked and watched
Joining together for an all out march
Hitting us hard where it hurt the most
Destroying our economy
Laughing with boast
Boasting and mocking us, jumping with joy
Playing with us, just like a toy
Our twin towels laid in rubble
They bust those towles, just like a bubble
Back then, so many lives were destroyed
What can we do now, oh boy, oh boy
Ghost hiding in the
House, Playing tricks and making noise
On the
Staircase walking up and down, activating them,
Toys.
Laughing crying, screaming
Yelling, knocking on the doors.
Evil and good, dark and light shining on the floors.
Never knowing what to expect on
Countless endless nights,
On the water in the woods they take great delight.
Under branches on their stones, buried in there graves,
No one can imagine the energy that
They crave.
Endless dreams of them visiting, loved ones from the past,
Remembering them is easy to do but dreams they never last.
Someday we will be a ghost, a spirit in the night, screaming yelling telling stories
Shining down our light.
I say the word and feign a Freudian slip
From between its legs duplicities drip
Often doubling as a quip and tasting chalky, just a bit
History will record the troubling truth
that I never existed if I don’t submit
I’ll submit this thing as if it’s a soliloquy
while being transparent with reverse psychology
When transparency is brutal it packs a voice
and reverse psychology, feudal and conundrous
remains my voodoo doll of sadistic choice
I’ll submit to this contest and play my part
of being a number somewhere south of the winners art
Once again I’ll suck up to the system
and once again with all its heart the system will suck me down
without even a gesture of orbiter dictum
A social mirror once said, “we love you, submit to me”
I used to show it what I wish I could really be
but it cared more for its own scripted ego
and tried to love me like a gas-lighting lover
so I gave it the finger more than ten years ago
I’ve been told that only the cream earns Summa Cum Laude
I graduated Some Come Later from the hallows of a Christian god
So how should I wear the facade upon this stage?
I shouldn’t use “dude”, nor cliched kitsch like I just did
But I’ll not to be sullied by a tired script from a mirror’s page
Yet for the scripted glory this poet pines
He rolls his eyes at the rules, and colors colors outside the lines
Prismatic angles he declines and spanks his colors with twisted sticks
With blinding tinnitus in his transient sight he thus surrenders
and submits (to) his magniloquentesque amateur parlor tricks
Earth to novice poet... Dude, submitting is not as painful as it seems
Novice poet to Earth… No Dude, you know when falls the silent tree
I hear poetic voices but my poetic choices have disqualified me, so
this is my last reverse transmission into my pathetic poetic pipe dreams
Thank you kindly. No offense but I should just go
Being in love with you is like being in a tornado,
Where you cannot stop it, so you hold on and enjoy,
Wondering how soon it will toss you into Forever-land.
Being in love with you is joyous, and wonderful.
You turn my way, and I see the way you look at me.
Like a man who has received a five hundred dollar bonus.
Being in love with you is as lovely as painting twilight with
Magic paints that twinkle and glimmer with purpose, love, and truth.
Being in love with you keeps me half mad with lust. When I look
Into your eyes, I do not see my seasoned husband, I see the seventeen
Year old who thought up all kinds of tricks to entice me to marry him.
Being in love with you is the first thought I have in the morning and
The first thought I have in the evening.
If that ever changes, I will be honest enough to let you know and let
You go, so someone else has the opportunity to be in love with you.
I would never want to keep you from her, for I love you that much, my love.
Paradise is loving you, and this includes wanting you to always have bliss
Even if the bliss does not include me,
as I know you would selflessly honor me by wanting the
Same courtesy for me.
All the best, my Valentine.
I am so glad we both found our soulmate.

Ill-tempered Elfin Queen, would bully
and demean everyone she'd see
an unruly brat
nasty tricks thought daily that
when on her throne she sat sadly
She had to force her head in a sack
precaution she must engage to hold back
to gaze in a looking glass
so she could surpass
or the magical mirror would crack
Casting curses became her fame
enticing elf’s was her daily game
maidens that were shrouded
and barren were allowed
in her kingdom was her aim
But to her shocking surprise
all of their bellies begin to rise
the Elfin Queen was livid
she had been smarted
was blinded and they criticize
For she hadn’t for saw that right
when the sun goes down and the lights
go out humans are smart
love comes only from the heart
beauty is only skin deep, that brings sight

Do not be concerned if you don't understand this because you have not played double deck pinochle before. The politicians who are running have the same problem. If you care, you can learn more about the game and the politicians so at least you can play without looking ignorant.
Double Deck Pinochle

Double deck pinocle
So many cards dealt
My mind in a quandary
I think it will melt
More cards in our hands
Too many to hold
Maybe more coming
If was poker I'd fold
Must follow suit
When the cards are first played
The highest one wins
When the last one is laid
When out of a suit
Avoid a kick in the rump
Start taking tricks
By playing a trump
This is my view
Of the political scene
To me a big joke
Don't like to be mean
Don't think they are serious
Just playing a game
No clue how to play
But that's why they came
RELEASE ME
I was cursed by some old witch
Saying, ‘Life’s a and then you die’
Now tell me why, be honest please
Just don’t tease, share the cold facts
She left no tracks and disappeared
It is weird, but I must understand
This was not planned, I don’t think
Now on the brink of a strange spell
I’m scared as hell, and taken aback
What I now lack is an explanation
An aberration of some natural law
Tell it raw, with no weasel words
There may be nerds who can explain
Once again, rid me of this curse
Recite some verse or wave a wand
It is beyond most people’s skills
Clouded hills are what I now see
So pity me, as I may be doomed
We all assumed it was a blessing
But messing with me was her intent
I do resent such an evil imposition
My vision is already fading fast
At last, can someone apply a fix
No more tricks, just release me

I awoke one morning
It was incredibly bright
I drew back the curtains
To a most amazing sight
It was like we had two suns
Orange orbs, floating in the sky
The heat that was being emitted
I felt the atmosphere dry
I turned on the TV
It must be on the news
From where i stand
Surely I'm not the only view
Is it a phenomenon
Or nature playing her tricks
The camera crews are at NASA
Lets see what they make of it
Deep in outer space
An explosion we can't comprehend
Has sent a massive meteor
To our moon it's journey ends
Our world is now in peril
The Moon held us stable
Can us scientists do something
I'm not sure we are able
There will never be many times
When the whole world stopped and stared
But this is one of those times
We have every right to be scared

Vistas of autumnal flame set the fiery meadows afire
Where song of the winds wheezes in auburn breeze
And gold, red, brown whispers kindle tunes of a lyre
Rustling in cool air, melodies of leaves, falling from trees
Where song of the winds wheezes in auburn breeze
Pumpkin dreams meet to greet tricks of Halloween treat
Rustling in cool air, melodies of leaves, falling from trees
As carpets of crimson colors crunch beneath eager feet
Pumpkin dreams meet to greet tricks of Halloween treat
And gold, red, brown whispers kindle tunes of a lyre
As carpets of crimson colors crunch beneath eager feet,
Vistas of autumnal flame set the fiery meadows afire

I met this rabbit on my morning walk…two months ago…near as I recollect…
He was sitting in the center of where two roads intersect.
I said, “Good morning, little rabbit. Isn’t it a pretty morning? How are you?”
Little rabbit did not answer…but then…rabbits seldom do.
But neither did he hop away…he just watched me walk on by…
I remember thinking…that was odd…and pausing to wonder why.
The next day…the same scenario….if my memory is correct…
the two of us met up again where the two roads intersect.
This became our normal routine…I’d greet him…walk by…he wouldn’t’ flee…
until…one day…without notice…he began to hop along with me.
Sometimes he’d hop beside me on the street…sometimes on people’s lawns instead…but, realizing I walked too slow…he often hopped ahead.
We’d walk and hop together to the end of the street and I don’t know the reason why…
it was here he’d stop…look up at me…as if to say goodbye.
The other morning, as had become our routine, I saw him up ahead…but much to my surprise…as I neared the spot we’d meet…little rabbit faded from my eyes.
Were the street lights and shadows playing tricks on me…bewildering my eyes…
or was that the ghost of little rabbit stopping by to say goodbye?
All I know is from that moment…I remember exactly where and when…
Little rabbit’s not been back to hop with me again.
I take this as a reminder to cherish our friendships every minute of every day…
because we never know in this ever-changing world when they may fade away.
And though I know ours was a short friendship…
I still miss him…
and in retrospect…
I shall always cherish a friendship made…
where two roads intersect.
