God Is....

"Color me red" this he did say
                                                  This is Satan and you must obey

                                                  The call of the wild for is it ok?

                                                  Who cares as I destroy the day

                                                  The red you color is from your vein

                                                  The ink that spilled from ever shame

                                                  You raped a child in the name of me

                                                  You will now suffer ever in eternity

I feel the words escape from your dying breath, "Please Lord dont take it out with
a noose around my neck"

For if you kill me you kill your religion, I promise you, if this noose falls through
the gallow then I will trek

I will find your kind in the after life, even if it down in the basement with your wife, I
will come and get you

You're the one who told me so, created my mind to enlist your blow, is this a
reason you are telling me?

That I must not fight but run away in flee? I'm a coward like you, you see, I die for I
believe in your creed

                                                 "My son you are not one of mine

                                                  I enlist your soul to preach my kind

                                                 You create your own from words of mine

                                                 Now rot in hell for the breach of time

                                                 And conjur a smell to remember your lie

                                                 Befriend your mind as you are left to die

                                                 Alone as you wish for your wish is a cry

                                                You are no longer a part of my embassy

                                                Trade your wings for the treatory that be

                                                For a mask supposed to look like me

                                                Horns for you stab at your constant envy

                                                Dont you ever compare you with thee

                                                For are weak and f&ck all that you percieve

History Rising from the Sea

Treasure from the sea
Golden doubloon
Sixteenth century artifact
By ancestors hewn

Earth's history lays buried
Beneath five oceans
As undersea tremors
Create violent commotions

Freeing from Spanish galleons
Precious metals, gemstones,
To greet early beachcombers
History on loan

Memories of bygone ages
Scattered on the sand
Finally kissed by sun again
While in a searcher's hand

I pursue this morning trek
With Atlantis on my mind
Seeking proof at last
In treasures I might find

When ancient civilations
Seem to disappear
Comb the beach, you might find
The evidence is here

For from a phoenix rising
New finds appear each day
And I'll not stop searching
Till doubts I can allay

Caroline and I shared of love of water - she the ocean and I lakes and Puget Sound. Her poems flow like tides - effortlessly - with bits of wisdom scattered like treasures of seashells or driftwood found on the beach. This poem speaks of our mutual love of beachcombing for treasures and the pondering of history brought to mind by life's flotsam.

The poem below represents my tribute to Carolyn.

Girl on a Dolphin

Stargazing ocean pixie
Rides the playful weathered waves
To surf the ocean tides
With laughing dolphins
Leaps to catch Delphinus
Starfarer in a star bound chrysalis
To ride this five star celestial constellation
On heaven sent lapis astral waters
Wearing moonstones like Apollo’s poetry
Where starry Aquila flies to Lyra’s music.

Salt spattered waves only gaze
At a girl – eternal sea sprite –
That sits atop a stellar dolphin
And feels the shell torn loss
Of feet that danced through tidal pools,
Delight and awe surging through her signature,
As time bound day searches midnight legends
To align in twinkling sidereal day –
A quest for remnant memories in verses
Of a star born spirit – girl riding on a dolphin.

The constellation Delphinus is made up of five stars and can be seen between the constellations of Aquila, the Eagle, and Lyra, the Lyre. It is named for two Greek legends based on dolphins one of which tells of Apollo setting a dolphin in the sky in gratitude for saving the Greek poet Arion. Apollo is the god of music and poetry.

Quote "Without birth and death, and without the perpetual transmutation of all the forms of life, the world would be static, rhythm-less, undancing, mummified." Alan Watts

              ________________________________________

“we woke up early one morn, ego shorn
it felt as though we were in form reborn
nodes within stirred, boundaries blurred
our head and heart, with love concurred”

I deploy discursive divine depiction as a guide.
A gateway to Genesis, where it takes its side.
Unbridled and untamed, my voice may rise.
I pursued knowledge out of pure surprise.

Low-frequency vibes induce a shift in shape.
Scarcity leads to transmutation, of spare scape.
Alchemists transmute leads to sacred gold.
Metal sheds its genius luster in the kiln hold.

I waltz freely with doom in the gloom.
I inhale oxygen to marvel at life's bloom.
I endure steps yet disappear in the dream.
Structure is unaffected by the skill stream.

Love is my soul—my reason for existence.
Living in lavish love is a lifelong vow of diligence.
A mind, weaved with such insight, was so warm.
I flaunt my firm frame in this fabulous form.

When you are feeling opulent and egotistical.
Those who are dominant were miscible.
Departure might induce an unfillable hole.
Descry a suitable way to purify your soul.

There are ecstatic and tragic days, love and hate.
No matter how tough we strive, this will be our fate.
Note how sporadic and fleeting life is; spot the stride.
Our days of tribulation bruised our noble pride!

Rather than succumbing to hatred and rage.
Turning negative into a rising trend of assuage
Let trust and troth tackle tricks and malicious
Such a restrained demeanor is truly auspicious.

Within, most consensus spans are wide.
It's all whim; scatter love and watch it glide.
Trust your scintilla—trek to the boundless sea.
We may all profit from sowing wisdom trees.

Conquered the most-dubbed landmass on Earth.
And yearning to discover raw levels of worth!
Death, then delirious with deceit, drove his life.
A wicked beast embedded himself in strife!

A susurrus sparkle to the shimmering love.
Enhances adieu strut below the moon above.
Breeze says, "Love on, my dear, and dance."
Across the trees, a gentle man's glance.

The Footfalls Towards Forever - Part 2 of 3

… On The Gist of Where A Gather Melts Hate’s Glacier
On The Nexus of Need & Knowing True Love’s Nature
On The Passage of Innocence To Please Forgive Us Prayers
On The Way To Meet Wide Open Arms of Our Maker
On Edge of Evening and Eden’s Promised Favors …

stretched The Trail of Soft Footfalls Towards Forever …

There Lay A Storm-Tossed Loch Between The Rifts
A Charcoal Sky That Seemed Heavy & Propped By Stilts
She Was At The Limits of Her ‘All That She Could Do Lists’
She Was On The Verge of Vanishing Into Vanity’s Myths
While Searching Between Urgency and An Internal Eclipse

… ventured the Interim of Soft Footfalls Towards Forever

She Took One Last Stiff ‘Uisge Beatha’ Spirit-Sip To Lips
She Heard The Last, Lone Note of A Bagpipe’s-Signal, Lilt
Envisioned The Strong Stance & Clan Colors of His Kilt
and The Rich-Hued-Tow Head, Which Shone Like Gilt …

 as He Strode The Soft Footfalls Towards Forever …
(Her Eyes Closed But Her Course Kept At Canter)

Eyes Closed … Tho’ That’s Not Why It Had Gone Black
She Can Nay See How To Finish Thru To Their Trek-Pact
She Must Rest On A Narrow, Not-Well-Beaten Path
Will He Cover The Distance From What Her Last Legs Lack?
… Even If She Has Stopped & Dropped Dead In Her Tracks
Will He Come To Find and Bring Her Unfalteringly Back? …

from Earth-Packed, Soft Footfalls Towards Forever?
Her Eyes Closed, But True Love’s In-Sight, Closes Never

He Found Her, Eyes Closed … Swollen, Squeezed Into Slits
He Saw The Puffed Flesh Where The Poison Had Been Spit
He Saw Her and Traced The Tears She’d Held Back Then Spilt
Saw Her Lovely Face Framed By Curly Dark-Red, Wet-Wisps
& Finger-Nail Marks Where Her Hands Clenched Into Wee Fists …

Formed & Fashioned Her Soft Footfalls Towards Forever …
(His Bonny Lass, Woven In His Tartan & Tam’s Token Feather)

He Saw The Emerald Heirloom Wrapped Around Her Wrists
But He’d Not See In This World, Her Twin Sparkles, Again A–Glist’
His Own Eyes Became Mirrors of A Flooded Dam That Split
He Took On The Burden That She Had Endured This Tryst
Yet He Could Not Bear The Thought of Her Feeling A–Jilt
As He Carried Her Where Clouds Covered Them Like Quilts
 Each Sorrowed Step & Stone & Step Spanned Breach & Breath & Built …

the Bridge That Balances & Blankets: Footfalls Towards Forever …

Steel Sharpened Spurs

Endurance is not of your nature,
Solidity glides in wavering motions upon my pitiful neck,
Now brazen silver does linger,
Trite lance, ravenous knife does make one last,
Sorrowful trek...

I know you'll adore each compassioned endeavor,
And your canvas lay pared, splayed and sculpted tissue.

You've rendered such precious jet-black clouds...
They drape their vile vined misted shrouds...

Within my gray eyed gaze,
Such hues temper your violent palette...
Vanished breath-flickered candle haze.

Lifeless wick, gurgling crimson wax.
Your beloved paint trickles in balmy clotted puddles,
I shudder adorned in radiant rubies rolling from my fingertips,
I feel your veteran-mastered art pouring from my throat...
Am I not your first? What imaginative vision you possess!
For it is not to say mine is fading, fleeting plasma afloat.

They told me of your gift,
How endowed you are,
Able to plunge, plunge, plunge,
Your hands into the crevices of torment,
In your swayed, celestial delusion,
You heaven's exile, wicked-bound and hell sent.

Engraved in lifeless form ascending from tip to hilt,
Still I lie mesmerized by the atrocity,
Of apathy jaundiced guilt.
Predator, what is your name?
May I slip your ill-willed syllables from my lips,
for you have brought my tamed veins shame.

I value your corrupt knowledge found pledge,
As you mar my shivering body to your own image,
Ingenuity, you said was the plight laid upon razor's edge.

Poetic justice you explained was reason to heal,
Mankind in his errors,
Of humanity's devil-signed, soul-phantom deal.

If I could speak I'd ask for the pen,
Should I sign in ink? Skin pricked red-wine?
Rolled parchment, contract or covenant?
Sign here along the dotted line?

I lift the golden-feathered needle,
And pierce, finger signature in place,
Advocate of Satan take my soul,
Where we are then,
Vaccuum-voided into fiery space.

I look back up at you with word choked reply,
Sputtering the eruptive branch volcano,
You snicker an exaggerated pain cry,
You tell me my soul's been granted,
I was never given choice,
You said, "You gave that up when I slit,
Your moral stained choral-voice...."

 How I regret your wicked lures...
Your profound and deafening words,
The afterlife has no meaning,
Only death does gleam,
On Steel Sharpened Spurs...

Wonder’s Darkness
             by Odin Roark

He knew wonder well
It could cancel fear
And bestow courage
A nexus for survival

A predawn beginning
His solo-climb of the face
Thought crazy by doubters
Had started swift and easy
The results of plans
Rehearsals
Confidence

The wall’s darkness was his own
Anchoring piton after piton
Securing each meter of ascension by feel
With unharnessed confidence of mind

For this was a climb of defiance
Knowing few if any
Might or would
Ever understand his exhilaration
His unique love of climbing-chalk and sweat
Carabineers and rope
Anchors and ascenders
Tenuous connections to life
All married to his inner eclipse

Yet at the halfway point…

Exhaustion appeared
Adrenalin waned
His pendulum traverse had missed
Time seemed to stop
Flesh and rock collided
Bringing cold panic
Seizing breath to hold
Suspending threatened fate

Even as the skill of a spider
Had kept him safely vertical until now
Death’s harassment had not been part of the plan

His back rested against cold granite
The lead taste of blood from his nose
Conflicted the balsam and cedar fragrance
Gusting up from the valley floor
Fifteen hundred feet below
His straight down reality

Minutes passed…

Awe and respect
Life’s often ignored necessitude
Hung together with him
Against the sheared mountain
Some predicted his dreaded finale

With tenacity as partner
Calmness merged with a blanket of sunrise warmth
The crisis became the past now
This test of tests faced completion

His mind eased back to a climber’s trust
Careful feeling about
Delivered firm grips
Precise movement
Renewed determination
Moving him deftly toward the descent team’s cheers
Waiting on distant topside

Resisting aid
He reached the summit
And gathering minutes of needed rest
Even amidst the accolades and glee
He prepared for the hard part
The trek down the backside

This blind climber knew
Like those with eyes to see
Exhaustion can make even a simple return route
More dangerous than the climb

With the descent team
Assisting his tired body
The crude trail carved
For bushwhacking
Brought danger often missed
Until it was too late
Loose scree
Roots of trees
Ruts and rocks

With sightless vision
He maneuvered the precarious path
His certain smile becoming contagious
Moving shaking heads of doubters once
To embrace a blind climber’s wonder
As their own

The Tracks Outside My Window

The alarm rings a seven o’clock and I begin to rub my head,
I quickly turn it off and notice my wife has left the bed.
Out my window I can see tracks in the freshly fallen snow,
I wonder who could have made them and where do they go?

Perhaps I’ll put my boots on, make a trek to find the answer,
I wonder if my wife will join me… I’ll go downstairs and ask her.
When I get to the bottom step I notice a look in her eyes,
She is sitting on the couch and ignores my replies.

I sit next to her and ask if she wants to join me,
She appears flustered and asks “why do you have to see?”
I quickly run to the closet to get my coat and hat,
As I’m leaving I turn to her, “I’m not sure when I’ll be back.”

After hours of following the tracks I hear a strange hum,
Notice a shinny object where the sound is coming from.
It looks very strange like nothing I’ve seen before,
A dish with a slanted platform and a large sliding door.

After about twenty minutes I see a figure appear,
As it comes through the door it clearly can sense my fear.
Wearing a large hood, it pivots its head towards me,
Not knowing what to do, I quickly begin to flee.

I suddenly feel something grasping around my waist,
I fall to the snow, which quickly covers my face.
The next thing I sense I’m being carried to the ship,
I try to get away but cannot escape its grip.

I wake up on a bed and see in utter amazement,
There are only beautiful woman who release a heavenly scent,
But the one closest to me is holding a large knife,
Suddenly the door opens and there is standing my wife.

I get up quickly grab her arm and hold her by the door,
“She is my wife,” I scream, “I’ll love her forevermore.”
We jump from the craft and run through the snowy lawn,
All the tracks disappear and the ship suddenly… gone.

I slowly turn around and find myself alone with the trees,
I then look up and all I feel is a soft gentle breeze.
After almost 24 hours of walking I finally find my home,
As I enter the door and look inside, I realize I live alone.

I sadly sit in the chair and put my hands in my head,
Slowly take off my coat and hat, and then go to bed.
For I’ve been told many times, I do this after every snow.
I go outside… and follow the tracks outside my window.

Premium Member Woman, Whenever, Wherever, Whoever You Are

well, woman has been around for a while
  hypno-teasing men with her wicked smile
  been known by many names starting with Eve
  Boadicea, Cleopatra and Genevieve

  she can fly-by-night, be out with the bats
  purring and prowling with sly slinky cats
  never a tame girl, sometimes receptive
  with hidden secrets, deep and deceptive

  see her in twilight, creature in the dark
  flames flickered when she was Joan of Arc
  think she has been here for just a few years?
  think again, 'them' hills, they flow with her tears

  woman has been teacher for aeons of time
  wrote most of " Homer ", taught Plato to rhyme
  as Archimedes' hand-maid, she had a laugh
  when he shouted " Eureka, get me out of the bath! "

  around when Adam gave out those spare ribs
  her name is on parchment writ with rare nibs
  her time here with us, a mere interlude
  battles over centuries, a bitter feud

  with men from the past and future I'm told
  man on her arm, just her latest cuckold
  well-rounded dame or seriously slim
  cheerful demeanour or chief sister grim

  close-quarter woman talking loud and fast
  words over-taking like a blast from the past
  so hard to keep up, so hard to break in
  leave you behind in the wake of her din!

  what's this I hear, is she now slowing down
  pausing for men, is she wearing a frown?
  perhaps she's starting to shuffle the deck
  departure dreaming on a very long trek

  maybe no point in moving on once more
  the greater challenge is here at the door
  as men they shout " I am invincible
  I've the biggest Archimedes Principle! "

  late at night she now walks the floorboards
  seeking a new role, a song with new chords
  " where and when will I go, who will I be
  will I stay in this land or else oversea ? "

  men of the future and men of the past
  treasure this woman as head of the cast
  whenever, wherever, whoever you are
  she will always twinkle, shine like a star

  bring her some chocolate, bring her some wine
  make sure she stays and has a good time
  but watch at midnight in case she's outside
  all alone by the road hitching a ride

  silver moonbeam and finest curb crawler
  then down to the port and onto a trawler
  far out to sea where she thinks of those days
  when Gods fought Neptune for sight of her gaze

Premium Member Remembering You

(Dedication: For the school children, teachers,
adventure guide and tourists who lost their lives
while trekking on Mount Kinabalu, Sabah, East
Malaysia during the earthquake, on Friday,
5th June 2015. RIP. And for those missing.
For their loved ones who mourn their passing.
May you find peace in their memory. For the
survivors, may you find peace in the days ahead.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sad news this sad day: tragic young lives lost;
Yet courage did stay to fight a brave cause.
On June fifth, Friday: sudden tremor swept;
Sabah Mount then swayed with casualties snapped.
A simple school trip: to scale a calm peak;
To gain a good grip, now mortal wounds speak.
Kinabalu trek: where odd earthquake struck;
Brought pain in the wreck, young lives gone abrupt.
We feel humbled here: glimpse heroic acts there;
Teachers who braved fear to cushion harsh fare.
Hear of three trek guides: who focused their best;
Braved tragic landslide to rescue their guests.
Child survivor tells: of human spirit;
Brave acts that compelled when tragic force hit.
We mourn this sad loss: come to terms with pain,
Glimpse uncertain pause, grieve at death's domain.
Sadness moves our spheres: fondly remember;
Flags flown half mast here, watch loss engender.
Sadness marks Games' wit: How fragile life is?
A silent minute to honour lost lease.
Forlorn this feeling: no goodbyes or hugs;
Our children leaving, our broken hearts struck.
Others lost as well: cold mountain terrain;
Twenty voices quelled, sad day flings sad pains.
Tears on sad faces: pain and bitter grief;
Hearts with blown spaces, please let hurts be brief.
Yet life must go on: to live bold and strong;
Pray for those beyond where pain cannot throng.
Sad and grim this day: memories now taunt;
Guilt and regret stray, watch happy days haunt.
Pain and grief will end: to forge happy ploys;
Life sets journey trends, love ushers new joys.
May our tears and pain touch your souls this day;
May we meet again somewhere on life's way.
May our sorrows heal: with the distant tides;
May we live goodwill that stays by our side.
In our hearts we know: beyond sure reason,
Love that ever flows for all life's seasons.
Perplexing Bipolar Phases
I am so mellow and quiet…
As calm as a midnight jet…
I need some sort of outlet…
Give me something more than this...regret
I did not mean to get upset...
I just wanted you to be feeling alright
Remember the day we first met?
It was a wondrous time in daylight
In a daze, I smile shyly at you tonight
I take flight after being in captivity for so long
I trek a mile just to be as high as a kite
In a phase, I frown away negativity all along
Oh, I give praise to the Lord Most High
The love I concealed inside, can't deny
I'm in a bipolar manic, but I still love You
I'm in a bipolar manic and the past, can't undo
I am so yellow and bright…
Like a sun-shining star tonight…
Show me the path that is right
I need your love to be fulfilled beyond...sight
I did not mean to get upset...
I just wanted you to be feeling alright
Remember the day we first met?
It was a wondrous time in daylight
In a daze, I smile shyly at you tonight
I take flight after being in captivity for so long
I trek a mile just to be as high as a kite
In a phase, I frown away negativity all along
Oh, I give praise to the Lord Most High
The love I concealed inside, can't deny
I'm in a bipolar manic, but I still love You
I'm in a bipolar manic and the past, can't undo
Saw what you've been through all along...
Lord, I still believe I have done You wrong...
Flawed from the start like an unfinished song...
Remaining numb in my loneliness, longing to...belong
I did not mean to get upset...
I just wanted you to be feeling alright
Remember the day we first met?
It was a wondrous time in daylight
In a daze, I smile shyly at you tonight
I take flight after being in captivity for so long
I trek a mile just to be as high as a kite
In a phase, I frown away negativity all along
Oh, I give praise to the Lord Most High
The love I concealed inside, can't deny
I'm in a bipolar manic, but I still love You
I'm in a bipolar manic and the past, can't undo
I'm in a bipolar manic…
Feeling like a maniac…
My muse is abusing me once more
But, I will endure to the deepest...core
Drunk by shots
Of shameful delight
I'm in a bipolar manic in a panic…
I'm morbidly a forlorning fanatic…
You accuse me with abtrusing thoughts,
Leave me feeling sore as my soul...rots
I try with my might,
But what for?
