Premium Member Blue Screen

i started a painting
in black and white
and grey snuck in.
A bold move
would have been
to water color
the background blue.

Timing is everything
and then it's not
quite the same.
No cause or offense,
no defense,
colors get blurred,
awashed in blue.

A blue outlook.
Good always wins.
Your puppet needed
no introduction
into my painting.
No ping time outs
or socket errors.
The blue screen.

Grey is always shadowing
my painting
with half tones
and half-truths.
The absence of you
and the residue
of a good time.
Reptiles and fossils
troll the canvas.

I finished painting
yesterday.
Black and white
and grey snuck in.
A bold move would have been
to water color
the background blue.

What Time Bleeds

Seeds get planted according to season.
Timing is everything.
My eyes are puffy from crying over
Another misgiving.

Despair is like a disease
I can't escape.
I follow my calling, but I wonder if
Running on the treadmill
Is how time bleeds.

The treadmill moves under my feet.
It moves too fast.
I try to keep pace,
But my breath breaks first.
I collapse in tears,
Still moving nowhere.

Around and around
In this never-ending cycle.
Living each day filled with dread,
Chasing after something never attained.

My soul burns up,
Leading me into darkness.
No way out of this tunnel.
No light to see where I'm headed.

I know my past self.
She interferes with my present.
I tell myself to block her out,
But I can't run away from myself.

Insight

I wonder...what they see when they see me
true perception is everything but our flesh can be deceiving
but, the eyes don't lie so maybe it's the endless
possibilities they can't see within me that makes
these women pass me by, do they know though
why I...chose to just admire their beauty and keep it moving
the reality is my insight saw nothin that said
"approach this woman she's worth pursuing"
But on the other hand what does my eyes say to them
why didn't they approach me...people tend to live out their
present based on past experiences so da concept
of true love actually coming to them is slim to none
timing is everything so maybe we'll cross paths again
but aye maybe not...

Premium Member Together Alone

While the sun sets for you
it rises for me, you are halfway
around the world, our differences
nights and days apart –

                      while I dreamed of
settling you dreamed of travel –

when you saw blue skies
I was tamped beneath the
overcast below –

                       "timing is everything"
in life, I have often heard...
and as the clock ticks
further down, I have begun to
wonder if even eternity will bring
any of us really closer together...?

Oh!~ I know, for I have also studied
The Scriptures, and our need for faith...

but I have also tasted the tea
unsweetened, and read the residue –

staining my heart with vivid images
of sustained separation

Though alone is never alone
when with God, I am reminded

but even Christ clung to His beloved
human company...

Premium Member A Measure of Time

timing is everything
pretty much anytime
anyhow anyplace

morning noon or evening
whatever the birth date
no matter the season
or how tight the G-string
victuals and drink
the chiefs of a good diet

this old woman could not be quiet
she wiped her clammy hands
on a mellow yellow chiffon dress
Circa 1959

timing is overdressed
always never again
maybe sometimes never thrice

the aging colors
of dusty dreams
invite us to frolic
but only briefly
now that it's technical
there are no more heroes

this old lady only waved
when she was yawning
where had her archives gone
into a lifetime of sea

timing is to blame
cooks faster than bacon
doesn't stop and carries a knife

hour after hour reaches out
blinds us to see
takes us half the way there
days tripping over rock stars
nothing is by accident
in adjoining rooms

that old lady never listened
had many years of unread messages
lost the keys to the Jeep
waited for the next available rep

timing held its breath
up-to-the-minute
it was no small matter

prior days posted
atop one another
stealing sunshine
never recoiling
yesterday at sundown
she crashed the ATV

this old lady lived to skål
joy rides at the speed of sound
backward and past the contrasts
always in a leopard pill-box hat

timing had meant everything
still in response to yesterday
it was no grand prize

a gray higgledy-piggledy shrub
below the tidal noise
standing in the doorway with poise
blocking the Entrance
that's what ^tiempo_ was
cowbells and castagnettes

this old lady kicked it
in an instant such as this
cursed by seasons of glare
life kissed her feet in recompense

timing and it's belongings
had paced past and present
and lasted but a moment

in the vestibule by the portal
there is a possessed clock
it stages lifetime shifts
every step you take up or down the staircase
days weeks months years decades
a life-span of keeping your eyes on it

Self-Observations

Self-observations
>>>>
I live my life through my poetry
I am the team of my insecurities
Living on the edge
Or Waiting to be held
I was taught the vital level of survival skills
Somehow, I fail in so many ways
My foundation tilt
>>>>>>
It has become easier to depend on others
For comforts, without lifting a muscles
Or turning on my thinking cap
I turn off all gaps
Maybe it could be signs of weakness;
Or a touch of madness
Perhaps a little of both

I never worry about my beauty
Because it’s unquestionable
I am so lovable,
But non-negotiable
To live by words, or to create my own language
Which I seldom do
To be the one who must decipher
U cannot stands alone or be written as just u (You)
>>>>>
Self-observation is self-multiplying
And self- reflection
Beginning with my low and high
Timing is everything
However, do I have the time?

Even Harder Than Spoken smooth Transitions

Bel canto
Her asking Suport- Part three

Somewhere they say
that you and I are together
somewhere they'll believe
that we are one

we found interest in us together
we're interested in
having fun
My true love
don't know we're together
If it goes Your way
we've just begun

I know ya'll get tired
of sounding blue
hearing song's about people
doing the things they do

Happiness is
of what you make it
Ones selfishness
 is often selected

One things true
in a Lovers Obligation
Timing is everything
to not leave one waitin

Wait for Love
when ya'll know it's right
aint no love
when nothing right
seems I'm being
a little selfish
Most obvious
when you
feel neglected

Curious Devotion Within

Things can be intimidating
within life as we grow
Treading through time
nullifying life’s hardships
prospering life’s greatness
alluring as my mindset
seeks meaningful reset
Everything is simple
yet so complex
We need to stop at times
just to take a breath
Sometimes things are sad
traumatic and painful
making you think it’s over
praying for one day more
Then life takes the ones we love
Leaving us speechless
disheartening within
hurting inept
Once in awhile life gracefully bestows wonder
Inquiring if questions are reflections on display to be blundered
Seemingly inquisitive thoughts inside with no end or regret
Things return back to the start
letting us know that we’re smaller than we think
Not having to take a look at ourselves without artificial instinct
Can’t wait for tomorrow morning day and night
Seeing your steaming allure
like a mysterious illustration
an illustrious delight
All being able to see your new vision of treasure or treason
Restitutions has always been served in discussions of pleasing
Rights and wrongs in violence against those who try to deceive you
People are puppets displayed upon life’s stage
Miniature ideals swirling amongst giants
Tranquility in awe swaying forever throughout trials and tribulations
Destruction of chaotic behavior
without temptations
Living amongst devious peers
carelessly unaware of violent relations
Lingering souls into the valley of good
wanting, needing, longing throughout
Timing is everything
undoubtedly profound
I’m staying with y’all for eternal devour
unsure of what is to come
returning from lost sanctions
while leaving you complacent
lingering around the worlds own stage set
Thanks for your time
I appreciate the kindness of your heart
depiction for your regards
and departing life's clout
Longing for the next opportunity again
shedding all happiness
leaving my own prints
Somehow Someway Someday morning or late
I’ll be here for you
inside my mindless debates

Just Friends

She says she just wants to be friends, no title, but I bet
you she never had a man worship the ground she walks
on no false idols. So I do those little things, not looking
for recognition just wanna show her what she's missing
no premonition, more like repetition, but she reminds me
friendship is still the mission. Listen, I play the fence so
vividly, she's holding her emotions but I know she's
feeling me. Timing is everything no one likes the dating
scene, so cliche right just a Queen looking for her King.
But she doesn't wanna be crowned, no not yet, her exes
had her heart in jeopardy like Alex Trabek, never let em
see you sweat, that's how they think nowadays, seeking
love but @ the same time the heart is a full court mess.
Just friends, that's what she says she wants to be, maybe
because commitment nowadays looks far from free, and
she isn't ready for all of me. Patience is still a virtue, even
if the heart has your mind going around in circles. I been
told I'm the hopeless romantic, so excuse the chivalry I
display even sometimes I can't stand it. But I'm just being
me right, we just friends but it feels like prom night, I'm
wrong you're right I need to stop it, making you a priority
when you just wanna be my option. But its so evident, I
just want a lil more from you, we don't have to commit
no ulterior motives but I wanna be the one who you can
run to.
