“Okay so you see?
You-you see this on the left,
This pocket watch,
The face, it tells more-.
Eh? No, no. Fine, I guess.
Or what about this plate?
Hand painted chi-
… No, just one, not four.
Right, look, please,
I've only this left -
A jar of dirt, I know -
But it's about the lore.”
All who look, never see.
They scoff at these kept memories.
The watch? A token.
A bond with my mother,
Forever unbroken.
She passed,
Many years ago now.
And her face is getting
Harder.
But the face of the watch,
The face.
I can hear the tick,
And remember.
Remember her rituals around the holidays
This was the last thing she gave me
Before she was gone.
But that last year -
“He's been! He's been!”
At 5am
That memory is warm
The plate is part of a whole.
See this wonderful woman,
This strange, amazing ball of light
... Loved chickens.
We sat, I remember
Wading through nostalgia.
I swung my legs off my chair,
While she hummed out the window.
It dawned on us then,
Just how crazy this
Clustered chicken collection
Had grown.
I remember 250,
I remember your face.
You laughed until you cried,
With gusto, and haste.
The dirt is last,
But the tightest I hold.
See you always wanted
To give me a world
Filled with magic
And hope.
You found a site,
“Historical Pirate Port”
Closed off
and condemned.
You shimmied under chicken wire
Put dirt in a jar
So I could hold some magic
For when you were afar.
Quirks,
Rituals,
Memories and more
You are what
Traditions are for.
I lied, never told you the truth—
I never loved you,
my beloved Ruth.
Forgive me, if it's possible,
for the things I did impossible.
Cold blood, so bold,
seeping through my veins.
If I could hold
you, and ease your pains.
Though I'm not sane,
and sound mostly insane,
I can be the wisest—
to hold you the tightest.
I can't promise to fix
what's broken inside,
gloomy guilt and shame mix,
picking up the pieces, sitting beside.
Hoping for the best,
for you—releasing the rest.
Go, live your life,
be somebody else's wife.
You deserve someone who
would give the world to you.
Forgive me, I couldn't be
the one to see
the love, the proof, the truth
in your eyes, my lovely Ruth.
HOLY IS THE NEW FLESH
burning the rights of an ancient Sacrifice
by ancestors holy and profane
the offerings of an Intellectual ape
hairless and Afraid
of the indiscriminate night
unknown regions far from human sight,
flesh made new holy and precious
burnt to the divinity of the unknown
the thing is seen in corner of dreams n nightmares
of primitive man
a righteous being; so holy is the flesh
made new by the blood
the blood of the righteous lamb
the lamb of the infinite infernal and intimate god
the god of nothing and everything all there is and ever was
the first last and always
the alpha and omega
the universal intellect
the void
Cold inhuman or the voice next to your soul
a creator mad and whole
a being of infinite jest
the new covenant
the breaker of bread
the devour of the new flesh
the science and sacrament
of blood and atonement
feeling Valhalla calling the new flesh, home
holy and sacred
the science and sacrament
of blood and atonement
feeling new
righteous
in the flesh
the burning of offerings
to the dark void above
ashes cast to the unknown below
holy is the new flesh made clean
by an infinite creation
a finite god
of holy ghost
flesh re-mastered
masculinity of soul
the lushness of the feminine grace
a goddess
a whore
the duality of the new flesh
the tightest of lace
burning in the nights
of an ancient Sacrifice
ancestors holy and secular
the offerings of an intellectual ape
hairless and afraid of the indiscriminate night
unknown regions far from human sight
flesh new holy and precious
burnt to the divinity of the unknown
the thing is seen in corner
of dreams and nightmares
of primitive man, grand
a righteous being
so holy is the flesh
made knew by the blood
of the righteous lamb
the lamb of the infinite infernal
an intimate irrational god
cries:
“sacred is the new flesh”
“…To rethink the flow and the rhythm,
the tumbling out of the words,
is a betrayal, and it's a sin…”
So…
“…Long live the New Flesh!”
David Cronenberg
For over thirty years now
We have penned this marriage book
A mystery the direction
Each single chapter took
With our share of laughter
In bits of comedy
Spilling tears upon the page
But not in tragedy
Chapter one was started
On the day that we first met
Destiny?
After thirty years, I'm still thinking yes
Where it matters we fit each other
Like a well worn glove
To each other bound together
With the tightest threads of love
In both chapters two and three
We got to know each other well
Before we decided we no longer needed
To be by ourselves
So we bought some extra paper
Along with extra pens
In hopes that we could one day
Write a family in
In the year of chapter four
We did that with our first child
Stock of blonde haired curls
With a touch of heavens smile
In the middle of chapter six
We added number two
With the cry of pure perfection
If I may tell the truth
All of the chapters following
Have been quite the read
A national best seller
To say the very least
And it could not have been done
If it weren't for her and me
Taking the time to write this book
Of our lives destiny
To this day my co-author
I'm still standing with
That beautiful girl I still love
That thirty years ago I first kissed
And whatever writings lay ahead
I'm sure those final chapters will be
The very best that we have written
My co-author and me
Them: "Pfft, look at you! You have the tightest jeans in Atlanta!"
Me: (Atlanta? We're in Colorado?) "I guess you're right, I do have tight jeans."
Them: (What? They just agreed.) "Ha! Look at you! You wear that beanie because your hair is nappy!
Me: *Chuckles* "You're right, I do!" I smiled, "I haven't had the chance to do my hair yet!"
Them: What's with them? "Well...Why do you have a thick accent? You're not even from here you immigrant!
Me: *Chuckles again* "Heh, You're right, I'm not from here! I'm from Australia."
Them: Ugh, they're pissing me off! "Well then...why is your skin so dark? Been in the sun too much?" *Laughs hardly*
Me: "You're right! I love being outside, I've never heard of staying indoors."
Them: "Whatever!" *Storms off while stomping*
I think we should hug a veteran every day…not just on Veteran’s Day.
and I think it’s a hug we should make last…
because a veteran doesn’t stop being a veteran…once Veteran’s Day has passed.
Because they are not just veterans who defended our freedom…
they are our sisters and our brothers…
they are our neighbors, our friends, our children…
they are our fathers and our mothers.
Because families know the cost of sending our loved ones off to fight…
as we wave, shed a tear and lovingly whisper their names…
we know every soldier sent off to war…will not return the same.
That’s why there are two times we hug our loved ones the tightest…
(It is something family members learn)
The first…is the day we send them off to war…
The second…is the day when they return.
I say we add a third hug to the mix…I say we all find a way
to thank every veteran we see…by giving them a hug
not just today…but every day.
Yes, I say thank a veteran every day…
give them a hug…
shake their hand
let those of us who’ve never fought
let those who did
know we are thankful…
know we understand.
Spiritual Wisdom
A spiritual realisation ,
while pushed and put in the tightest corner.
No outlet in the toughest situation.
I touched Divine to act as convener.
While bewildered being trapped in malice.
A spiritual realisation ,
to find way out of wickedness and vice.
Miracle happened in worst condition.
While helplessness was only sensation
Lone fighter trying to travel in the dark
A spiritual realisation ,
Path to illumine with a sudden spark.
While sinking blind even straw not to catch
Rescuer held my hand, I must mention.
Angel stood behind as the perfect match.
A spiritual realisation .

Brrrrr my alarm clock wakes me with a start. I open heavy eyelids to see sun streaming through a chink in the curtains. Bounding out of bed I hurriedly dress in my bikini and cover up with my shortest shorts and tightest tee-shirt. With my arthritic knees and varicose veins I am no Betty Grable, but I’m gonna prove once and for all that I can still cut it! Grabbing my surf board I head off to the local beach where my family are gathered for my 100th birthday celebrations. There is an air of anticipation as I strip down to my bikini and dip my toes into the freezing water. White spume crashes up the beach as I paddle out on my surfboard, everyone cheers as I stand and begin cresting huge waves eventually coming to rest on the damp sand. My son wraps me in a fluffy towel and hands me a steaming mug of hot chocolate. He presents me with a telegram from the Queen and a gold envelope containing a voucher for my next challenge of wing walking ...I just cannot stop smiling!

Six months from now and it's curtains for me
I'll crash through the barrier of 88
I'll officially be old and crotchety and senile
Pablum after my morning pee
Oh for the days had no trouble getting dressed
Now I forget my darn Jockeys
Don't wanna share this bod with anyone else
Everything's become kinda floppy
Once had tight abs... now who am I kidding
The tightest my abs get now
Is when I try bending down to tie up my laces
At times feel like a pregnant cow
I grunt and strain and been known to curse
Saying bad things like, “holy heck"
Can remember those real naughty old phrases
Like “go to blazes” or “pain in the neck”
Guess six months won't make a hugh difference
I'm pretty well ready for the pasture
One thing I've noticed since reaching “maturity”
Time seems to be going a lot faster
So here's some advice for all you young'uns
Enjoy life while you still can
Before you know it, the darn jig will be up
And you'll just be an also ran
"Seventeen Years"
by: Eric L. Boddie
In my younger years, satan had the tightest clinch upon my Soul
I was headed to destruction, but, then, my heart was told
All of the Truths my mother made sure that I learned
Many could not believe it, but my Soul refused to burn
So I Allowed God Into my heart, and He Made me Strong where I was weak
Then He Filled me With His Spirit, so that Through me, He Would Speak
And I'm not a perfect man, I felt the temptations that satan sent
Which is why I repeatedly get down on my knees and Repent
And as any shepard to any flock, He Provides me with what you need
So if "I" am unable to forgive my haters, how could I ever lead
How could I give any advice in your greatest times of stress
So all I can do is Pray To Him And Allow Him To Address
Not your every desire, but your every need, Daily Miracles Is All He Will Do
And when you Need Him, He Is There, for 17 years, I've tried to Teach That to you
note: my brother, Apostle Lincoln E. Anderson, asked me to write this for him as he has been Preaching 17 years....
