The Lush Hill

The lush hill towered over the quite town mostly built with big rock;
it had three tall church towers
with different distinguished styles: Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque...
wondrous was every sunrise!

Oh, their loud bronze bells could be heard ringing
through the vast, sun-washed and peaceful valley
sorrounded by mountains that reached a sky so dazzling...
then the clock-tower stroke each hour so precisely!

The summer's aroma was kind of strong and irritated the eyes,
and it almost got me drunken as aged wine does;
and I ran to the lush hill thinking of finding a treasure
in a cave that the invading Normans might have hidden in there!

But to my surprise, only frescos of martyrs were discovered;
all the while, that treasure was in front of me:
Nature opening up with its magnificent beauty!
It took observation and reflection for the rare gifts it rendered.

Whenever I ran to the lush hill, either morning or afternoon,
I was astonished by the humble faces of saints showing no demise
for their persecution and carnage by beast such as ferocious lions...
as those pious faces looked to Christ for comfort in their doom!

Their image made me much stronger and believer in the Shepherd
whose sheep never was lost among grunting wolves waiting aside;
and every mystery revealed, it grew to teach me not to be afraid...
when profound silence arrived bringing delights to an innocent child.

Oh, lush hill...keep my image of young boy intact even after I die;
let it come alive when sheer curiousity arises and tantalizes...
to make me climb that lush hill again for the heart to fantasize,
and 'though my health may not be as vibrant as then, I must try!

God

1 “whom he hath appointed heir of all things”,

When you come to the inference by time,
where innocence marks its own maturity,
as questions seeks for answers,
when curiosity tantalizes obscurity,
with chronicles of gone bye years,
when reflections sends the beams to the mind,
and sparks congregates as reasons,
when conjectures forms a void within,
As you drift to that realm of confusion,
When the mind cannot withstand the torrents of thoughts,
When the world cannot find the compass of your being,
and to all you are dispirited in the ocean of life,
when petulant mutates to unseen rebellion,
when ominous canker and contortion hatched on vision
when you demystify evolution by superior argument,
and find the flaws of imposed science,
When you reach the borders of earth's vain.
Where mortality mocks your toils.

Premium Member Beautiful Bahamas

Peach-pinched beachcombers
enter the scene
with sugary-sun splashes,
darkened sunglasses.
Beautiful Bahamas
with pink sand beaches
and the gully wash
that ebbs and flows, sweetens
her veins with serendipitous warmth,
tantalizes his bushwacker brain.
Foraminifera of her cheeks,
her wet towel beneath.
Horseshoe bay smiles,
waves them in
with its turquoise siren-sea and
blushing granules.
Bahama mama runs
as if she’s a Bay Watch babe.
To the one who embraces
her intoxicating hand,
she is the embodiment
of a precious shell in his palm.
Does he feel the sun…
smell the salty air?
He feels the heat indeed,
tastes the salty air she breathes —
She is the Bahamas to him.
He crashes the island
of her flowery towel.
His lips envelope
his piña colada.

Premium Member Finally Alive

I met him when I was a young girl
Heart racing the first time we kissed
In me, he touched upon some wellspring
Of hope for a deep and passionate grace
Flowing through me like the promise of an ache

I was with him for a time, not so long
But his kiss stayed with me, beckoning my heart
Touching my thoughts with tenderness and hope
Caressing my feelings with a gentleness
That tingles and tantalizes my spirit

I left him for some time, thinking of him often
We touched each other’s souls, yet never
Found the opportunity to share our lives
With more than a passing of moments and weeks
We were often left with a lingering affection

Finally, as time will do – we were left older
Wiser and filled with the truth that we had gone
Through this life without ever living out the dream
We shared – a dream of the love we had
And ultimately, we decided to marry and beget laughter

We shared one perfect year – there were no tears or fears
Only happiness and joy, inspiration that comes from knowing
You’ve found the one God intended for you, the miracle
That whispers across the heart like a intimate thought
Welcoming you home, to the only home you could know

It was one perfect year – and death touched down
With it’s dark and heavy hand, leaving only the print
Of lasting grief – from which there was no relief
Sorrow that would last through every tomorrow
And leave only the loss that left the other longing for

Death

1 Knocked to the Ground

There’s no bell, nor stars—
just bloody knees.
You haven’t thought of heaven or hell,
when you cursed the sneeze.

2 Ignoring the Obvious Cause

Using a whisk
to dust off the hole in your knees.
You’re a bigg’n
who straightens your back,
though your neck won’t
calibrate left, right or South.

3 Whoops

Why’d you fall on your whoopie
cushion? Tailbone thrashing
like a mermaid against the current.
Baleen curses - two-fisted.

4 Slowmo Recovery

No ambulance for your pride.
You scrutinize your shoes
for blubber, crap and scars.

5 Apex

The spreader was keen,
intelligent, even.
Theory of climbing
impeccable
but without horseshoes
and cheating
on your tippy-tippy toes
your nose meets
the grindstone of regret.

6 Watering the Grounds

The soil needs warm earth
and worms but they tend
to be off put by church.
Nothing learned…nothing gained.

7 Angels on High

Potluck’s not for you
but the scent of savory,
sweet and scrupulous
tantalizes.

8 Nest Egg

Wash yolk off your face.
Smile it’s sunny.
Tripping - tongue
says,”Oh my goodness.”
You chuckle
as you take a big bite
out of new life.

To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Eph 4:22-24 ESV

The Train

The Train
Its shine consumes you
So just don’t look
Its taste tantalizes your senses
Its power makes you a crook
You can smoke it in a pipe
You can put in your arm
You’ve now have told yourself
That it never does you harm
Your thoughts are altered
Your soul is scorned
But your high you do not falter
Your spirit never born
You lose your money, you lose your kids
The sad thing is
You really don’t care if you did
There’s never enough
You always want more
So heed my warning
The will make you a whore
Walk away now
So you can dance
Cause death by meth is your only other chance
So, if you ride the meth train you better ride it well
Cause the meth devil I know
Takes you straight to hell.

Premium Member Why Do I Hit You So

Razor's edge makes lines on the mirror

Bullet in the barrel tantalizes

Adrenaline rushes

Euphoria beckons

Grace reaches out

Always reaches out

But can you feel it?

No food on the table

No money in the bank

Eviction notice on the door

What am I here for?

Grace reaches out

Always reaches out

But will you receive it?

Whiskey bottle hasn't been touched

Explosives strapped to your chest

You walk into that crowded place

Handgun, loaded in pocket, just in case

Grace reaches out

Always reaches out

But do you get it?

Can you feel it?

Will you receive it?

Do you get it?

Why do I hit you so hard?

Adrenaline rushes

Straw snorts

Euphoria beckons

Pull that trigger

Release that bullet

What will you feel

As it passes through your brain?

Why do I hit you so hard?

Always reaches out

Grace does.

Iconic Stars

Diamond boy on a late night ride with temptation cheering to good days. Like him you only see the good in people amongst all the stars. Like it prove it cause if it's up to me I'd give you all the dreams in retrograde. So, cry baby cry baby cry. I'm gonna cheer you on just so I can turn you on even with half of me to get the whole me with this spiritual love affair. I want to be with you within the heavenly stars and only you never to leave you hanging high and dry. You're a heart of gold boy. Discovering every part of you and my alter ego it's like being in the lime light while the garden drip tantalizes the blind sights of many for every eye to be set upon you and the other side of who I am. we will be iconic stars stars stars iconic stars burning hot like the heat of monochrome film.

Premium Member Exquisite Pain and Joy

There is exquisite pain
In being offered a beautiful gift
Fine the wrapping
The bows beautifully beguiling
The attached card:
Love’s testament in writing

Everything indicates
The contents are perfect
What lies inside
Can satisfy, electrify, gratify….
BEAUTIFY, yes, beautify your life
Wrapped up in pretty paper
The outside tantalizes
Alluring me to open
Open…Open…OPEN!

Yet….
I sit and stare
At the beauty before me
Thinking...rationalizing...
Nothing lasts forever
NOTHING
Were the gift to be handled and fondled
It might lose its newness
Its mystic
Its beauty
It might get...old
And so
The gift sits there
Unopened
But there is exquisite joy in knowing
In there beats a heart for you
Strong and true
Experiences fresh and new

When you are stronger
You will pull that pretty blue bow
Yet for now...
it’s good to know
the gift remains waiting...

The gift is for you
