Hearing

HEARING

Don’t come near me with that tune
You know it will make me cry again
With its sixths, elevenths, thirteenths
All conspiring to take over my brain
Expanding in my head like a balloon

Melody goes wherever it wants to go
That long held note, it does it for me
Leaving those complex chords behind
Holding on with pride to that top C
Together with that touch of tremolo

I also hear the bass line slowly move
An anchor for the notes all in flight
Like a susurration in the open skies
Where every single one does it right
As each has a point they must prove

My heart is lifted as the music swells
And images pervade my open mind
It is a sensation that I cannot control
As if special roles have been assigned
Across new worlds without parallels

Awaken, My Soul

Awaken, my soul, to the rhythm of love,
Let the breeze kiss you with the song it plays,
Hearken to its sighs of susurration,
Let the flower of kindness bloom afresh,
Shaken when you are, hold fast to firm faith,
Let the music of hope enliven you,
Darken not your thoughts with negative gloom,
Let passion for goodness rule inside you,
Broken trust, revive with forgiving mind,
Let the whispers of the wind arouse you,
Stricken with affection, be Nature's friend,
Let the sun shine on you with rays of grace,
Unspoken words cannot hurt you or heal,
Let the feeling of peace wash over you,
Quicken, my soul, to the sound of zephyr,
Let it caress and cleanse you from within.

Walking upon silent parched paths,
under speechless scarlet skies.
Your name sits upon the tip of my tongue,
listening to the susurration of my heart.
Each vibration echoes tones of lament,
conflicted by the principles of time.

Adrift in the midst of gladness and sadness,
in a plot without a twist, lost in blackness and slackness,
through turbulent trials, I yearn for you to return.

Distance remains an unknown intangible pain,
but visions of your timid cute brown eyes remain.
How your mouthwatering scent seduced senses.
How your luscious lips dissolved all walled defences.
Now I yearn for queen of my heart to re-appear,
to sleep in each others arms, into the new year.

Adrift in the midst of gladness and sadness,
in a plot without a twist, lost in blackness and slackness,
through turbulent trials, I yearn for you to return.

Without you the mind is misplaced in marshlands,
where intimacy is lost to complex riddles called life.
Under cold ebony skies, your memories flicker like candlelight,
you are the flame, which insulates my heart with devotional delight.

Wanted to experiment with a mix free verse and rhyme.
After contemplating calling it a free verse or rhyme, I settled for lyric.
Maybe an idea for a contest.

Your sigh is like the whisper of the wind.
How sweet its susurration in my ear.
I lie beneath your slender body pinned
with tenderness! You utter words sincere.

A river I’ve become because I feel
a flow of pleasure overtaking me
as all my inhibitions you now steal.
And like the brook nearby that I can see,
I’m feeling warm waves coursing through me too.
I murmur as I ripple with delight!
As sultrily you do those things you do,
we breathe more quickly, and our hearts take flight.

Low moans . . . the gasp! Was it yours or mine?
It matter not when bliss is this divine.

Within a land of Virgin Forest mystical wonders flourish
Trembles the pulsing heart of heavenly laden body at night
Ghostly figures shadows shoutout, dance, and nourish
Soft weaving mellifluous emerald-mist awaiting daylight

Chasms filled and mounds of decaying fallen trees below
Eloquent lace lichen and mats of moss embrace nature's seasons
Improbable flickering amber windows aglow
Amongst high-tower contorted trees bestow reasons

Verdure of mystical creatures lie low
Beneath enclosing trees bough
And susurration fluttering leaves

As brownies are busy all night tweaking chores
Alicorn, centaurs, fairies, and dwarf stir leaves of trees
High overhead night creaks, cries, and laughter flow
Sailing passage through moist earthy scent breeze

Verdure of mystical creatures lie low euphoric
Within a land of Virgin Forest

Premium Member Disorientation

My distant spirit is dying,
disheartened, disintegrating and self deprecating.
Defenceless, as hope disappears,
emotionally shipwrecked in deep waters,
yet to be discovered.

In the sadness of sentimental sighs,
silence is the sinister sister of separation.

Abandoned in an abode of unfairness,
my heart shimmers creating a crepuscular crescent,
emanating into an emotional eclipse -
in splitting darkness I've become invisible.

I've lost hope in being found
among faded stars and moonless nights.
I'm as transparent as an icicle,
melting in frozen fields of forgotten forever's.

In the deception of dreams,
gradually, the roots of grass begin to decay.
In misty meadows of manifestation,
sanctuary of my subdued supernova soul,
slumbers among rotting massacred moths,
motionless in a crumbling charcoal cocoon.

A slaughtered spirit spawns a suicide of sunshine,
as ebony eyes create Cimmerian shadows of smoke.
I've been taken hostage in a vault of torment,
hoping celestial spheres return soon -
but all I can hear is angels screaming.

I search for those susurration sounds
of homecoming birds of spring,
bringing the clarity of velvet sheen skies,
floating free like dandelions blowing in the wind,
unlocking shackles of sorrow,
easing stubborn tones of reasoning -
but no serenades can be heard.

The season of death is upon us,
so I remain disjointed in discomfort,
displaying dismay at being disowned -
leaving me feeling dizzy in dismal disorientation.

Premium Member Echoes of the Silent Shore

Level sands stretched beyond the range of vision
Sluggish blue waters touching the grey seaboard
Waves crashing on rocks with a lingering sound
The surging waves erasing footprints like wipers
Pyramidal red cedars diffusing camphor aroma
The mangroves standing on stilts along the shore
Velvet seals and cute penguins go on roaming
Flocks of seagulls swooping down to catch shellfish
Hustle and bustle all over due to fishing jargon
The salt air carries the whispers of sweethearts
The shells of clams lying half sunk in the sand
The sunlight makes them aglow as day stars
Bizarre and rare sights of the doomsday fish
As a harbinger of impending natural disasters
It’s a womb for unnumbered water creatures
Including the mythical Leviathan beneath the layers
The infinite water body stands as an epitome
For an indomitable spirit and immortality
For centuries, with no pauses but renewed energy
The profound tranquillity sprawling all over
In that twilight, when my hands wrapped around you
I felt the echoes of your throbbing heartbeats.
The susurration and all polyphonies became infrasonic
Except the pounding heartbeats that echo forever in my heart.

In the deluge of the surging river of life
Flooding me with devastating agony
I feel my senses sink deep within
With the debris of essence once ebullient.

As from the eroded bank of existence
I see my time disappear in the wreckage
I hear the distant bell toll relentless
Waft faintly in the still air, calling me.

And then the music of life gets silenced
In the broken violin I lose in an instant
Being submerged in solitude I hear the murmur
Of the sonorous stream within my soul.

As I search for me in introspection
I listen it whisper the swan song of consciousness
Resonating with the penultimate rhythm
Of my soulful melody of susurration.

Released from the clasp of karmic destiny
I transcend the limits of time and space
Yearning to embrace the perpetual peace
I beseech my soul to attain holiness.

Its pristine petals I see slowly unfold
Bloom the divine lotus of my spirit
Whispering God’s voice in the stormy night
The clouds of despair will disappear soon.

I plead let it light the candle of altruism and love
Radiate the gracious glow of God’s benevolence
Get liberated to fathom the infinite solace
Within quiet abode of absolute bliss in eternity.

In the devout sanctum of heavenly freedom
My soul will attain timeless euphoria of nirvana
The beauty of ultimate oneness it will behold
Merging with the supreme, never to return.

A splendid slice of the chromatic sky
Embellished with the design of delight
It drifts with beguiling soft flutter
Like the flash of sweet dream enthralling.

On the ripples of the whistling breeze
It floats in the patina of twilight gleam
Across the panorama of joyful spectacle
With the cadence of flying ballerina.

Its surreal beauty sparkles bright
Like the dislodged fragment of rainbow
Where I find my euphoric essence lie
As it dances and gently passes me by.

The rapture of ardent fervor I perceive
As it hovers in the ecstatic air around me
I hear the susurration of my dreams
In the melody of whispering wings of butterfly.

In the deluge of the surging river
of the stifling agony devastating,
I feel my senses sink deep within
with my essence once ebullient.

As from the eroded bank of existence
I see my time disappear in the wreckage,
I hear the distant bell toll relentless,
wafting faintly in the air for me.

And then the music of life silenced
in the broken violin I lose in an instant,
gets submerged in the serene murmur
of the sonorous stream of solitude.

As the tumultuous tides of time
search for their course to the eternity,
in the gleam of the fading twilight
I breathe the air of desolation.

I hear it whisper the swan song
in my ears on the passing,
resonating with the penultimate rhythm
of my soulful melody of susurration.

The slices of hope not yet crumbled,
I’ll raise from the desolate wasteland debris,
travel inward with meditated resolve
and reach the soul’s bay of bliss.
